PoliticsRe: After The Kano Mosque Attack, Is Islam And Muslims Still To Blame For BH by dachpee(m): 8:03pm On Nov 30, 2014
medamillion:
Boko Haram is politically motivated & manipulated. It has nothing 2 do with Islam! Just imagine a situation where a blood-thirsty terrorist throws bomb into the market, does he care maybe it's a muslim or christian that's in d market? Reason well.
GMB of APC said he would end BH when elected forgotten what he said before 2011 election

ALISMILE:
After the attack on the Kano Mosque which, so far, has resulted in d highest number of casualties in a single attack by BH, is it still rational to pin BH on Islam? Most of us in d South ve alws been quick to blame Islam and Muslims, wenever a church is attacked by BH. Mainly, due to religious bias and the aged long prejudice against Islam. Now who do we blame for this attack? We in d south together with CAN ve been saying that Sanusi is a supporter of BH. We ve alws peddled the idea that Buhari is a BH sponsor, even though he was attacked we said there was foul play, because he wasn't killed in d attack. When the Shehu of Borno was blacklisted by BH we said it was only a false flag until BH sent a suicide bomber to him in a failed attack. When Sheik Gumi's mosque was to be bombed by BH in another failed attack, we said it was another false flag. The former Emir of Kano was alleged to be a BH sympathizer until his convoy was attacked while he mysteriously escaped. CAN president ve been sayin that Northern leaders er not talking loud enough against BH and I ask, 'Who no dey fear'? Is it not time we stopped trading stupid blames and unite in d fight against this blood suckers? Any sunday a church Is bombed we ll say its Islam's war against Christians. For God's sake am tired of hearing all this sentimental bullshit. Tribal and religious tirade will take us no where! Have a blessed sunday!
It's just a cover up, over 4000 Christians has been beheaded by BH all Muslims are involved in this act.
PoliticsRe: I’ll End Insurgency If Elected President – Buhari by dachpee(m): 7:35pm On Nov 30, 2014
Wisepac:
former Head of State, General Muhammadu
Buhari (retd), has promised to fight insurgency
and other forms of insecurity in the country if
elected President under the platform of All
Progressives Congress in the 2015 general
elections.
The pledge is coming amidst rising insurgency
by the Boko Haram Islamic sect in the North
East and recent attack on Kano Central Mosque
He also denied sharing money during his recent
visit to IMO State during his nationwide tour to
meet APC delegates.
The Head (Media, Publicity and ICT) in Buhari
Support Organization, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe
stated these in his weekly brief on “GMB meet
the party delegates nationwide tour” read to
journalists on Friday in Abuja.
“At no time all did GMB, all through this meet
the delegates tour, share money or lobby any
delegate with money. As we all know a leopard
can never change its spot. Friends and
sympathizers may have privately encouraged
their colleague to attend the delegates meeting,
certainly not GMB directing or approving any
monetary exchange as being faultily being
reported by some online media”, he stated.
In his nationwide tour to meet delegates, Buhari
had visited Abia, Bayelsa, IMO, Delta, Cross
River and Rivers State where Governor Rotimi
Amaechi described him as a committed and
focused leader whose watch word is integrity
which remains a strong ingredient of his
character make up that will never change.
Maduekwe said, “The summary of all the
response and the welcoming remarks by GMB
at various state capitals can be summarized. He
made it clear that this country must first be
secured and efficiently and effectively managed
if our nation is to bounce back to normalcy for
our people to prosper. Leadership integrity must
be the focus watch word if we must salvage
Nigeria once again.
“We recall that we fought a ferrous civil war
without borrowing a kobo but now despite
budgeting well over 25 per cent of national
annual budget to defence recently we are
borrowing $1 billion to prosecute insurgency, yet
all we keep hearing is the low morale of our
fighting forces as they melt before the ravaging
ill trained insurgents.
“A situation were about 20 LGAs of this country
are under an alien flag can no longer be
tolerated. APC is ready to turn the tide to bring
Nigeria back into the fold of proud and
respectable community of African nations. Our
watch word is: securing our nation, prospering
our people.
“One is worried to read about Nigerian soldiers
giving interview to foreign media on how under
equipped they are as they face the insurgency.
Effort by the National Assembly to conduct
hearing on such sad development is hushed
down. Same as the NASS hearing on the
subsidy scam which till this date has remained a
mystery to our general public.”
Maduwke quoted Buhari as informing the
delegates that he has come to seek their
consent and support to vote for him at the
forthcoming presidential primaries.
He also told them that “if as a party we fail to
act strongly to win the 2015 elections then PDP
will not only destroy Nigeria but the people
living in it.”

PoliticsRe: Chamberlain Resigned As British PM During World War II -APC by dachpee(m): 2:45pm On Nov 08, 2014
ogbongenet:
The All Progressives Congress has said the Presidency needs a “refresher course in
history”if it is not aware that a leader has had cause to resign in the course of a war in which his or her country was involved in.
In a statement in Abuja on Friday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party reminded the Presidency that Neville Chamberlain resigned as British Prime Minister on May
10, 1940, after Adolf Hitler forced the allies
to retreat from Norway.
”According to available information,
Chamberlain led Britain through the first
eight months of World War II but had to
resign after the Allies were forced to retreat
from Norway, because of his belief that a
government supported by all parties was
essential for the unity needed to defeat
Adolf Hitler. The resignation paved the way
for Winston Churchill, who later became the
hero of the War,” it said.
APC therefore said the call by former Lagos
State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on
President Goodluck Jonathan to resign in
view of the insecurity in the country and
the fact that some parts of Nigeria had
been occupied by terrorists was neither
extraordinary nor unprecedented.
”The call by one of our leaders is about
taking responsibility. President Jonathan is
the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed
Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If
under his watch Nigerian territories are
being annexed progressively by insurgents,
and all that he has demonstrated so far is
sheer cluelessness and incompetence, it is
time for him to take responsibility and quit
in the national interest, to pave the way for
a leader who can lead the country to
victory,” the party said.
It said all the blame game and name calling
by the presidency, targeted at the
opposition, constituted a mere distraction.
APC added, ”The Presidency is right to say
that when terrorists attacked the US in
September 2001, the leaders of the
Democratic Party did not demand a
resignation of President George Bush but
rather they rose in defence of the American
nation to support the various measures
taken by the President to defeat the Al-
Qaeda terrorists.
”What the Presidency forgot to say,
however, is that Americans would not have
rallied behind then President Bush if he had
been photographed snuggling with any
sponsor of Al-Qaeda as President Jonathan
did with one of the alleged sponsors of
Boko Haram in Chad.
“Americans would not have rallied behind
Bush if 9-11 had occurred not just once but
twice or thrice, because it would have
shown that the President is simply
incompetent to lead.”
The party believed Tinubu’s call was
justified over the successful annexation of a
substantial part of the North-East by the
terror group.
It said, ”President Jonathan watched
helplessly as Boko Haram moved from
Sambisa Forest to take over a large chunk
of territory in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe
states and proclaim a Caliphate. President
Jonathan watched helplessly as Boko Haram
abducted and took away almost 300 girls,
holding most of them for over 200 days
and still counting.
“His Administration is even mocking and
harassing those who are campaigning for
the release of the girls. No people in the
world will give such a leader unconditional
support.
”Therefore, even if no leader in history has
ever resigned during war (even though we
have now proved that is not correct),
nothing prevents President Jonathan from
becoming the first leader to do so. After all,
never in the history of any nation has
incompetence and cluelessness been
exhibited by any leader, as President
Jonathan has done, when the country is at
war.”
What year? Is Iraq not in war,

PoliticsRe: Dangote's Cement Price Drop Was To Support GEJ's Agenda by dachpee(m): 10:33pm On Nov 04, 2014
[quote author=ducii post=27692135]The True Reason Why Dangote Slashed Cement Prices Revealed

Africa’s largest cement producer, Dangote Cement Plc has slashed local cement prices to N1,000 ($6) and N1,150 ($7), for different grades. The cement giant is keen to consolidate its position as not only Africa’s top cement maker, but the leading provider in the continent’s largest economy, Nigeria.

The current market price for a 50kg bag of the 32.5 grade and 42.5 grade retails for N1,700 ($10.3), 40 percent higher than Dangote’s latest offer. This is the lowest cement price offered consumers since 2005, and ups the ante in what is considered one of the continent’s more competitive markets.

Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement, Devakumar Edwin said the price cut was aimed at supporting the government’s ongoing effort to shrink housing deficit, which currently stands at an estimated 17 million.

“One of the ways of addressing the issue (huge infrastructure and housing deficit) is bringing the price of building materials down to much more affordable levels, especially cement, which is within our own control as part of our contribution to the transformation agenda of the President Goodluck Jonathan administration and the attainment of key milestones in the Millennium Development Goals,” Edwin said.

Since the backward integration policy for cement was implemented in 2002, local production capacity of the product has increased from less than 3 million metric tonnes per annum to about 38 million metric tonnes per annum, and nearly $20 billion has been injected into the Nigerian cement industry with Dangote – Africa’s richest man and owner of the Dangote Group – accounting for 60 percent of that investment.

With market capitalization surging beyond $22 billion, Dangote Cement is Nigeria’s most capitalized listed company and the first to hit $20 billion capitalization mark.
