wonder why da doctor is running up and down on this thread given the fact that he shamelessly chases different women here at regular intervals, but still claims he has a wife someplace?

yet his fingers are typing faster than a woman's mouth.

@tpia, I am sure you have issue as per comprehension.
I never said i presently have. I SAID BACK THEN WHEN I WAS DATING! Off course i dated some yoruba ladies.
My tots arent stuck to just my personal experience. MY INLAWS ARE YORUBAS TOO, And i have Corporate yorubas as tenants.
But be it as it may. Get it clear that It isnt in the character of all tribes to indulge in extra marital affairs. This is my issue with the yorubas.
When one decides to marry ,he has taken up a vow befor man and God especially to be faithfully in its entirety. Yes i am into the academia, but despite the odds i stand firm because my wufe looks as new as ever to me.
Now that is the point of deviation of the yoruba tribe. Other tribes may indulge in same but that of the yoruba is so so so alarming and i think it is because you claim you dont like abortion. But do your parents teach you to make casual sex too? Now when the gal is preganant you arrange an introduction and the child comes into the world. then both parents can assume it was a forced marriage/not a choicy one? and as such indulge in trashes.

Yes i am IBO. And i can satnd head high to say that OUR CULTURE AS PER MARRAIGE AND ITS DULY DESERVED RESPECT DIFFERS FROM THAT OF THE YORUBAS who can do anything while in marraige, Young and old, eduacted and illitertate, male and female, I HAVE SEEN THEM ALL mess around like some randy he/she goats.

You are entitled to your view anyway. But the truth still stands firm

NOTE THAT MY CLAIM ISNT THAT ALL OF THE YORUBAS BEHAVE AS SUCH, BUT most. a GREATER PERCENTAGE OF THEM. i HAVE LIVED AMONGST THEM FOR MORE THAN 30YEARS SO MY DEAR I HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF THEM. yOU CANT TAKE THAT AWAY.

TO ME, HAVING EXTRA MARITAL AFFAIRS ISNT AN ISSUE IN THE YORUBA CULTURE, SINCE THEY PREACH PREGNANCY BEFORE MARRIAGE.

Raise  a thread about IBO ladies anyday as to any of their peculairity like escessive love for money bla bla bla and i would be bold to give a nod.

But when we talk marriage and its values i dare SAY THE YORUBAS ARENT WOTH IT ONE BIT.

I was once in doubt as to the preganancy before marriage issue and some said it was mainly the uneducated, but lo and behold  i was best man to 2 different yoruba guys back then and to my dismay, their wives were heavy. and when i questioned, my guy said his family insisted as a test of the gals fertility. CAN U BEAT THAT. FROM AN MSC HOLDER?

the rate and frequency is pretty much the same. i have got tonnes of mates in nigeria who went for nysc and shagged married women there. the rate of infidelity was pretty much the same ish among the tribes there. igbo, hausa, efik, calabar, edo, delta, middle-belt. all their women were there and they were all having the "fun" of their lives.

of course, it's not about convincing me and you have the freedom of speech but please. . . .don't abuse the privilege.
you cannot misinform the army of bloggers reading this forum right now in the name of your hidden agenda against the yorubas.

that to me is the seed of civilization. marriage isn't slavery.
if i marry my daughter out to a wife-beater, i have the right to go back there and take my daughter from him before he kills her.
if other tribes don't value their daughters in the name of archaic traditions, the yorubas do! it has nothing to do to promiscuity in marriage.

i am not interested to know or learn anything further. i probably know more than you do about nigerians.
and after extensive research, i came to the conclusion that nigerians are the same everywhere. north, east, south, north and even the ones in hell are the same all over. no tribe is more promiscuous, no tribe is more violent.

same as the army of youths in igboland, hausa, niger-delta etc.
all a nigerian man/woman want is faji/enjoyment - it is not set in stone that others don't enjoy. you are probably saying this because you were raised in a yorubaland. you would have experienced the same thing in any igbo community or hausa community.

your inductive/deductive approaches are a bit myopic. if you had worked harder, you would have arrived at the fact that nigerians are the same no matter what. just like there's infidelity in the south-west so it is in the north, south, east and other regions of the country. to actually say only yoruba people are promiscuous is a felonious statement when igbo states, niger-delta, calabar, edo/delta are still at large.

they hide their dealings from you now means what? that you have philandeing in-laws means squat! i know a truckload of igbo armed robbers, does that make every male from the east a potential armed robber? for bleeps' sake, your deductive approach is shallow and your sample size is too small to form any objective opinion. nigerians love "enjoyment", nigerians love sex.

ALL IN ALL I DONT DISAGREE WITH YOU. BUT WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT IS RATE AND FREQUENCY. WHAT PERCENT OF THE IBOS ,YORUBAS AND HAUSA'S DO EACH OF THE ABOVE STATED. FIND OUT AND DRAW YOUR CONCLUSION.

I AM NOT TYPING TO CONVINCE YOU OR ANY ONE. BUT ITS MY EXPERIENCES I SHARE. THEY ARE FOR REAL.

ESPECIALLY IN ARRIAGE. THE YORUBAS ARENT WORTH THE STRESS, LITTLE WONDER THEY CLAIM TO RETURN BRIDE PRICE SO U DONT SUBJECT THEIR DOTA TO PAINS.

LETS END THE DISCUSSION. IF U ARE INTEREST TO KNOW THE TRUTH OPEN ANODA UNBIASED OPINION THREAD BECAUSE I BELIEVE YOU REALLY WANA LEARN.

THOSE I DEALT WITH WERE OK. AND IT HAS TO DO WITH BACKGROUND. The rich and average ones are okay if you may ask me(Just as expected from other tribes too).

But those poor ones roam around the street back in the late 80's in pants, though this may be a general thing(hygiene state not the pant. iyt was exclusive to the yorubas, as THEY THROW BASH EVEN WHEN THEIR CHILDREN WEAR PANTS ALL AROUND THEN)

I ONCE LIVE IN SURULERE IN THE 80's, late 80 nad early 90 OUR lg CHAIRMAN USUALLY BLOCKED THE STREET IN PARTYYING BUT HIS CHILDEREN WEAR PANTIES OUT NEXT DAY AND CARRYING PLATES TO IYA OLONJE WITH THE OLD 5 NAIRA NOTES OR SO DISTRUBUUTED EACH MORNING.

All the yoruba females(family & friends) I know from the US, Nigeria, & The UK are in respectable marriages with yoruba men and are happy. I am currently going out with a yoruba man. So all you are saying is CRAP

YES THOSE MAY BE THE FEW. IF REALLY THEY ARE HAPPY. COS IN MARRIAGE YOU JUST HAVE TO BEAR THE CROSS AN PRAY ALONG. MY POSTS REFER TO THE MOST AS PERTAIN TO THE YORUBA POPULACE.

so you formed this opinion based on the few sluts you were able to attract in your days?
i mean, the fact that i have slept with 20 igbo babes mean igbo women in general are promiscuous?

how did you guys graduate from any citadel of learning?

20 chics out of 40 million yoruba women and this is what you have to say about them?

Oga i am not in a debate with you. or trying to convince you. you know that all a yoruba woman/man wants if 'FAJI'/'ENJOYMENT'

Born breed and buttered here . i am no longer a stranger but a citizen. i speak yoruba like mad. i left yoruba due to my work just for few years and now have been here cos i lecture in the SW schools too.

All i tell you is reality. In our quest for knowledge we may apply inductive or deductive approaches, i have applied both and arrived at the fact that YOU ALL ARE SAME NO MATA WAT.

Mind you, i have lots of yoruba inlaws, they married early enough and today i kep advising them to stick to their wives alone and leave little smelling ladies. Atleast they werent forced into marriage. Most run away from Doc or hide their dealings for the fear of my cahstisement. THE WORST IS THAT THEY SEE IT AS NOTHING, THEY SEE IT AS A 'NORMAL' THING TO HAVE AN 'OMOGE' as they put it. these are educated lads.

You are a lair, and the reason I say this is because this thread has nothing to do with anything you are bringing up and never asked for anybodies opinions besides Yoruba women. So That gives me the conclusion that You were here for one purpose to trash yoruba women

All the yoruba men in my family and around me are with Yoruba women and are happy; and never heard any of the ridiculous trash you are making up. So you have another thing coming if you think I will believe your garbage.

For you to say you have yoruba inlaws all the time makes me know your are not Yoruba at all & I don't believe anything you are saying

The first point of truth is the conscience. i sure know u know the truth.

NOW I HAVE THEM AS TENANT. Initially i opted for single male and later allowed for just married all with a corporate background cos i live in the house too especially when i am off duty call.

you cant believe that thissingle guys comes home each friday late and with different ladies. i mean every week oh. he is gonna quit soon though.
the newly married would even bring in sorts of ladies cos the wife is a banker all in the name of sister, but truly i see no resemblance, but just have to wait till their dues expire by year end.
THESE PEOPLE CANT CHANGE, EDUCATED OR NOT, MARRIED OR NOT, CHRISTIAN OR NOT.

ITS IN THEM. REALLY.

They have to leave before they corrupt my children especially my gals

Truly. wat you read is how it is.

if you are in naija just walk around or be involved in a rel wit a yoruba lady making conscious effort to study their traits then confirm same as true.

When i was dating a yoruba lady, immediately i arrived their house the parents says' OKO RE TI DE O ZZZZZZZZ'

and when i am in they at times ask her to take me to her room or at times they ask her if she wont follow me home over the weeknd. this family mind you is very rich. a former COMM OF POLICE IN OLD LAGOS.

SEvery culture has its short coming, this is one for the yorubas. a yoruba woman get married even when she has 2 children from different men at home, but in Ibo land it wouldnt be too easy a thing.

infact i just rest my case.

i tell you that guys may not be 100 percent correct but HE MADE AN 'A'.

Yorubas have no true value for marriage and matrimony ,just a few godly ones do.

GO TO DSTV and watch their movies, do same for hausa and ibo movies on sundays then you wud be cleared that their cultural representation as per marriage centres around betrayal, lustful possession, clubbing and immoral actts includint extra marital affairs as its climax. then you wud agree he made a n 'A'. the truth may be had to admit, but the BOLD HEARTED WOULD, FOR THE SAKE OF CHANGE AND POSTERITY.

Personally, i can give you a list of yoruba ladies seeking cuts from me even when they know i am in marriage for yearsssss.

Now i am not saying it isnt there in other tribes, but the proportion is highest in yoruba.
