The Army should give NASENI access to the helicopters so they can learn a thing or two about the tech and apply it in the making of the Nigerian made helicopter

Maybe add 3 more frames to their order for teardown and reverse research

Politics / RE: 10 Days To Go: No Cash For elections-INEC by DaddyGoo: 9:45am On Feb 15, 2023
I'm a Nigerian and I believe we are all about solving problems as a people.

Reading this story was frankly disheartening.
https://www.nairaland.com/7569675/10-days-go-no-cash

I think I may help INEC have a solution. A simple and minimally costly one.

Create 240,000 (number of polling units) bank accounts across all the banks in Nigeria.

This should be done using the polling units name, number and INEC as account name.

INEC funds the account with the calculated amount of money required for the running of the polling unit.

Have account no 240,001, accessible via app to INEC Chair, ED Finance in HQ and state RECs.

This account will hold a percentage of the total funds as a reserve from which extra funds requested via email can be sent to those polling unit accounts requiring it on the day.

Recommended process will also help with record keeping as the transactions are automatically logged or have a mail trail.

Install the necessary bank apps for the polling unit on the 80,000 PDAs already bought for the election.

Only the REC and his approved representatives (polling unit head) can access said accounts.

As expenses arise, they carry out transactions as we do on a daily basis.

After all, the government has said we should all go cashless.

So why is the same government insisting on spending cash?!!

My people, abeg how una see am?

The competition is open to special units from both police and the military.
Have a look at the events and help me understand how they don't fit in with military SOF:

SWAT challenge.....the name of the game is the biggest clue my brother.

Does DHQ or HQNPF run SWAT type operations in Nigeria?

There you have your answer.

I expected Nigeria to at least send a C-130 to Turkey and assist with ongoing efforts. This is a county that has had close ties and good trade with Nigeria. Turkey has a close relationship with the Nigerian Air Force selling assests, and is one of the countries that has offered to assist with Nigeria's security issues.

Nigerian Air Force should not think they are too small to arrange an airlift of SAR personnel and material. These are the kind of stuff you do and earn the full respect of major countries.

NAF people up here, PLEASE send this up the chain of command.

Let's have even if it's a charter flight on the way to Istanbul on Sunday at the latest.

Nigeria is a big boy and should play the world game accordingly.

A week left till the Dubai SWAT Challenge. A reminder of how the African participants performed in 2022:
1) South Africa - 13;
2) Kenya - 17;
3) Nigeria - 28.
Good luck to all our continental teams this year, especially the new entrants and may the returning ones improve their showing.

Bangladesh and my dear Nigeria, looking at the rankings I can tell it's not an army competition.

Abeg, make we try dey send the right representatives for international program like this. As they are KEY to benchmarking performance against global standards.

SA, Kenya and Brazil have gained more out of this than we have.

Sending DHQ SOF against police SF units?

Haba Nigeria, we can be better.

This video has DSS agents crawling all over the place and shows him the lead detail organising the presidential candidates overall security with even more DSS agents pouring in with the arrival of the vice-presidential candidate all packing and exchanging side-arms. Apparently the protocol is to be handed lethal weapons on the threat and detail site, I would presume with armour piercing rounds. It's a no go area.

The camera captures from the first second the exchange of side-arms between DSS agents and in the end when more dignitaries arrived.

https://www.youtube.com/live/jqAsdYqB9yY?feature=share

If you watched properly, they just disembarked from an aircraft.

Side arms are usually emptied and stored on the flight deck for the duration onboard the aircraft in Nigeria.

Owner holds their ammunition.

Same applies to long guns, but they go into the cargo hold at the foot of the aircraft and are retrieved on the tarmac on arrival.

So I say one of them retrieved all their weapons from the cockpit and was reuniting guns with owners.

I know this as an ex protocol officer working for the FGN

If you're going to relocate abroad, you MUST do court marriage at a Federal Registry.

That's the most accepted proof of marriage for embassies.
