in a 4-2-3-1; Bale, Rooney, di Maria, Falcao can all start with Mata/van Persie on the bench & everyone gets his favorite position. the attack is dynamic - a team/manager with ambitions can't complain.

Bale joined Madrid for £77-85m a little over a year ago, signing a 6 year contract. He is just 25.

Even at 70m, we don't need a winger that costs that much.

Wether we like it or not, there is a certain amount that will be earmarked for the aquisition of players. Logic dictates that the money should be spend appropriately and wisely.

I reiterate; Both have to be considered. We are looking to slash our wage bill so as to accommodate the right players in positions where we just to to fill. Why on earth should we think of adding another potential 250k/week(if we are to offer him a 4 year contract, that's a whopping 48m in wages) luxurious signing that can be done without at the moment?

If you say Moyes' Everton team was built around Baines, then you were right. Even then, Everton has no midfield through which a game flows, the team was all about Baines punting long ball for Fellaini to chest down. That's not a flow 'cos any player can do that.
Also, building a team around a player doesn't mean that player is the playmaker, e.g Xavi is the playmaker for the Barca team but the team is built around Messi.

Hmmm. Oh well, without prejudice to Primate's performance in the examination, 40.xx for the highly-competitive MBA is kinda low. The best thing to do is for him to activate his contacts in the school asap (if he has any). They might be able to squeeze him into the supplementary list.

I expect him to have started doing that. The fact that he crossed the 40% hurdle is worthy of having some faith and belief ( no matter how small).

The only difference is that, even without strike, There would always be that uncertainty as regards finishing a program there at the right time... even for a brilliant student.

It isn't as if I am trying to run down the school or something (it's arguably the best school in the country in terms of quality of graduates, certificate rating and stuffs), but in situations like this, one has to factor certain things into consideration before taking a decision.

Failure to secure admission could be very disappointing and the tendency for one to seek an immediate solution is perfectly normal, but I'd advise primate 2 to weigh his options properly, especially when provided with some useful information.
