My brother, Greed has degrees. The greed of Nigerians has no comparison. This one is a greed that has no honour. Banmeallday: |
Nigeria's Real Problem. I have come to realise that a vast majority of Nigerians do not even know the problem of the country. Now how do you solve the problem when you do not even know the problem? When you ask most Nigerians, they are quick to say: It's Leadership! it's corruption! Religion! Those are only products of the problem. Nigerians have one common problem called GREED!!! This problem as long as it lasts will never allow the country amount to anything meaningful. Everyone wants to consume more than enough to last their families for as long as the earth exists. When they don't get the opportunity, they complain. There's Political Greed by the North (especially the North West) to ensure power remains in and around their cottage until Nigeria ceases to exist. They will keep scheming and running permutations to keep the vision even at the detriment of the country. Meanwhile, every other tribe scuttles for opportunity to grab the position as well to turn the table. The ones that believe the seat is far from reach, will cry foul and threaten to leave. There's Business Greed by the ones that do business. They're undistinguishly similar to the politicians. They're equally dangerous! Some will exhaust what's in their stock and sell adulterated contents, just to make money. They don't care if you die. Majority will want to make 200% profit or more. Then accuse you of not patronising them. A little news or rumour instigates and skyrockets market price of everything, which when they go up will NEVER come down. How many average Nigerians can afford Made in Nigerian products (mostly which cannot pass through international quality test) which are costlier than imported products of standard? Recently, Buhari shut down Nigeria's borders which I totally support for security and economic reasons. However, I have a strong feeling that the major instigators of the President to make this move is the RIFAN (Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria). Good right? So they can sell local rice yeah? Okay, now Bubu has shut the borders, the market price of rice both local and foreign has gone all time high up! N20,000 - N25,000. Why does local rice have to be costly for Nigerians to buy when these farmers get free money to plant, free fertilisers, easy loans (that many never repay), Grants and some even get free lands to plant with so many interventions here and there? Ethnic Greed too is there, you'll see different clans, villages and communities fighting over lands and all. And so it trickles down to even the unborn generation. It's rubbed in or faces daily, young ones are encouraged to be greedy to be respected. The rogue politicians, corrupt civil servants, fraudsters, con men, enterprising clerics, and people with questionable wealth are now celebrated as role models. The earlier this is addressed, the closer we are to greatness as a nation. Can it be addressed though? If yes, How?

izzyboi:I don't know ur I don't think so. But it's no longer available at the moment |
izzyboi:Promo?! Never did any promo. 1st case: I used them, then I noticed they just debit my account without prior notice, especially for hidden charges. I eventually decided to do domain transfer to a Nigerian company that year. I faced hell! It was as if I filed for a divorce in the U.S. 2nd Case: My web developer in India used GoDaddy for my work, without me knowing. The domain expired and GoDaddy put it up for auction! |
izzyboi:GoDaddy is a rip off honestly. I have used them twice, the experiences were sour. |
Why should I use Nigerian Hosting Companies and what do they offer in par or ahead of international ones? |
Hello, Please can experts here help with very reliable web hosting platforms where one can buy domain names. Thanks |
mrvitalis:Very funny. How did you think South West negotiated for Power in 1999? You know nothing. You only sit on Nairaland and drop beer parlor talks. South West and North West are blocs to be wary of in Nigeria. You can't out rightly wade these Yorubas off, except of course you're as dumb as Jonathan. |
South West has more leverage than any other region. The North takes them seriously, at least more than Igbos. Let's not start talking. mrvitalis: |
gaddafe:Your response is empty and rude. You cannot type but you can fault someone's work, that's part of the problem of Nigeria. I too know. You should have brought the elders of your house here who could type to teach us history instead of dropping shallow comments. |
gaddafe:Expantiate further let's all learn here. |
Unfortunately you do not even have a name. There's a point to pick from every piece if you're intelligent. Also please recommend me the history books that will educate me enough. Idiot IntrovertedK: |
I never mentioned that Nigerians killed. But did Nigerians ever blame foreigners for their woes? Did Nigerians ever believe that sending people away from their country will make them better? |
donbachi:You mean Nigerians are hell bent on being bad? |
What goes around comes around. Nigerians were once lazy because of oil discovery and boom. Ghanaians (who had once driven out Nigerians from Ghana in 1969) got in to do all the hard and dirty jobs while the Nigerians gallivant, get scholarships with allowances, and jobs waiting for them. The whole world loved Nigerians, wanted them. Something went wrong... Instead of thinking properly to discover the root cause, Nigerians pointed fingers.... "It's these Ghanaians!" They said. Blaming foreigners from neighbouring countries, especially Ghanaians for their woes. "Ghana Must Go! Ghana Must Go! They chanted, failing to deal with their real problems. Ghanaians left, crying, with no hope for the future. They came here for greener pastures because they believe THESE ARE OUR BROTHERS. There's no assurance of what their country will offer them when they return. Decades after.... Nigeria had sunk deeper into the swamp of horrific corruption, ethnic division, systemic failure, insecurity, fraud, crime, confusion, contaminated value system and rusted Leadership. Nigeria becomes a shadow of itself like a Giant reduced to an ant. Ghanaians built their country in sweat since there's no BROTHER to run to for solace. Now Nigerians jump there..... South Africa should learn from Nigeria Nigeria should learn from Ghana. There's implication for every action. Dada-Stephen

donbachi:As in you mean all these na for my pocket? |
Dear Nigerians All Over The World, Please I beg you in the name of Almighty God. You don't need too much money to be happy in life, You don't need to be a millionaire to be successful, You don't need people to praise you to prove you're made. You don't need to cut corners to be great. God already made you the king of all creatures by bestowing his inspiration and initiative upon you. It's a matter of time, you'll be great, You'll be celebrated. Remember the deeds and saying of our forefathers and live by them. Leave all the dirty habits for others while you work diligently. The whole world points to you because someone must be blamed for the decadence of the world. You will succeed in all that you do. Shun Crime, Shun Fraud, Shun anything that will bring reproach to your future children. One day e go better. Dada-Stephen |
How I will Respond to South Africa if I was President of Nigeria Recall Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa Expel South African High Commissioner to Nigeria. Permanently ban importation of products from South Africa Permanently boycott any event, function or activity in/with South Africa Shut down their embassy, any Nigerian that wants to go there should apply elsewhere. Cut trade ties with South Africa Ban South Africa Airways from Nigeria Stop Shoprite (double their tax), SPAR, Game, Stanbic IBTC, Multi Choice (triple their tax) and MTN from remitting any money to South Africa from Nigeria. Blacklist South Africa as a terrorist country Strengthen Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia's economy against South Africa through fresh trade agreements and partnerships Don't honour the President's apology. Let there be a treaty between the two countries and an agreement reached that any attack on any Nigerians living in South Africa legally will require that Nigeria sends military troops to South Africa.
