PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 10/08/2025 OH GIVE THANKS TO OUR GOD Bible Text: Psalm 106:1-2 (NKJV) 1 Praise the LORD! Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can declare all His praise? Today I want you to create quality time to praise and thank our God. Many a time we only focus on bombarding Him with our unending requests. Thank Him because it is of God's mercies you are not consumed (Lamentations 3:22). Thank the God who satisfies your mouth with good things (Psalm 103:5). Thank the God who saved you from your enemies (Psalm 44:7). Thank the God who makes ways in the wilderness of life and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:19). We can go on and on. I pray for you today that the Almighty God continues with His awesome works in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Incomparable God: Father, I thank you for your innumerable works in my life in the mighty name Jesus'. May The only True God accept your thanksgiving in Jesus' name. Wishing you a blessed weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 08/08/2025 BENEFICIARIES OF GOD'S MERCIES Bible Text: Psalm 103:11 (NKJV) 11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; Yesterday, I drew your attention to the fact that God's mercy never ends. I also stated that enjoying God's mercy is a matter of choice. Today, I would love to approach the unending mercies of God from another perspective. The Bible reading for today tells us that God's mercy is great towards those who fear Him. This Bible text exposes us to the truth that those who fear God have unhindered access to His mercy. Psalm 103:17 says: "But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children's children." Deducing from the scripture above, those who fear God enjoy His unending mercies. Beloved, do you fear God. Are you genuinely born again? If your answer to the questions above is YES, then you are qualified to enjoy His unending mercies. I pray for you today that nothing shall take you outside the mercy of God in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to The God whose mercies never ends: Father, I want to enjoy your unending mercies, please plant your fear in me in Jesus' name. May The Everloving God grant answers to your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS TODAY 07/08/2025 THE UNENDING MERCY OF GOD Bible Text: Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) 22 Through the LORD's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. The Bible text for today tells us that we are preserved by the mercies of God and that His compassion never fails. We are also told that God's mercy and compassion are renewed every morning. In other words His mercy never comes to an end. There are many scriptures that testify that the mercy of God endures forever. By implication it means we have the privilege or opportunity to enjoy God's mercy and compassion on a daily basis. We can also infer that God's mercy if accessed, can open new chapters in our lives on a daily basis. However, access to God's mercy is a matter of choice. The Bible in Hebrews 4:16 says: Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Access to the throne of grace is through the redemptive work of our Lord Jesus Christ. If you are yet to receive Jesus Christ into your life, you may be denying yourself access to this throne of grace. I urge you strongly to give Jesus a chance in your life today. You will never regret doing so. I pray for you today that God never withdraws His mercy from you in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to The Compassionate God: Father, please be gracious upon me, cause your face to shine on me and make me a beneficiary of your unending mercies in Jesus' name. May The All-merciful God grant answer your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a victorious day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS TODAY 06/08/2025 NEW DAWN (VI) Bible Text: Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. As I rap up this series today my focus will be on the second part of the anchor scripture. The Almighty God spoke thus: "I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:19b)." A critical look at the scripture above reveals to us that God can use a New Beginning to birth a great transformation in an individual's life. A transformational change that addresses hopeless situations and tackles areas of dryness as well as fruitlessness in a man's life. In this new season, God puts an end to labouring with nothing to show for it. Retrogression or stagnation is terminated. Limitations and barriers give way. Accelerated progress becomes the order of the day. Are you tired of your present state of hopelessness? Cry to God for a new beginning now. I pray for you today that God addresses every state of hopelessness in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to Unchangeable Changer: Father, please let the time of my refreshing come in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Great transformer answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's favour today in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS TODAY 05/08/2025 NEW DAWN (V) Bible Text: Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. Over the past four days I have focussed on Isaiah 43:19. Yesterday I stated that it takes divine revelation and spiritual alertness to decode what God is set to do at any point in time. However, I have also discovered that divine revelation and spiritual alertness is not enough to be a partaker of the benefits of new beginnings. Taking requisite action in response to divine revelation or promptings of the Holy Spirit is what is needed. Let us review the story of the sons of the prophet and Elisha when Elijah was about to be taken up to Heaven (2nd Kings 2:1-15). The sons of the prophet and Elisha were aware of Elijah's impending departure. Their awareness may be connected to divine revelation or spiritual alertness. Surprisingly, only one person (Elisha) took the requisite action for tapping into the wealth of Elijah's anointing. Beloved, to enjoy the benefits of new beginnings, beyond the awareness of God's move; you must be willing to take action. I pray for you today that God gives you the grace to take the actions needed to partake in spiritual blessings in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Most High: Father, please give me the grace to act fittingly with divine information in Jesus' name. May The Great I AM answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's goodness today in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS TODAY 04/08/2025 NEW DAWN (IV) Bible Text: Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. Yesterday, I stated that your disposition towards the move of God at any particular point of time (new beginnings) determines to a large extent whether you will be a PARTAKER or SPECTATOR. I must also let you know that you can only position yourself for what you are aware of. I strongly believe that responding appropriately to God's moves is borne out of divine revelation or high level of sensitivity in the spirit which aids our ability to discern what God intends to do at specific points of time. When you have divine revelation or the ability to discern, it helps you to align or position yourself in the best way possible to benefit from what God is set to do (Habakkuk 2:2). Your level of intimacy with God plays a vital role when it comes to divine revelations or ability to discern. How intimate are you with God? If need be, make adjustments in your fellowship with God today. I pray for you today that God destroys everything working against your intimacy with God in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the El Roi: Father, please do not keep me in the dark concerning your move at any specific point in time in Jesus' name. May The Father of lights answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a blessed week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS TODAY 03/08/2025 NEW DAWN (III) Bible Text: Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. When God causes a new beginning to spring forth, how you position yourself or react matters. Your disposition towards the move of God at that particular time determines to a large extent whether you will be a PARTAKER or SPECTATOR. Our anchor scripture talks about God doing a new thing and that it shall spring forth. However, it poses a question: "Shall you not know it?" This question implies that God expects specific reactions or responses to His move. Our failure to align as expected with His move may lead to us missing the benefits of the new beginning. For example, let us consider the disposition of the sons of the prophets and that of Elisha when Elijah was about to be taken up to Heaven (2nd Kings 2:1-15. The sons of the prophet and Elisha knew what was about to happen but the responses of the sons of the prophet to the information differed from that of Elisha. While Elisha focussed on getting double portion of Elijah's spirit (2nd Kings 2:9), the sons of the prophet chose to be spectators. Beloved, God is about to do something new in your life. Don't be a SPECTATOR. I pray for you today that you will not miss your divine opportunities in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Almighty God: Father, please give me the grace to respond appropriately to your move in my life in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Unchangeable Changer answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a day full of joy in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 02/08/2025 NEW DAWN (II) Bible Text: Psalm 113:7-9 (NKJV) 7 He raises the poor out of the dust, And lifts the needy out of the ash heap, 8 That He may seat him with princes-- With the princes of His people. 9 He grants the barren woman a home, Like a joyful mother of children. Praise the LORD! Yesterday, I stated that God is the author of new beginnings. Our Bible text for today reveals to us that God can change the economic status as well as the sphere of influence of a man. It also states that God has the capacity to make the barren fruitful. This means that God can move a man from the state of lack to abundance or move a man from abject poverty to financial independence. He can also put an end to the weeping of the barren by blessing her with children. The scenario above depicts what God did in the life of Mephibosheth and Hannah respectively. Two of them experienced a new beginning of pleasantness. Your state of unpleasantness may not be similar to that of Mephibosheth and Hannah. One thing I am sure of is the truth that what He did for Mephibosheth and Hannah, He can do for you also. He can grant you a new beginning. I pray for you today that God terminates the season of unpleasantness in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Only True Omega: Father, please give me a new beginning of glory in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Reliable God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy a stress free day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 01/08/2025 NEW DAWN (I) Bible Text: Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. God Is the Author of New Beginnings. He specializes in orchestrating or birthing new beginnings as seen in our anchor scripture for today. God can give us new beginnings in all areas of life. A new beginning may commence with a new dawn. God's word in Psalm 30:5 says: "For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." From the scripture above, a new dawn of joy succeeds a night of weeping. A new dawn signifies the termination of an old era characterized by poverty, sickness, affliction, oppression etc. It is the commencement of a new chapter or season of pleasantness in life. After the Passover experience in Egypt, God put an end to the Israelites' years of slavery in one night. The morning that followed that particular night came with a new dawn of freedom. In what area of life do you desire a new beginning? With faith in God your new dawn can emerge. I pray for you today that God opens a new chapter of pleasantness for you in life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Alpha and Omega: Father, please give me a new beginning of great transformation in my life in the mighty name of Jesus. May The God that never fails answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 31/07/2025 SHOCKER FOR MOCKERS (IV) Bible Text: 1st Samuel 17:44-45 (NKJV) 44 And the Philistine said to David, "Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!" 45 Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. When young David stepped up to the challenge of Goliath, the giant taunted him. 1st Samuel 17:42-43 gives the account thus: 42 And when the Philistine looked about and saw David, he disdained him; for he was only a youth, ruddy and good-looking. 43 So the Philistine said to David, "Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?" And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. Looking at the age and size of David, Goliath felt he was no match for him and thought it will be a walk over. However, at the end of the contest, Goliath got smitten by David. God gave David victory. The highly experienced warrior suffered defeat in the hands of a small boy. The one who boasted and taunted eventually bowed to God's supremacy in the life of David. Beloved as long as you are a true child of God, anyone taunting or mocking you will be brought low. If they fail to repent, they may end up like Goliath. I pray for you today that every mocker bows to God's supremacy in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Lord of hosts: Father, let my mockers be brought low by your mighty power in Jesus' name. May The All-powerful God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 30/07/2025 SHOCKER FOR MOCKERS (III) Bible Text: Nehemiah 6:15-16 (NKJV) 15 So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days. 16 And it happened, when all our enemies heard of it, and all the nations around us saw these things, that they were very disheartened in their own eyes; for they perceived that this work was done by our God. Nehemiah was a man who returned to Jerusalem with the burden and the mandate to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. He faced diverse opposition and mockery from Samballat, Tobias and others within and outside Jerusalem while rebuilding the walls. However, as we can see from today's Bible text, the Almighty God made the conspiracy against Nehemiah to fail. He disappointed the mockers of Nehemiah and his works. Eventually the wall building project was completed and all mockers were silenced. Beloved, has God committed any assignment or project into your hands and men are mocking you? Is there any specific challenge in your life that is making men to mock you? The God that disappointed the counsel of Nehemiah's mockers is till alive today. All your mockers will be silenced through the awesome manifestation of God's power in your life in Jesus' name. Victory is yours in Jesus' name. I pray for you today that every opposition to God's work in your life suffers shame in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Unstoppable God: Father, let every conspiracy against my life fail and let my mockers be greatly disappointed in the mighty name of Jesus. May The God that never fails answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 29/07/2025 SHOCKER FOR MOCKERS (II) Bible Text: 1st Samuel 2:4-5 (NKJV) 4 "The bows of the mighty men are broken, And those who stumbled are girded with strength. 5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble. I continue with the story of Hannah today. There are many women in the world today going through circumstances that are similar to the traumatic experience of Hannah. In case you are passing through a similar experience, the Almighty God will turn the tide in your favour in Jesus' name. If you are a genuine child of God, anyone that mocks you is simply seeking the wrath of your God. Whoever taunts you is throwing a challenge at the Most High. By the time God arises on your behalf, He makes whatever makes your mockers strong feeble. He reduces them to nothing before His children. The anchor scripture for today testifies in this regard. Your case may not be childlessness like that of Hannah. In the mighty name of Jesus The Almighty God shall terminate everything making men to mock you. The God who made Peninnah feeble, will give your mockers a shocker they will never recover from in Jesus' name. I pray for you today that God arrests everything promoting misery in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Great Deliverer: Father, please arise for my rescue and cause my mockers to be put to shame in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Great Defender answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a fruitful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 28/07/2025 SHOCKER FOR MOCKERS (I) Bible Text: 1st Samuel 1:15 & 17 (NKJV) 15 But Hannah answered and said, "No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. 17 Then Eli answered and said, "Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him." Today's Bible text is centred on Hannah. The story of Hannah in the Bible is quite inspiring. Jewish Rabbis (teachers) tell us she was the first wife of Elkanah. They had been married for ten years without children before Elkanah decided to marry Peninnah. Year after year Hannah watched as Peninnah celebrated the joy of giving birth to children but never gave up on God. During those traumatic years of waiting on the Lord, Peninnah mocked Hannah for her inability to bear children. Year in year out Hannah lifted up her cry to God at Shiloh but the situation remained the same. Then a particular year came and she was at Shiloh as usual lifting up her cry to God. The Almighty God made it a Shiloh like no other. A Shiloh to remember. He granted her request for a male child. Beloved, God shocked the mockers of Hannah with this singular act. He silenced Peninnah and her co-mockers. God went on to give her more children (1st Samuel 2:5). This season the Almighty God will arise for you and shock all your mockers in Jesus' name. I pray for you today that the Most High God puts an end to your season of mockery in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Unchangeable Changer: Father, please turn the tide in my favour today and silence my mockers permanently in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Compassionate God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a blessed week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 27/07/2025 LIFE IS A GIFT-USE IT WISELY Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 9:4 (NKJV) Eccl.9.4 - But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. Life is a gift. The ownership of our lives belongs to God. We cannot afford to live carelessly while still on this planet earth. There is great need to apply wisdom in how we choose to use our lives. Today my focus is still on Ecclesiastes 9:4, especially on the part that says: "A living dog is better than a dead lion." Many of us are guilty of forgetting that being alive is an opportunity and we cannot afford to waste it. We can waste life by how we choose to live or through the use of time. The Bible text for today emphasizes the fact that life can be short and very unpredictable. Those who have this understanding always act wisely with the choices they make in life. For example, a sinner that has the the understanding of this fact about life will never postpone repentance or the day of salvation. Such a sinner knows that tomorrow may be too late. It therefore means that the best time to obey God or act in response to His instructions is now and not later. Beloved, the main point here is not just to live, but to live a purposeful life. This entails doing what matters while you can. Don't wait for the perfect moment; act now. Forgive that person who offended you now. Make peace with that brother or sister now. Start that project that you have been postponing now. Most importantly, if you are still living in sin, surrender your life to Jesus now. I pray for you today that the Holy Spirit teaches you to number your days by using time wisely in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Most High God: Father, help me to live with urgency, passion, and total obedience to Your word in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Owner of life grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a blessed day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 26/07/2025 LIVING DOG VERSUS DEAD LION Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 9:4 (NKJV) Eccl.9.4 - But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. In Africa and some specific nations of the world; no human being in his or her right frame of mind ever wants to be compared to a dog. Dogs are highly debased or despised. Most men prefer to be addressed as lions. This most likely is hinged on the prowess and the strength of the Lion when compared to that of a dog. There must be a good reason for this comparison by King Solomon, the writer the anchor scripture for today. This comparison I believe was borne out the fact that we tend to attribute the success of some individuals in life to the strength they possess, their wealthy backgrounds or impressive credentials. We foolishly attribute our predicaments to weakness, insignificance and unfavourable backgrounds in life. Unfortunately, we forget that the cemeteries all over the world house a large number of great, intelligent and wealthy people that used to be alive, hale and hearty but are dead today. Of what use is their significance or strength in the grave. According to 1st Corinthians 1:27-28, God uses the weak and the base things of this world to put to shame that which is considered to be mighty or important. Even in our perceived insignificant or weak state, God can do great and unimaginable things with our lives. I pray for you today that God helps you to see beyond your disadvantages in life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Awesome God: Father, help me never to look down on myself in life. Make my life count for Your glory in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Wonder Working God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a stress free day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 25/07/2025 THERE IS HOPE FOR THE LIVING Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 9:4 (NKJV) Eccl.9.4 - But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion. Drawing from our Bible text for today, as long as you are still breathing, there is hope for you. There is hope and room for all possibilities. As long as you are still alive, God can still do great and wonderful things in your life and also through you. He can still use you to reach out to others or use you to accomplish His will and purpose in specific areas of life. If a man is seriously sick, as long as he is alive God can still heal him. Maybe you are passing through tough times, battling with poverty or faced with all manner of challenges in life: as long as you are alive, God can intervene. If you have lost opportunities or suffered loses in life, because you are still breathing God can restore that which you have lost. Beloved, the living are not free from problems, but they also do not lack the means of addressing life's problems. Where there is breath, there is still room for God's grace to act. Do not give up on yourself or give in to despair. If you are still alive, God is not finished with you. I pray for you today that the Almighty God addresses the problems in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Marvellous God: Father, I thank You for the gift of life. Help me see each new day as a proof that You are not done with me in life. Let hope spring up in me again in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Everloving Father grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a fruitful weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 24/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (X) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. As I conclude on the lessons that can be drawn from the story of Jabez today, I pray that the Almighty God gives us the grace to appropriate the lessons learnt into our own lives. One undeniable fact about Jabez is that he was a man who chose to live beyond limits. Put in another way, he was a man who never allowed existing barriers to prevent him from becoming reputable in life. We can also infer that Jabez was a man who had a positive mindset. He never allowed the unfavourable condition around him to affect his mind negatively. Someone said: "Without a change within there can be no change without." The story of Jabez is a clear case of someone whose change without was motivated by a change within. It is quite unfortunate that many christians are driven by a negative mindset, which has made them to settle for less instead of breaking limits or barriers in life. I pray for you today that God provokes a change within you that will lead to a positive change without in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Possessor of heaven and earth: Father, I choose to live beyond limits. Lead me into a life of purpose, impact, and uncommon achievements in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Unchangeable Changer grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a joyful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 23/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (IX) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. Today again my focus on the lessons that can be drawn from the story of Jabez continues. Many are oblivious or ignorant of the fact that we have a God who answers prayers. Over the past eight days I have considered the various aspects of the prayer of Jabez. The heart warming truth is that God granted all that Jabez requested. Is God partial? Did He do it for Jabez alone? Certainly not. If you scan through the Bible, you will see several cases where God granted the requests of those who sought his assistance. Beloved, God is not partial. He answers faith-filled, bold, and heartfelt prayers. He did it for Jabez He can also do same for you today. I pray for you today that as you courageously table your requests before God that, He answers your prayers in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Prayer Answering God: Father, you granted the requests of Jabez, please grant my requests today in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Almighty God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a fruitful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 22/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (VIII) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. There are many lessons to be learnt from the story of Jabez. We have considered seven thus far. Today I shall consider the pain factor. It is obvious that the sorrow that Jabez had to put up with from birth to the moment he sought divine intervention must have been grievous or painful. The intensity of such grief or pain may have pushed him into seeking permanent solution to the problem. Secondly, we can deduce from the action taken by Jabez that he did not want to pass on a sorrowful inheritance to the generations that will come after him. He must have understood that his deliverance or freedom will terminate the flow of sorrow from generation to generation. Have you noticed any strange pattern in your ancestry or lineage? If yes, what are you doing about it? You need to act like Jabez in order to terminate the flow. I pray for you today that God terminates every evil pattern in your lineage in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your cry to The Most High God: Father, by reason of your mercy, put an end to evil patterns associated with lineage in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Alfa and Omega grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's goodness this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 21/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (VII) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. Continuing with the story of Jabez, today I shall dwell on the request that God should keep him away from evil. Our Lord Jesus Christ while teaching the disciples how to pray in Matthew 6:13 taught them to pray thus: "Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil...." This exposes us to the significance of praying against evil. Apostles Paul also emphasized the importance of taking deliberate steps against evil. This is conveyed to us in Ephesians 5:16 which says: "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." Beloved God does not only bless, He protects. He delivers us from seen and unseen danger. If your life will change for the very best, all manner of evil must be kept far away from you. Beloved, what temptations or attacks do you need God to shield you from? Table them before God in prayers. I pray for you today that you will not be ensnared by the enemies of your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your cry to The Jehovah Nissi: Father, please deliver me from temptations, evil, and every hidden trap of the enemy in Jesus' name. May The Lord of hosts grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you divine favour this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 20/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (VI) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. Still dwelling on the story of Jabez, yesterday, I stated that if there are areas in your life where you desperately desire growth, seek to turn your dreams into reality or expand your spiritual reach in ministry that the God we serve is willing and able to assist you. Today I shall be focussing on the request of Jabez that God's hand be with him. God’s hand in this context refers to but is not limited to any or a combination of the following: - God's presence - God's grace - God's power and - Divine provision. You cannot be a beneficiary of God's blessing without His mighty hand. One question I would love to ask at this juncture is: who are you depending on for strength? Are you relying on self, men or God for strength? Isaiah 40:29 tells us that: "He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength." This simply means that God remains the best source of strength. Beloved, if you seek to attain greater heights in life, God's hand remains the most reliable. Little wonder Isaiah 40:31 says: But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. I pray for you today that the mighty hand of God makes a significant difference in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your cry to The Great I AM: Father, please let your mighty hand rest on me continually for guidance and empowerment for uncommon success in life in the name of Jesus. May the All-sufficient God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a blessed week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 19/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (V) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. For some days now, I have been looking at the story of Jabez. There is so much to learn from this story. Lessons that we all can practically apply to our lives. Jabez did not stop at asking God to bless him but went further to request for the enlargement of his territory. This could be interpreted to mean a request for an increase in his operational reach, growth or an expansion of his sphere of influence. This shows clearly that Jabez had dreams. Big dreams for that matter. To make sure his dreams became a reality, he sought the divine assistance of the Most High. God ensured that the dreams of Jabez became a reality by granting his request. Are there areas in your life where you strongly desire growth? Do you have unfulfilled dreams? Do you crave for a wider spiritual reach in ministry? Perhaps you want to conquer new grounds in your business pursuit? The great I AM is willing to assist you. Cry unto Him right now I pray for you today that The Almighty God turns your dreams into reality in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Helper to the helpless: Father, increase my capacity and expand my spere of influence for Your purpose in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 18/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (IV) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. Yesterday I told you that your desired change may not come if you don't cry unto God with great desperation. Remember, nothing just happens. Today I shall continue from where I stopped. Jabez said: “Oh, that You would bless me indeed…(KJV)." This shows clearly that Jabez believed that the Almighty God is the only one who has the greatest capacity to bless and the only source of true blessing. It was the revelational knowledge of God that spurred Jabez into tabling his request to God in the place of prayer. Proverbs 10:22 says: "The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it (NKJV)." Beloved, like Jabez, do you strongly desire to be blessed? Then go before God in the place of prayer. God's word tells us to ask and we shall be given (Matthew 7:7). I pray for you today that God blesses you beyond measure in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The King above all kings: Father, for your name sake, please bless me beyond my imagination in the mighty name of Jesus. May the dependable God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a pleasant weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 17/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (III) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (AMP) 9 Jabez was honorable above his brothers; but his mother named him Jabez [sorrow maker], saying, Because I bore him in pain. 10 Jabez cried to the God of Israel, saying, Oh, that You would bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and You would keep me from evil so it might not hurt me! And God granted his request. Over the last two days, our focus has been on the above Bible passage. The conclusion drawn is that God can change your narrative if you are willing to confront the unpleasant state of affairs in your life. I shall be going a step further today. The cry of Jabez to the All-powerful God was that of desperation. A very strong desperation for change. God's intervention was the only option he had. There wasn't any other alternative. Breakthroughs in life often begin when we cry out to God sincerely and persistently till He addresses the unpleasant situations in our lives. At this juncture, one question begging for answers from you and I is whether we cry out to God when we are in need, or do we try to fix it on our own? Beloved, God is willing to do far more than what we ask, think or imagine in our hearts. Lift up your cry of desperation to Him today. I pray for you today that God surpasses your expectations as you cry unto Him in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The God that never fails: Father, please have mercy on me as I call upon You today. Hear my cry and attend to every unpleasant situation in my in the mighty name of Jesus. May the All-sufficient God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a fruitful day in Jesus' name. D. O. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 16/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (II) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (NKJV) 9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, "Because I bore him in pain." 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested. Yesterday I stated that regardless of how terrible your past may be, the Almighty God is more than able to chart a new course with your life. As I continue today my focus is still on the same Bible text I used yesterday. We are told that Jabez was more honourable than his brethren. The question here is how? How did he become more honourable? The answer is not far fetched. Certainly this honour did not come from his family background. Remember his family background was was characterized by sorrow. Rather than accepting the sorrowful condition in which he was born and under which he grew; he chose to challenge the status quo through prayers to the Almighty God. God's answer to his prayers transformed his life completely, thereby giving him a beautiful life compared to his brethren. This transformation by the Almighty God made him more honourable than his brethren. Beloved, I have a question for you. Do you strongly desire to rise above the disadvantages of your background to pursue a life that only God can give? If your answer is yes, then you need to do what Jabez did. You must dare to be different. I pray for you today that God gives you the courage to confront your limitations in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The All-powerful God: Father, please do not allow my background to limit my rising in life in the name of Jesus. May the Ancient of days grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a splendid day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 15/07/2025 GOD CAN CHANGE YOUR STORY (I) Bible Text: I Chronicles 4:9-10 (NKJV) 9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, "Because I bore him in pain." 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, "Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!" So God granted him what he requested. The Bible text for today reveals to us that negative circumstances surrounding the birth of Jabez made the mother to name him after sorrow. Jabez grew up under unpleasant conditions. However, to the glory of God, his story did not have a sorrowful end. The story of Jabez highlights the fact that no matter how unpleasant our past may be, God is more than able to change the narrative. The world may have given you a negative label. God has the capacity to rewrite your future. As a child of God, the negative labels of the past or life's experiences do not have to define what or who you are. I pray for you today that the Almighty God changes your story to glory in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Unchangeable Changer: Oh Lord, do not allow my past to define my destiny. Rewrite my story for Your glory in Jesus' name. May the Most High God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 14/07/2025 ALL ROUND PROSPERITY (III) Bible Text: III John 1:2 (KJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Over the last two days, I have focussed on III John 1:2. Today, I want to draw your attention to the fact that physical well-being is part of God's desire for His children. Our Bible text reveals a specific desire of good health in Apostle John's prayer. God is not indifferent to our physical conditions. He formed our bodies, and He desires that we take good care of our bodies while relying on Him for divine healing and strength. Spiritual maturity, emotional stability, and physical well-being are closely interconnected. When your soul prospers, it influences your decisions, habits, and even your physical health. I pray for you today that God grants you all round prosperity in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The Lover of your soul: Father, I commit my body into Your hands. Help me to walk in health and to make wise choices that reflect the prosperity of my soul in Jesus' name. May the Almighty God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a fruitful week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 13/07/2025 ALL ROUND PROSPERITY (II) Bible Text: III John 1:2 (KJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Continuing from where I stopped yesterday, using the same anchor scripture: the soul's prosperity is the bedrock for all other forms of success in our lives. The soul encompasses your mind, will, and emotions. When your soul is saturated with peace, truth, and God’s Word, it becomes fertile ground for fruitfulness. Many in the world today, live in pursuit of external prosperity while neglecting the soul's health or well-being, only to find emptiness. Our anchor scripture is not centred on material blessings alone but links prosperity to the condition or state of the soul. If your soul is rooted in Christ and growing daily, you are walking in true prosperity. I pray for you today that God teaches you to value spiritual growth above outward gain. in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Only True God: Father, please help me to feed my soul daily with Your truth. in the mighty name of Jesus. May "The Great I AM" answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 12/07/2025 ALL ROUND PROSPERITY (I) Bible Text: III John 1:2 (NKJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. Our Bible text for today gives us a breakdown of what all round prosperity ought to be. It is very clear from this scripture that prosperity is not limited to money and material things. It is holistic in nature and covers the body, soul, and spirit. Many erroneously view prosperity only in terms of material wealth. However, John’s prayer reveals a deeper truth: which is God’s concern for our total well-being. Every loving earthly father strongly desires that every part of his child’s life thrives. In a greater dimension God desires that we prosper in all things (i.e. emotionally, physically, and spiritually). The effects of a prosperous soul are seen in all areas of the individual's life. We can infer based on today's anchor scripture that health and success are not isolated blessings but are strongly connected to an intimate relationship with God. I pray for you today that God grants you the true understanding of prosperity in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Great Provider: Father, please Help me to align my heart with You so that my soul may truly prosper and overflow into every area of my life in Jesus' name. May The All-sufficient God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Have a splendid day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 11/07/2025 STANDING STRONG IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY (IV) Bible Text: Job 1:8 & 12 (KJV) 8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil. 12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. As I conclude on this subject matter today, I would like you to know that God sometimes allows us to experience adversities for the purpose of testing our faith. Taking a look at our Bible text for today, it is obvious that one reason God permits adversities is to test us. Unfortunately, many often fail this test. There are many who endure for a while but give up on God on the long run. Some give up due to persuasion or pressure from people around them. Others simply find it difficult to believe how a God that truly loves them could allow them pass through adversities or unpleasant situations in life. The scenario above is usually the case when such individuals are not deeply rooted in the word of God (Matthew 13:21). It also happens when they lack a deeper revelation of the love of God (Ephesians 3:19). I pray for you today that the adversities of life do not take you out of faith in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Ever Loving God: Father, please grant me the grace to be deeply rooted in your word and your love in Jesus' name. May The Compassionate God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Have a joyful weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 10/07/2025 STANDING STRONG IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY (III) Bible Text: 2nd Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Our anchor scripture for today tells us the account of the response Apostle Paul got from God concerning his infirmity. From this response we can deduce that God can use adversities to provoke strength in us. Isaiah 40:29 tells us that: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. This means that God's strength is manifested in us even when we are in our weakest state or the face of adversity. Beloved, no matter how challenging life may be, always remember that it will turn out for your good. I pray for you today that God gives you the grace never to give up when faced with adversities in life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Most High God: Father, please quicken me from within against every opposition in my life in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Lord grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the goodness of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 09/07/2025 STANDING STRONG IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY (II) Bible Text: James 1:2-4 (NLT) 2 Dear brothers and sisters, whenever trouble comes your way, let it be an opportunity for joy. 3 For when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 4 So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be strong in character and ready for anything. Yesterday I considered the fact that adversities are inevitable in life. They come in various forms and we are to respond to adversities with joy in our hearts. The Almighty God has good reasons for allowing us to pass through adversities in life. These may not be clear to us from the onset but eventually turns out for our good. A look at our Bible text for today reveals this secret to us. It is the good understanding of the bigger picture that leads to joy in our hearts. The comprehension of the fact that God is able to use the unpleasant experiences we have in life in our favour provokes joy. Acts 5:41 (NLT) says: The apostles left the high council rejoicing that God had counted them worthy to suffer dishonor for the name of Jesus. The scripture above gives us an account of how the disciples of Jesus Christ reacted to their opposers. The same is expected of us today. I pray for you today that God gives you the grace not to faint in the day of adversity in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the God that never fails: Father, give me the grace to be steadfast and to remain strong during the challenging seasons of life in Jesus' name. May The Most High God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the very best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
