Don't say what you don't know.

Trench coats have been around Nigerian close protection forces, at least since the days of Strike Force under Gen Abacha I am sure.

Another question for the house: since when did the DSS make a downgrade firearm-wise to the AK-47 with fold stocks? I ask because of 2 observations. (1)During MNK's first trial, some DSS agents were armed with AK-47s. (2)In a recent event in Akwa Ibom State, ALL the Governor's counter-assault team members were armed with AK-47 assault rifles with foldstocks concealed in their signature black trench coats. And I mean good ole AKs with basic wooden furniture, no piccantily rails or optics? Why? I thought the DSS got the very best when it comes to assault rifles. But now even the Prison Service has rifles. What's happening?

Oh, and why the black trenchcoats, especially with our hot weather? Dustin powder is expensive o .

Of course the Service has AK47s in armory.

As the most common automatic infantry weapon in the world, it only makes sense to have some, even if just for training and familiarity.

This is just like asking if the USA have AK47s in their numerous armouries.

As for use on DSS operations, I leave it to those who know more to answer you.

I always wondered about the trench coats too, but seeing as the local alternative is Agbada, it's kinda obvious why they chose the coats.

I'm not sure the issue is mainly one of productivity and waste. For the size of your economy, it seems to me that your tax collection is in serious need of repair.

Louder please...........it's sad that Nigerians, and I speak as one, on the giving and receiving end of the tax system don't accept that they are under taxed and under managing received taxes respectively.

This is the result of a long term trust erosion between the two, that only an honest and sincere government can fix.

Rant over.

I know people from our establishments are here.

Please, can we adopt this model of procurement and reduce the cost of arms.

This will also reduce unemployment while simplifying and modernising our assault weapon stocks

General LEO Irabor, e be like say na under your watch Nigerians go really understand the use of DHQ.

Relentless pressure ops like this can only happen with a properly coordinated tri service, as our military is stuctured.

DHQ don turn ISWAP Amir to death license.

Shout out to our service chiefs for cooperating as well.

It was reported that ISWAP constructed about 2000 boats for the purpose of fishing and patrolling those waters, the vast majority of those fishing in the lake Chad Islands are ISWAP members or at least work for the terror organization. The government has banned fishing in that part of the state and anyone still fishing in the lake is committing an offense. Government has every right to enforce the ban. There are other towns where such activities are allowed for example baga town.

And then the attacks does not necessarily have to be on humans, the airforce could go after the boats being used for such activities during the hours they are not being used and are beached or moored

Agreed

I thought maybe use of 'palisade fences' might work out for the whole stretch of the tracks with CCTV at intermittent positions assuming electricity wasn't a problem.

Or if this is going to keep becoming a security issue, time to go for TBMs and start doing the tracks underground.

Even worse security wise.

It's a nightmare to defend a tunnel in advanced nations, never mind in this our wahala.

It would be unfair to question the current set IMO.

Rather a Board of Inquiry into the administration of our longest serving service chiefs i.e the immediate past set should be looked into.

Why not just reactivate our Bo-105s stored at PHC for this purpose and attach airframes to special ops units (army or NAF) for insertions during their operations? It beats purchasing new MH-6s. My opinion though.

Romance / Re: Have You Ever Cried And Begged For A Relationship As A Man? by DaddyGoo: 7:21am On Oct 05, 2021
Jman06:
Did that in 2017. A girl worked her way into my heart, had me fall helplessly in love with her,not knowing she was already planning marriage with another guy. This is a girl I never offended to the best of my knowledge.

When I finally got winds of what she was up to, I was completely devastated. I cried, knelt and begged for offences I never committed, but she had it all planned out to punish me for no just cause.

I finally let go, but I placed a curse on her and that curse is taking effect right now in her marriage. Yes, I cursed her because I didn't wrong her in any way and what she did was deliberate. Despite all the love I and my family showed to her and her family, she treated me like though I was her sworn enemy.

With that experience, my heart is now hardened and I'm very sure I'll never stoop that low to any lady ever again in my life.

You just told my story finish, difference is that mine happened as NYSC was ending in 2015 and the witch travelled from my house to collect his ring in Ibadan!

I even carry am to park as per loving bobo embarassed embarassed embarassed

Last month the girl, abi na woman now she don born pikin, still called talking about missing me and all that shite.

Missing me wey turn high level heartkiller after that experience, until meeting my wife made me repent.

Miss those days fire you dia, werey wey dey disguise!

God knows I wounded some good ladies and I feel bad about it now, and still pray for them to forgive a brother.

My man, don't let this girl make you miss a good woman by changing your character for negativity.

I nearly missed my wife because of my own Jezebel.

All in all, shame to bad people, male or female, that can alter others' character by their selfish actions!!

Can everyone in Europe afford to be flown in a helicopter?

The point is burn victims survive and recover in Nigeria. It is not only by being flown in a helicopter.

Even in the USA where healthcare is paid for, they don't check your status before deploying whatever equipment is needed to save the life.

So, yes, EVERYBODY can afford it, as it is their right!

So what was the rationale for taking a Naval base to his home state that is the crux of my query, Buratai took a university to his village despite the insecurity in Borno, AVM Sadique built a NAF hospital in his home state, Ihejirika did something similar, now the current CNS despite the fact that their is a similar training base in Kaduna by the same service, tomorrow Amao and current COAS may toe same path & in your mind we shouldn't ask about the reason behind those choices whether it is strategic or purely emotional. Tomorrow someone will wake up and decide to build a military facility in Niger republic & we all he expected not to ask for explanations; even the US and the UK that have the best navies in the world have their Naval bases in their Continental shelves. Ethiopia used to have a navy but had to shut down that arm of service when Eritrea broke out of the country.
