Politics / Recruitment Of Propagandists Against Plateau Communities By Inspirational S.c. by dachpee(m): 9:02am On Feb 18, 2016
It is quite unfortunate the situation that we have today with our brothers the nearby Berom of Vwang district of Jos South.
It isn't with pleasure to remember d time we shared with our love ones that were forced to join the ancestors impromptus; I take it as a divine plan.
It won't be good if i keep mute of what is happening as if I am not aware. I am a true irigwe man but resides in Vom. On this note I will like to lay a ground not minding who should be blame or whatsoever. My life from childhood I have known the Berom of this district as friends beside the intertribal war that took place centuries. Our relationship is seen beside inter marriage, in giving farm lands to them to cultivate and get food from it mostly not collecting money from them but after farming whatever harvest they might had they take a token to the landlord. Personally, my grand father gave a Berom man a farm land which my father left it with after the death of my grandfather and when my dad also pass on I left it with him which he later objected n refrained from base on reasons know to him.
Up till date, the Berom still farm in kwall. Three or more villages in irigwe land is occupied by the Berom and that has never been a problem at all.
To talk on the present situation that we have found ourselves in with our neighbours, I will like to establish two basic fact that could have led to the unexpected tragedy.
Firstly, the issue of harbouring Fulani in irigwe land and that Irigwe people often join forces with the Fulani to attack the Berom. I think this is a baseless excuss to have lunch an attack to the Irigwe people. In 2001 during the first crisis which started in Vom and Fulani were sent out of the communities of Vwang and Irigwe nations, it started there and Irigwe man accepted the temptation of refusing a place for the fulani and collaborates with the Berom man in sending out the Fulani cattle rarers. Later on peace was preached n the presence of the barraks lured the fulani back to Irigwe land. Since some Berom communities also have fulanis the irigwe man had to swallow his anger of what the Fulani did to him at a village in kwall by killing and slaughtering even pregnant women. It was a terrible massacre. Also, we have not for once heard of an attack around any of our Vwang neighbours even if there were that we are not aware of, the monarchs should have met and discuss issues toward finding solutions. But it wasn't done that way. Last year December when an attack was lunched at Kwata Zawang, which we all felt the pains our Vwang neighbours attacked our Irigwe brothers that went to take home there harvest where they killed 3 and the others escapes with injuries. This drew the attention of those of us nearby and even the monarch and it was apologised for. The lives of Irigwe people went for in for apology.
Kwata is not close to kwall beside behind Kwata there is a village call Sabon Gida which is a Berom area dominated by the Fulani but since this sad occurance occured why didn't my neighbours think of sabon Gida but Kwall? Also, if they are certain that the Fulani were from kwall why won't they district head call on the attention of the Bra-Nngwe Irigwe so that they can find a lasting solution to it?
But it wasn't done like that instead it was 'how many are they (Irigwe) let just finish them and rest.'
After the last year's situation, just this Monday 15th Feb., another attack was lunch on innocent Irigwe youth that left their home to Vom market which is a usual thing only to be marcheted on their way. My people, will continue waiting in patience untill u re all killed one after the other knowing fully well that u re not really much in number? Beside what did the Berom people do with the number of fulanis in Barki Ladi and environs?
Secondly, politics. It hurt me to remember that politics that should be a cord that binds us together is tearing us apart. During the electioniary processes, the Irigwe people were tagged betrayers for refusing in unison to support GNS who was an imposed candidate. Instead of it to remain as a political issue it has turn to an issue of crisis that the Irigwe man despite its small number and his small land scape he is still being hunted.
Personally, I don't have a problem with any Berom man they are my friends and neighbours. We know that you are much in number but don't use your number to maltreat anybody and dont expect an Irigwe man to fold his hands while you are killing them one after another. We should have a way of settling our differences I won't accept it if my people were the ones taunting and tormenting you as a result of may be we were larger than your number.
Remember the good time we had together, all the acha and other grains we shared. Those who are not within Vwang and environs may not know all this but how funny it is that the stomach we both fed we are tearing them apart. Very much unwise of us out common enemies will laugh at us.

Pls brothers if at the core of this writing I offended u pls pardon but this is just to create a basis to what is happening. If um hungry I think the closest place for me to enter is a Berom man's house for a piece of bread so let us learn to tolerate one another and get rid of bitterness. We will sit in the same church together on Sunday, meet at the same market and share things together so let shun our difference and embrace peace.

Politics / Open Letter To Plateau State Governor By Comrade Gad by dachpee(m): 9:54am On Jan 19, 2016
COMR GAD WROTE:
At the inception of this current administration, several governors in the spirit of change, out of sheer excitement, and probably because of the economic difficulties made promises of forfeiting their salaries, or receiving half salaries, merging of MDAs, running a lean government, none purchase of new official cars, payment of salaries as at when due to civil servants and many other heart touching promises. Mr. President rejected the idea of getting him new cars and also reduced the number of MDAs.
But almost eight months down the line, it seem some of the governors have gone back to the old ways of business as usual. We have family and friends running the businesses of government, billions are spent on purchases of new cars for the governor and his political aides, purchase, renovation and building of new houses by government officials, social events and parties have become the order of the day and governance have taken the back seat.
Less than half of the monies spent on purchasing new cars for the governor and his political aides and several milllions used in personal buildings could fix a number of hosiptals, provide portable water, fix rural roads, rehabilitate schools, provide jobs, revitalise the industries and create more jobs.
When a governor is serious about development and impacting the lives of the citizens of his state, you will need no media or anything and everything supporters to amplify that intention. How can a governor that spent billions to purchase cars for his use, for his commissioners, other political appointees and spent millions in fixing his personal houses without meeting a single basic need of the people that elected him be celebrated? Any ways such a person is clearly not a governor that is in hurry to perform.
Do I need remind us that in Nigeria elected officials have Just TWO YEARS in the real sense of the word to perform. The last two years of the four years are usually used for politicking and seeking for re-election.
Governors, please start working for the masses.. Do not listen to those that will say is tvoo early to start working. Four years is counting down already and we are not far from there but very far from the campaign promises.

Politics / The Buhari Comfortable Hell By Comr. Dater Pekop by dachpee(m): 6:09pm On Dec 23, 2015
BUHARI HELL!
A man died and went to hell. There, he was told that there are different hells under the care of various world leaders. He then decided that he would choose the less painful hell to spend his eternity. First, he tried out Obama' s hell. "What do they here?" He asked. "First", he was told "they put you in a dungeon of burning petrol for an hour, then they lay you on a bed of nails for an hour, then they put you in an electric chair for another hour and the Obama devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day. "Very unpleasant!" The man exclaimed and moved on. He tried the Cameron's hell, the Mirkel's hell, the Hollande's hell, the Putin's hell, the Mahaman's hell and so many other hells. He got the same replies as that of the Obama's. He determined never to give up. He continued his search for the most comfortable hell. Suddenly, he came to the Buhari's hell. He was gladdened by the long queue he saw. He asked excitedly, "What do they do here?" The reply came: " First they put you in a dungeon of burning petrol for an hour, then they lay you on a bed of nails for an hour, then they put you in an electric chair for an hour and the Buhari devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day". "But that is exactly what they do in the other hells, why are there so many people gathered here"? The man asked, surprised. He was told: "Because the price of petrol in the Buhari's hell is not affordable, so the dungeon is not even burning. The nails were paid for but were never supplied by the contractor who happened to belong to the same credo with Buhari, so the bed of nails is comfortable to sleep on. There is no electricity in the Buhari's hell, so the electric chair doesn't hurt. Finally, the Buhari devil is a Nigerian cabinet minister who comes to the office, signs the time sheets and goes on an overseas trip, in a similar fashion with the grand master(Buhari) himself. It is even clear that the grand master (Buhari) will soon go for a 6 monthr vacation. So nobody whips".
It pays great rewards to be in the Buhari hell you know!
Oh! Guys, never mind. Just a mild way of expressing my frustrations over the gross inadequacies of the Buhari administration. Still hoping that he shall make good all the inadequacies for Nigeria to move forward.
I will in no small measure appreciate all your criticisms; both constructive and destructive. Insults are also highly appreciated.
Politics / Open Letter To Rt. Hon Lalong Of Plateau State By Comr Dater Pekop Dawu by dachpee(m): 10:09am On Dec 22, 2015
Lalong are You the One or We Should Wait for Another?
Lalong my dear Governor, we have been hoping for the best yet we are getting the worst day by day. Though I knew and still know that you were not credible(I mean you did not and still do not have what it takes ) to lead a state that is the only one of its own kind.Yet I was all the same not uncomfortable with your victory at the polls with the hope that people change. I was therefore ready to concede to the benefits of that grace. Please make no mistake about this, I am not a fanatic to any politician. Neither am I a sycophant to just watch your gross inadequacies and ignore them pretending that all is well.
Let's put the records straight: Many that supported you said that your opponent was the right candidate at the wrong time. They confirmed that he was the most credible and the best candidate but.... They contended that you were not credible but you were the only option they could use to flush out your predecessor and his "god son" just like the people of Plateau Central used Sen. Satty Gogwim to flush out Sen. Ibrahim Nassiru Mantu at the end of which they said a big thank you to Satty Gogwim and then sent him to the dustbin to a seemingly everlasting oblivion. You confirmed that you never dreamt of becoming the governor of Plateau state, but many thanks to the political miscalculations of your predecessor. You were asked how you would tackle corruption and insecurity in Plateau state; your words: "Mai gidan mu a Abuja zai gaya mana abinda za mu yi". Hold on, you don't understand; I am not trying to be negative, I am only re-echoing what your supporters and yourself believe are facts that proved why you were "a product of circumstances and a child of necessity". Put in another way: "a product of political miscalculation and a smart opportunist".
I presuppose that what your supporters call your lack of credibility is your weak oratorial skills as though you were a student activist. My own definition of your incredibility is different from your supporters'. I felt and still feel that you are well read and yet you lack ideas. You tried to protect, from impeachment, a man who should, in the least, be described as a failure. You had no workable plans for Plateau state before you became the governor just like your political god father and cohort, Sen. Chief Dr. J.C. Dariye who only wakes up each day to ask what would be done to the people of Plateau state; you are simply an old wine in a new bottle. You are well exposed to many leadership experiences yet you seem not to be learnable.
It is accordingly instructive that you note as follows: (1) The rescue mission must in no time free the good citizens of Plateau state from the apron strings of wanton poverty and unemployment. (2) The rescue mission must better the loads of the workers of Plateau state especially that of our GALLANT & NEVER-DIE TEACHERS; the NATION BUILDERS who are NEVER TIRED workmen. Who have shown themselves approved and need not be ashamed of themselves. (3) The rescue mission must immediately go after all the looters of our treasury to raise money and stop this obnoxious excuses of "no money". (4) The rescue mission should immediately end the gruesome killings and reckless attacks on innocent citizens of Plateau state. (5) The rescue mission should immediately devise means of internal revenue generation to take care of our immediate problems.
Finally Mr Governor, we have waited so long for our expectations to be met; we are now asking whether you are the one or we should wait for another. Don't think it is too early to ask, remember you are on a mission and you have no vision. Please deliver the mission as soon as possible and give way; you are running out of time. You owe this much to posterity.
Please accept the warm assurances of my highly esteemed loyalty.
Politics / Plateau Attack: False News By The Stf. By Berom Youth Moulders by dachpee(m): 7:01pm On Dec 18, 2015
PRESS RELEASE BY THE BEROM YOUTH MOULDERS-ASSOCITION ON 18TH DECEMBER 2015.
RE: ATTACK ON HOSS AND HWAK-KWATA ZAWAN COMMUNITIES ON SUNDAY 13TH DECEMBER 2015.
Our attention has been drawn to media reports credited to the Media Officer Operation Safe Haven Captain Ikedichi concerning the man onslaughts by Fulani Herdsmen in Gwol Hoss of Riyom Local Government and Hwak-Kwata Zawan of Jos South Local Government Areas respectively where he claimed that the attack on the Berom on Sunday 13th December 2015 in the two affected villages were aftermath of previous attack on the Fulani.
While we commend the STF for mitigating attack incidences in recent times and pray God to endow them with the desired acumen to bring these long orchestrated ethnic cleansing to a halt; we make bold to say that STF’s allusion of the attack on the Berom to a reprisal by the Fulani herdsmen is unfounded, malicious as well as misleading, and a justification for a condemnable crime which’s perpetrators ought to have been out-rightly apprehended and prosecuted.
We are dumbfounded on hearing the STF justify killings of innocent villager in cold blood with the assertion that the simultaneous attacks were reprisals ; that goes to say that killings in the guise of reprisal has been legalized in this part of the country hence such heinous acts does not amount to misdeed.
This unlawful justification of the killings further drives us to vagueness of the STF’s ability to nip the recurrent attacks on our villages which has drastically depleted us numerically.
It is on record that there has been no incident of assault on any Fulani herdsman in Kwata Zawan preceding the numerous attacks on the Berom and other ethnic groups ,hence, worthy of note is that the 13th December 2015 unambiguous simultaneous terrorist attacks on Kwata and Hoss villages were renewed incidences with the intent of cleansing the Berom ethnic group and not reprisal in any way as asserted by the STF in several media appearances .
The unprovoked killing of 6 villagers alongside soldier in Gwol Hoss Riyom Local Government Area and 16 Villages in Hwak-Kwata Gwol of Jos South Local Government Areas respectively by the Fulani was so conspicuous that members of the STF should not claim ignorance of, such that they resort to branding the attacked as aggressors and further declaring fallacious figure of 12 deaths from the two separate incidences against the actual of 22.
Latest in the sequence of these killings is the brutal murder of Pastor Yohanna of COCIN Banghai while on transit with his beloved wife who narrowly escaped death with multiple gunshot wounds by the herdsmen on Wednesday 16th December 2015 and the STF would boldly justify this reprehensible acts.
We are also perplexed with the trailing of a Berom traditional leader by the STF whom they alleged was responsible for the purported killing of 2 herdsmen in the same location where Fulani herdsmen consistently kills the Beroms in outrageous numbers daily, yet there has been no attempt to apprehend any of their leaders, hence we are strained to state that the STF is consciously acting the scripts of the Fulani herdsmen.
The STF having known the motive of the attackers clearly depicts its knowledge of their (attackers) identity, yet they continue to brand them as ‘unknown gun men’ without concerted effort to unmask them.
We hereby use this medium to call on the STF to identify and flush out bad eggs amongst them, make concerted and deliberate efforts in employing Professionalism to contain the resurgence of insecurity in Berom land, stop the unacceptable justification of crime in what so ever guise, condemn criminality in all spheres by bringing perpetrators to book not withstanding who is involved, then peace and tranquility shall be restored in the Land.
Also, as a measure to curb the security uprising, the STF must disarm these well trained terrorist, prosecute and identify their sponsors with the view to ending this ordeals that has inflicted immense losses and untold hardship on the Berom populace.

Chuwang C. Dalyop - President

Politics / Why Is Pmb Keeping Quite On The Destruction By The Fulanis? by dachpee(m): 9:26pm On Sep 23, 2015
Let me start by registering my condolence, sympathy and concern to the family of those who have been killed, kidnapped and sexually molested.
In recent times, Nigeria as a Country has witnessed series of killings, kidnappings and incidence of rape which has been on the increase and remains unabated. It is worrisome that that people are no longer safe in their houses and engaging in agricultural and other forms of economic activities tend to expose them to much greater risks.
It is no longer news that Nigeria today is under serious security threats and it would only take the cooperation of patriotic Nigerians and their unity to neutralize those responsible for the carnage we are witnessing as a Nation by terrorists and their sponsors.
There have been calls from various quarters on the need for the government to do more in the aspect as security even when though security is every person’s business.
Any time I think of the ongoing attacks/killings in Plateau State, North-Central and the North-Eastern parts of the Country which has lingered for some decades now I end up with the feeling that we are in a Country with laws that not operational or maybe they are only to be adhered strictly to by some people while others break it without being punished to serve as deterrent to potential law-breakers.
Taking life which is considered as precious before God is as simple, easier and with pleasure to some people in Nigeria today. Shedding human blood is like just killing a fly as human life has lost its value in the society we live in. No one can guarantee your safety and one cannot be convinced of coming back home safety after going out. This situation has continued unabatedly most especially in Plateau State since 2001 and one begin to wonder when such ugly experience would stop.
Many lives have been lost, many injured while many displaced and their property worth Billions of Naira being razed and looted by gunmen who have taken over as well as illegally occupying the lands of their victims.
Little of no attention has been given to many of the victims of terrorism in Plateau State, because they continue to wallow in abject poverty after being displaced from their ancestral aborigines. The situation is very sad, pathetic and totally unacceptable here in Plateau State and some North-Central States
Many a times, these attacks are said to be carried out by unknown gunmen but with the recent attack and kidnap of Chief Olu Falae (former Secretary to the Government of the Federation) on the day he was supposed to be celebrating his birthday on his farm in Ondo State by identified persons as well the rape of women in Benue and Taraba States within the same period has demonstrated that a lot need to be done to bring these gunmen to book as all their atrocities have left a bitter taste in the mouth and an indication that no place is safe any longer in Nigeria.
The magnitude of terror being perpetuated by the terrorists in not only a Regional or National threat to our National Unity, peaceful co-existence and harmonious living but a global threat which is highly condemnable as well as capable of discouraging investors (local and foreign) from making considerable and beneficial investments in our Country.
Terrorism is already affecting our economy and National unity negatively.
From the North-East, they have spread their networks to Plateau State and other strategic States in Nigeria with the aim of conquering and taken over the States.
Their acts of terrorism have brought negative impact to our reputation as a Country both regionally and Internationally and if nothing is being done to address the situation, they would succeed in turning Nigeria to Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria and the rest of the Countries that are currently under siege by terrorists.
It is high time for government at all levels to come up with sound, functional, workable and reliable approach to the insecurity bedeviling our Nation and threatening our peaceful co-existence. The security system should be further empowered and enhanced for optimal performance. The security personnel should be seen being patriotic, proactive and professional in the discharge of their duties. They MUST live up to their responsibilities of protecting our National integrity, life and property of the populace as well as the maintenance of law and order so that Nigeria does not become a lawless Nation.
Fair, even and kind treatment should be given to victims of terrorism through compensation, reconstruction and rehabilitation while government should be seen working tirelessly to restore peace and order in the affected communities.
Internally Displaced Persons are victims of government’s negligence, lack of diligence and good governance and need government intervention so that they would have sense of belonging in the societies where they live.
Government should take the fight against corruption and terrorism with all the deserved seriousness not the usual lip service and not with kid gloves.
There is the need for greater unity of purpose among patriotic Nigerians and this would neutralize the strength of the terrorists and their sponsors. We also need to cooperate with the security personnel who are ready and willing to perform their duties according to their rules of engagement with sensitive/confidential information at all times.
As a youth, I am committed to anything within the ambit of the law that would restore peace, build confidence and trust as well as bring about improvement to economic development of Nigeria.
While I comment the present administration’s resolve for us to have a corrupt-free Nation, I’ll lend my unalloyed support to the fight against corruption which is now a menace and a canker worm that has eaten deep into the fabrics of our society. I would also want the government to channel its administrative arsenal to fight against terrorism, improvement in power supply, education, providing gainful employment to the unemployed youths (who are ready, willing and capable of contributing their quota to Nation building) and capacity building of the citizenry.
The youths are always readily available for those who doesn’t mean well for this Country, people whose stock-in-trade is to ignite crisis by negatively brain-washing and making financial inducement to them on account of the economic realities in the Country. It is at this point that I would want the government to give special attention to capacity building of the youths through massive empowerment, employment, skill acquisition programme (this can be done by empowering the ITF and National Directorate of Employment) and educational scholarship disbursements. There is need for massive orientation, peace advocacies, workshops and seminars for participation by the youths.
Youths who are credible, competent, willing, ready, and able as well as with proven integrity should be recruited into the machinery of government and allowed to participate actively in the governance process. Once the youths are engage, the crisis merchants would find it difficult to penetrate them for their parochial interests.
I know of many youths who when given the opportunity to serve would do credibly well. As youths our concerns are to see that peace is restored, confidences are built, and our security is guaranteed so that we can unlock our potentials in order to contribute immensely to Nation building. We expect a lot from this administration and we shouldn’t be treated fairly and justly even with our “Oliver Twist” (always wanting more) dispositions.
While government is playing its cardinal roles of fulfilling its mandate, the youths would ensure they play significant roles by contributing their quota to National growth and development.
Since youths are said to be the vanguard of the society, it is incumbent then that they are mentored, empowered, tutored and their capacities built so that they can fulfill their full potentials as well as reach self-actualization at appreciable levels.
Government should ensure that all those engaged in the dastard acts of killings are brought to book so that they would face the full wrath of the law.
The Federal government should not treat the issue of Chief Olu Falae with levity or kid gloves but work to ensure his timely release by his abductors and make sure the kidnappers are caught and punish according to the laws of the land.
Our optimism of a better Nigeria should not be dashed but kept awake with great/visible hope by our leaders. It is therefore worthy to note that insecurity has constituted major threats/setbacks to our National Unity, Peaceful Co-existence, religious tolerance, economy development and harmonious living.
The spate of killings potent grave danger which if left unaddressed is capable of dividing this Country by inciting civil war among Nigerians.
I align my voice to those calling for the establishment of State and Community Police which when empowered and strengthened would address the insecurity militating against our peace.
Peace is priceless, our National unity and interest should not be compromised if we are to make significant progress in terms of unlocking our economic potentials for National development.
United in peace we stand, but divided in disunity we fall.
God bless Plateau State, Nigeria and all patriotic Nigerians.
