Celebrities / Re: COZA Pastor: Kemi Adetiba Educates Nigerians On How Rape Victims Behave by DaddySpyce(m): 10:25am On Jun 29, 2019

And not one of the over 30 victims could scream, fight or go to the police. This is more than just coincidence. This morally bankrupt celebrities without integrity think we all are fools. If you were not overpowered, held at gun point or drugged then forcefully penetrated, then that is no rape period!

They don't think we are all fools, but they actually know fools like you exist that is why they are standing firm for the truth to come out. It's only a fool that will reason exactly the way you just did and it shows very clear in everything you just wrote here.

Nonsense and gibberish, if a person tries to rape you and you can't scream or fight such person without been threatened with a weapon then it is obvious you wanted it except you were drugged.

Stop talking like a baby. Pray it never happens to someone close to you. Think deep about it, how would you have expected a young girl to react to a pastor she and her family looked up to? Do you think rape is always about serious force and probably body harm? Do you really know the meaning of oppression or intimidation?

I think it's time for the Nigerian criminal investigation department to start operating the lie detector test. With good experts to handle this, the truth will definitely come out.

Foreign Affairs / Amhara Party Not Happy With The Arrests Made In Ethiopia by DaddySpyce(m): 6:53am On Jun 29, 2019
Ethiopia’s security agencies on Thursday arrested dozens of suspects who are thought ton have played a role in a botched coup in northern Amhara state and the murder of the army chief in the capital Addis Ababa.

The weekend attacks have heaped pressure on Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, already facing waves of ethnic violence which have displaced over two million people, as he pushes forward with democratic and economic reforms.

Spotlight on NaMA party

An ethno-nationalist party in Amhara, one of several political groupings gaining ground as political space opens up, said more than 56 of its members and supporters had been arrested.

The Ethiopian government is reverting to its old practices of persecuting peaceful people as an excuse for its internal strife.

“In Addis Ababa alone, 56 of our members and sympathisers have been arrested while dozens other NaMA (National Amhara Movement) sympathisers and members in Oromia have also been arrested,” said party spokesman Christian Tadele.

“The campaign of arrests against NaMa members and sympathisers isn’t just directed against a party, but is also an identity-based attack,” Christian told AFP.

The National Amhara Movement was formed around a year ago as a hardline ethno-nationalist challenger to the Amhara Democratic Party (ADP) — one of the four alliance members in the national ruling party, the EPRDF.

“It is pressing territorial claims on neighbouring Tigray region and asserting that it would stop the ‘persecution’ of Amharas living outside Amhara state,” the International Crisis Group (ICG) said of the party.

The history of Amhara, which has provided Ethiopia with its national language, is a source of pride for many who belong to the country’s second largest ethnic group.

Some there resent the fact the previous federal government was dominated by Tigrayans who make up about 6% of the population – and now the prime minister is an Oromo. Border disputes simmer with neighbouring Oromia and Tigray.

Asaminew Tsige’s ethnic rhetoric

The security chief, Asaminew Tsige, who is accused of orchestrating the two attacks at the weekend, was seen as being appointed to his post in the ADP to appeal to the more hardline residents of the region.

In 2018 he was released from almost a decade in prison over a 2009 coup plot.

He espoused similar views to the NaMa, observers say, and was likely facing dismissal over his fiery rhetoric and efforts to form militia.

Asaminew, who was shot dead on Monday while on the run, is also believed to have co-ordinated the assassination of army chief Seare Mekonnen who was shot dead by his bodyguard on Saturday night.

More attacks

Meanwhile, details emerged Thursday of a bloody attack in neighbouring Benishangul Gumuz state at the hands of what local officials believe are men trained by Asaminew.

Abera Bayeta, head of Benishangul Gumuz regional state peace and security bureau, told AFP that around 100 heavily-armed men had attacked a village at dawn on Monday, “killing more than 50 civilians most of them women and children.”

AFP could not independently verify his claim.

Abera said the perpetrators of Monday’s attack managed to escape, but that 85 others believed to be planning a similar assault were arrested on Thursday.

“We believe the Monday attackers and the 85 armed men we apprehended were both trained by Asaminew Tsige, with the aim to eventually attack neighbouring communities” he said.

Dozens of people have been killed in recent months in clashes between residents of northern Benishangul Gumuz and Amhara states, one of the many hotspots in the country pitting communities against each other, often over land and resources.

Will Abiy’s reforms survive?

Elias Gebru, a civil society activist based in Addis Ababa, said three of his colleagues had been arrested and appeared in court Tuesday on accusations they assisted in the coup bid.

“The Ethiopian government is reverting to its old practices of persecuting peaceful people as an excuse for its internal strife,” said the activist.

The ethnic violence is seen as a backlash to Abiy’s efforts to lead democratic reforms in Africa’s second-most populous nation.

Observers say the prime minister’s breakneck reforms have severely weakened the unity of the once all-powerful EPRDF.

“The world out there wanted to believe the fairy tale. They became obsessed with their own narrative,” said Tamrat Giorgis, the managing editor of the Addis Fortune, a privately-owned English-language newspaper. “But that doesn’t chime with what is happening on the ground. It is much more complex and scary.”

His loosening of the reins in the long-authoritarian state has stirred up ethno-nationalist sentiment in Ethiopia’s nine autonomous regions, which are divided along ethnic lines, and fuelled jockeying for power ahead of 2020 elections.

“Abiy’s reforms removed the lid on many accumulated grievances,” said Rashid Abdi, an independent Horn of Africa analyst. “Making the transition to a more open society is always dangerous.”

Internet services were partially restored across Ethiopia on Thursday after a near-total blackout for the past five days.

Crime / Re: Yahoo Girl Bags 8-Month Jail Sentence (Photo) by DaddySpyce(m): 10:42pm On Jun 28, 2019
kallmemrB:
How come people that pleaded guilty are getting 8months but the stubborn ones with not guilty but later found guilty are getting lesser ones

That is the way the law works every where in the world not just Nigeria. When you plead guilty, you end up getting a lighter sentence depending on your offence. It's more like you acknowledge you did wrong and you are willing to change from it. But when you know you really committed a crime and plead not guilty, you give the lawyers more stress by trying to proof your case beyond reasonable doubt, so when they go the length doing that and find you guilty, you have to get the full punishment for your act without any sentiment.

Amidst sundry crises and contradiction. To be very objective and impersonal i feel it's rather to late to explode this, it begs to question the authencity of the claim rather will it be so wrong to jump to conclusion that what happened never existed. Conclusion in this case is disastrous. i will have to blame dakolo's wife 4 waiting this long to spill out this. On the other hand i considered it a non-issue but considering several other accusations the PASTOR is been alleged of. It seeks the avenue to clinically investigate the so called MOG and be prosecuted if found quilty. The dreaded mentality of touch not my annointed should be outstripped. What happens to high profiled public personalities like RONALDo, Neymar, Bill clinton, Rkelly in Europe is huge enough in itself that to send a signal to Africa that there is no get-away under whatever privileges for anybody at all who twisted the the arm of the law
Either Pastor or not, once u break the law, you face the wrath of such. It pleases GOD and man even

It might seem like its too late to have come out now, but just wait and see. She might not have taken this decision just to get personal justice for herself, but watch and see how many ladies she must have motivated who will take that bold step to speak up and come out with even more shocking evidences that will go a long way.

We Nigerians always find it very difficult to think deep into certain issues especially when it doesn't affect us directly, but we also pray not to be in the shoes of certain people that take a bold step to speak up.

Imagine it was your own sister that had this experience and out of fear she never said anything for a long time but only got the courage to do so recently, will your view still be this same thing you just wrote? Are you going to advise just exactly the same way you have written?

Even the so called educated are talking like an illiterate. How do you expect to send someone to jail for an offense without a verified evidence... she has no evidence to prove and besides at 18 I think she wasn’t a small girl that she couldn’t let it out to her parents when it was ripe.she has only succeeded in embarrassing herself and her Oga dankolo. And for the pastor if truly u did it, your prick de for devil hand.

Maybe you should at least reason as an educated person as well. Do you really think it took this long for her to be bold enough to come out and speak up if they had not also taken time to put together some sufficient evidence that will go a long way? Do you think they were not expecting that the issue would get to court once it comes out and the accused will definitely fight for his owe right and defamation of character in sure a criminal accusation?

Don't think one sided and talk like a reasonable person looking at things from two proper directions before you just explode and insult people calling them illiterates when you actually make you comment sound like that which an illiterate will write.

Romance / Guys Will You Still Date A Lady In This Situation? by DaddySpyce(m): 4:04pm On Jun 28, 2019
You met this beautiful girl on facebook or a social media platform and somehow you added her as a friend and she accepted. Later you send her a message and she also responds politely so from there you both get to chat from time to time.

As time went by you both became good friends, chatting everyday on whatsapp and somehow that connection seem to be there and then you both fix a date to meet and finally get to see each other for the very first time. Based on how close you both already are from all your chats, you plan to officially ask her to be your girlfriend and you are looking forward to building a good relationship with her that will lead to marriage.

However, on the day of outing, you both had a completely great time and everything seemed so perfect for two of you but then she had something very important she wanted to tell you and when you asked what it was, she says she is 4 months pregnant for her ex and her ex abandoned her with the pregnancy and ran away. Now she is left all by herself to take care of the baby when she gives birth.

Would you continue with the relationship with her knowing she is carry the baby on another man already?

Family / Re: My Wife's Ex Wants Her Back by DaddySpyce(m): 9:27am On Jun 26, 2019
For those of you saying he should not call the man, you all are quite wrong. Being that your wife already told you the situation means she is not comfortable with it and she doesn't want him anymore. I think it's best for you to speak with the man maturedly and remind him that you are now married to her and she has a baby for you. Make him understand that he is disrespecting you by calling her in her matrimonial home and you don't let that so he should accept the fact that she is now happily married and move on.
If you do this and find out that he is not matured enough to stop calling your wife then you can have your wife change her number and ensure he has no access to reach her anymore. If for any reason he knows your home and mistakenly dares to visit your home because he wants to see your wife then I think that is really out of order and he could be arrested for such an act being that you have spoken to him maturely.
