PoliticsYar'adua's Bad Boy. by Daddybee(op): 3:16pm On Aug 07, 2010
Yesterday (6th August), I visited the Sahara Reporters' website and what I saw shocked me. There was a photonews of a boy who should be around 11 years old named Musa Yar'adua, son of our late president. The pictures were taken at Aso Rock when the father was still at the helm of affairs.

There was a picture he took posing with an AK47 rifle beside a car. In another, he was on a brand new power bike but the one that really shocked me was where the little boy posed holding a lot of our currency in 1000naira denomination while he spreaded the rest around him on the floor. I am talking of a lot of cash! I was so shocked that instead of posting it immediately I only called my nephews who are around his age to come and see the absurdity. I just left the website before it now occured to me that I should have posted it. By the time I got back there the pictures have been removed. I am still at a loss why SR removed it so quickly. These are the only kind of things that can propel people to carry arms and chase these crooks away. And please dont be deceived that it only goes on in Aso Rock. Its a normal occurence in all our goverment houses. It means they load a lot of cash in there to play with even by their toddler children while a lot of Nigerians go to bed without one square meal.

PoliticsIjebu Igbo: Town Without A King For 16 Yrs. by Daddybee(op): 10:51am On Jul 17, 2010
Ijebu Igbo, arguably the second largest town in Ogun state has been without a king for the past 16 years. The last monarch of the town, Oba Adetayo died in 1994 and since then all efforts to have a new king has been unsuccessful.

Ijebu Igbo is the home town of many illustrous men and women dead and living. People like the late Abraham Adesanya, Micheal Adenuga, Prof. Babatunde Oshotimehin, Sen. Lekan Mustapha, Dr. Ademola Babajide etc. I believe this town would have been more developed than this if there had been a king. The politicians from this town are self centred and do not really care about the development of the town because Gbenga Kaka, the deputy governor under Osoba is from this town. There should be concerted effort towards instally a new king in this town. Perhaps we should seek the assistance of the Awujale and Oba Otudeko whose mothers are from this town. The problem is that most of this town's elites does not show much interest in the development of the town. It was after his mother died that Mike Adenuga deemed it fit to build a personal house in the town and I am not sure he has slept in the building since after the burial. I doff my hat for the elites of Ijebu Ode. May be its because they have a king. We need a paramount ruler in Ijebu Igbo.
PoliticsThe Emerging Evil Called Oshiomole by Daddybee(op): 9:17pm On Jul 13, 2010
For a very long time, activists have taken Nigerians for a ride but I have never fallen for their antics. The latest example of how these evil set of set of people can turn around to show who they really are is the so called people's servant, Adams Oshiomole.

When I read on Saharareporters how he was at Terry Waya's bash at Lucky Igbinedion's house in South Africa, I was not surprised. I have always hated people that shout to drive their points home. It shows pretense and this he has done since his days as NLC president. During his days as the labour leader, he was always ready to call workers out on strike over minimum wage. I naturally expected Edo to be the highest paying state but lo and behold the people's servant is waiting for the FG to bell the cat before he can raise wages. People that won election on PDP's platform were defecting to AC without vacating office and they were being welcomed with open arms. If PDP has been doing it, does it make it right? Must people fighting fora change tow the same path?

So many of this activists invite people like Tinubu to speak at different fora and even celebrate him. Do they want to tell that Tinubu is a saint or that they are not aware of the atrocities he commited as Lagos state governor? Let it be noted to these people that we are not fools. I will not like to take this personal but let it be known that we know the real activists. I rest my case.

This is not a matter of being a mistake, it is a matter of asking ourselves if it is morally right.
