I think it was a good performance by the lads. Smalling's f00lishness obviously swung the game in city's favour.

The worrisome aspect is that di Maria (who has been our driving force in attack) seems to have been infected by some kinda bad luck - dude has been piss-poor in the last two matches.

As for januzaj, I'd pick the mediocre Ashely young over him for now.

I know he has missed many chances, but you also have to credit him with his movements and positioning which earn him the chances the first place. A bit more of composure and luck with the final ball, he will score goals.

Remember, he has 1 goal and 2 assists. It's just the beginning.

The transfer fee/ wage bill is the issue here. If Monaco are willing to collect 20-25m with the player ready to accept a pay cut to the tune of 150k-160k per week, why not?

I get you but it's better we are the team having Falcao than allowing him to go boost other big clubs. The defence will be sorted out latest next summer. The guys at the back might just strike a balance before then.

How many clubs out there are willing to pay such a ridiculous amount for a 38 28 year old who has been off form for the past 15months? From all indications, falcao may never be the player he once was, so why should we be the mugus to offer him a permanent escape route with such transfer fees and astronomical wages?

you have forgotten Januzaj created a clear-cut chance which van Persie missed. he was clearly a menace to big nyash all through the period he was up against him. he had an intelligent run through the middle but miss-hit his shot. there's enough room for improvement but these are ruffled edges the coaching crew does their job.
you guys don't know that it isn't so easy for young attacking players coming through the ranks in a team like Manchester United. the pressure is immense, they must take every 3-minute cameo they make to exert a positive influence. it is easier for coaches to be patient with a 30-million pound signing than a young rookie. i came across a post of someone even asking what Wilson came in to do. i mean, who talks like that . after Chelsea's goal took the wind out of our sails, it was very obvious we needed an extra man to press in front.

i'm not obsessed with nothing, i look @ players with the ability to make it here. Januzaj has been given his second 90' & you will just lie to yourself if you say there's no improvement from last week, against a better team by the way. Wilson was given opportunities by Giggs, van Gaal has come in & sent out Hernandez, sold Welbeck as well, so he sees something there too. if he can't get games with all the senior strikers unavailable, then how will his skills be polished?
i see their potential & obviously the coaching crew sees it too #now that's all that matters

The problem isn't from shaw's side. It's Rafael that appears to be struggling to keep up with hazard's pace and trickery.
