PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 08/07/2025 STANDING STRONG IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY (I) Bible Text: Proverbs 24:10 (KJV) If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small. Adversities are inevitable in life. They can be spiritual, emotional, physical, financial etc. They come in various forms. They can come in the form of trials, tests, grief, sickness, tough times etc. One thing is sure; it is a matter of when and not if. However, one assurance that God gives us through His word is that He will be with us. Isaiah 43:2 confirms God's assurance saying: "When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Our Lord Jesus Christ also spoke in this regard in John 16:13 to His disciples saying: These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. How are we expected to respond to anxiety? James 1:2 says: My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. According to the scripture above, we are expected to be joyful even when faced with adversities. I pray for you today that God gives you victory over adversities in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Most High God: Father, please don't let the trials of life overwhelm me in Jesus' name. May The Almighty God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy a joyful week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 30/06/2025 HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF? (III) Bible Text: Exodus 4:10 (NLT) But Moses pleaded with the LORD, "O Lord, I'm just not a good speaker. I never have been, and I'm not now, even after you have spoken to me. I'm clumsy with words." Over the past two days I have been discussing the subject matter above. I concluded yesterday that many are the architects of their own failures in life due to how they see themselves. Looking through the Bible I observed that even some of the individuals that God called for divine assignments gave God excuses of their perceived inadequacies as reasons that do not make them qualified for God's use. Such was the case of Moses in our Bible text for today. When God called Gideon (Judges 6:15) he gave excuses. When He called King Saul (1st Samuel 9:21), he also gave excuses. Beloved, like Moses and King Saul are you also giving God excuses concerning the things He has ordained you to do? I pray for you today that excuses will not make you to miss your God given opportunities in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the God that empowers the called ones: Father, please do not let the wrong perceptions I have of myself hinder Your plans and purposes for my life in Jesus' name. May The Great I AM grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy a stress-free day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 29/06/2025 HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF? (II) Bible Text: Numbers 13:33 (KJV) And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. As I continue on this subject matter that I started yesterday, using the same Bible text; there is a question I am truly bothered about. Why is it that we always tend to see negative things about ourselves? I am also tempted to ask for the reasons we always focus on our weaknesses or our perceived inadequacies. I have been privileged to see or hear people (Christians inclusive) make negative remarks about themselves. They make negative remarks about their heights, backgrounds, complexions, physiques, finances, spouses etc. The unfortunate thing is that they always present their perceived inadequacies as reasons for their inabilities to succeed in life. What they fail to realize is the fact that they are the architects of their own failures. This is so because whenever they are presented with great opportunities in life, they keep focussing on things that others have that they do not possess and so end up losing such opportunities. They forget that they can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13). I pray for you today that you do not miss your God given opportunities in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the immovable mover: Father, please do not allow me to be the architect of my own failure in Jesus' name. May The Everlasting Father grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a blessed week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 28/06/2025 HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF? (I) Bible Text: Numbers 13:33 (KJV) And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. Can I ask you a few questions? How do you see yourself? Whenever you stand before a mirror what do you see about yourself? Compared to people around you, how do you see yourself? Deep down inside of you, what is your perspective about yourself? I would like you to ponder deeply on the questions above. Why am I throwing these questions at you? It is because no matter what others may say about you, it is how you see yourself that matters most. It does not matter what others see in you, as long as you do not see it, what they see becomes irrelevant. For example, if they see you as someone endowed with exceptional abilities by God and you do not see it; such abilities are as good as dead. In today's Bible text, ten out of the twelve spies that were sent to the promise land returned with the impression that they were nothing but grasshoppers compared to the giant sons of Anak. Whereas, Joshua and Caleb who where also part of that mission had a different perspective about themselves. Beloved, your understanding of this subject matter determines whether you will be outstanding in life or remain perpetually in oblivion. I pray for you today that your inner eyes be opened to see positive things about yourself in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the rock of ages: Father, please help me to stop seeing negative things about myself in Jesus' name. May The Only True God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a stressfree weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 27/06/2025 YOU ARE A STAR (III) Bible Text: Matthew 2:13 (KJV) And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. Yesterday I stated that you were born as a star loaded with special qualities that are unique to you alone. I also stated that these endowments are connected to your destiny. As I conclude on this series, based on today's Bible text, it is very necessary that you understand that those who see your star or are given information about your star may choose not to celebrate you but to work against you. Herod sought for Jesus Christ to kill Him (Matthew 2:13-16). The brothers of Joseph conspired against him (Genesis 37:5-36). There are diverse cases where relatives of some individuals plotted against them because they saw their stars or were given such information. Many are faced with unseen battles and battles they cannot explain due to the fact that someone saw their stars or was given information about the identity they brought into this world. However, the good news is that the Most High God is able to deliver every star from their attackers as long as they are true children of God (Genesis 49:22-26). He did it for Jesus and Joseph. He can do it for you too. I pray for you today that every conspiracy against your purpose in life fails in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Ancient of days: Father, like Joseph; please let every conspiracy against my life bring me closer to the fulfillment of your plan and purpose for my life in Jesus' name. May The God that never fails grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a pleasant weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |

PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 26/06/2025 YOU ARE A STAR (II) Bible Text: Matthew 2:2 (KJV) Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. Yesterday I told you God brought you into this world as a star and the fact that your star caught the attention of some people when you were born. Today my focus is still on our Lord Jesus Christ as I continue on this subject matter. Our anchor scripture tells us that the wise men sought Him to worship Him. One thing is very clear. As astrologers, certainly this was not the first time they were seeing the stars of people born into the world. The wise men said they came with the intension of worshipping Him because the star revealed that He was a King. Was this the first time they were seeing the star of a King? Certainly not. They came because the star of this particular king differs from the star of any other king they had seen prior to that time. It was the star of a King that supercedes highly that of other kings. In 1st Corinthians 15:41, the Bible tells us that: "There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory." We can deduce from the above text that though we all are born as stars, there are clear distinctions between our stars. This implies that there are distinct qualities that are unique and specific to you alone; which also define your destiny. I urge you to seek the face of the Lord for good understanding of this information. Just like I prayed yesterday, I pray for you today that God reveals your true identity to you in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the only Great God. Father, please don't let me miss your true purpose for my life in Jesus' name. May The Most High God grant your requests in Jesus' name. May God's mercy speak for you this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 25/06/2025 YOU ARE A STAR (I) Bible Text: Matthew 2:1-2 (KJV) 1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. Do you know you are a star? Are you aware of the fact that you were born as a star and on the day you were born your star was seen? I would like us to consider the questions given to us above from the perspective of the Bible on this subject matter. In our Bible text for today, we are told that when Jesus Christ was born His star was seen by wise men and they sought Him to worship Him. The Bible also gives us the account of Joseph's second dream thus: "And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me." Joseph's dream implies that his brothers (referred to as eleven stars) made obeisance to him. From the scriptures above I can infer that you and I were born as stars and there are people who saw our stars when we were born. The information supplied above has serious implications that ought to be handled wisely. I will discuss further on this subject matter God willing tomorrow. I pray for you today that God reveals your identity to you in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Most High God. Father, as a star, let me shine for you in this dark world in Jesus' name. May The Almighty God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy the favour of God this day in Jesus' name. D. O. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 24/06/2025 NUMBERING OUR DAYS Bible Text: Psalm 90:12 (KJV) So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. The Bible text for today exposes the need for us to be intentional in our daily living and in the usage of time. It reminds us of the fact that life is short and time is precious. It emphasizes the need to ensure that time is wisely or judiciously spent. From the anchor scripture, we also deduce the need to pray to God to "teach us to number our days," because divine help is required to live wisely, with purpose and awareness of our mortality. Living wisely also entails living with eternity in view. We are expected to make wiser choices, value what truly matters, and grow spiritually in our journey on earth. Beloved, life without Jesus Christ is nothing but a waste. With Jesus Christ in your life you are empowered to live a purposeful life. If you are yet to receive Him into your life, please do so today. I pray for you today that God gives you the wisdom to make the most out of life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Today is my Birthday. Kindly lift up your voice in thanksgiving to God on my behalf for His faithfulness in my life. May The Most High God accept your thanksgiving in Jesus' name. Enjoy the goodness of God this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 23/06/2025 ASKING OR MURMURING? (V) Bible Text: Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV) Eph.3.20 - Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Yesterday, I stated that sometimes God permits us to determine the extent or the degree of His response to our requests. Today as I conclude on this subject matter, I must not fail in letting you know that not only can God grant your requests; He is able to surpass them. Our Bible text for today gives us this assurance. I need you to believe strongly that even when you ask for big things, God can exceed your expectations. There were times in my life that I desired some things in my heart and God granted them even when I did not pray about the desires. Now if God can grant us our heart desires even when we don't table them in prayers, certainly He can do exceedingly great things with our requests. Beloved, words are creative in nature. Be careful what you say when faced with challenges in life. murmuring will only open the door for frustration, affliction and torment. Always remember Matthew 7:7. Ask and you shall be given. I pray for you today that God gives you the understanding of His willingness to answer your prayers in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Great I AM: Father, please exceed my expectations today in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Promise Keeper grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a blessed week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 22/06/2025 ASKING OR MURMURING? (IV) Bible Text: Psalm 2:8 (NKJV) Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. As I continue on this subject matter today, it is pertinent to note that God does not only respond by giving us the things we ask for but sometimes permits us to determine the extent or degree of His response. For example, according to the story of Jabez in the Bible; when he prayed that God should bless him, he added that God should enlarged his coast or borders. Indirectly, Jabez was defining the extent or degree to which he wanted God to bless him (1st Chronicles 4:9-10). He was not asking for something small. God granted his request. In our anchor scripture for today, God speaking through the Psalmist challenged us to ask Him big things. Is anything too hard for God? Certainly the answer to this question is "No". Remember, with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). What are you waiting for? Stop murmuring. Go before God in prayers. Don't just ask for small things, ask for big things. I pray for you today that the Almighty God exceeds your expectations when granting your requests in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The All-sufficient God: Father, please bless me beyond measures in the mighty name of JESUS. May The God that answers by fire grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a blissful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 21/06/2025 ASKING OR MURMURING? (III) Bible Text: Matthew 7:7-8 (NKJV) 7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Over the last two days, I have focussed on the issue of "Asking" and "Murmuring". Today, I would like us to consider what our Lord Jesus Christ said about asking in our Bible text for today. Jesus said you should ask and it will be given to you. He did not say you should complain or murmur. He did not say you will get what you want by grumbling, He said "Ask". How are we to ask, we are to channel our requests through prayers. He gave us a guide on how to pray in Matthew 6:5-13. He went on to say in Matthew 7:11 that: "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him." Meaning that God is faithful when it comes to meeting our needs. This is an assurance that God is willing to grant our requests as long as it is in line with His will. Beloved as long as you are a genuine child of God (i.e. born again), He is ever willing to meet your needs. If you are not born again, you can receive Jesus into your heart right now and He will begin to meet your needs. I pray for you today that you will not short change yourself by murmuring in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Great Provider: Father, you are my provider, meet me at the very point of my need today in the mighty name of JESUS. May The God that answers by fire grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a joyful weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 20/06/2025 ASKING OR MURMURING? (II) Bible Text: Exodus 16:2-3 (NKJV) 2 Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness. 3 And the children of Israel said to them, "Oh, that we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and when we ate bread to the full! For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger." As I continue from where I stopped yesterday, my focus is still on the children of Israel. Yesterday we saw how they murmured because they needed drinking water. In today's Bible reading, the same children of Israel murmured about their desire for meat and bread. Rather than asking, they complained. If you pay serious attention to the record of the journey of the Israelites from Egypt to the promise land in the Bible, you will observe that complaining or murmuring about needs occured repeatedly. It eventually got to a point where it led to their destruction. God responded to their complaints in Numbers 14:27-28 saying: "How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me. Say to them, "As I live,' says the LORD," just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you. God's response resulted in only Joshua, Caleb and the children of the complainants making it to the promise land (Numbers 14:29-33). Beloved, no matter how critical your situation may be, channel your needs to God in prayer don't murmur. I pray for you today that God does not use your own words against you in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Compassionate God: Father, please let your mercy prevail over judgement in anyway I have erred by complaining in the name of JESUS. May The Only Great God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the very best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 19/06/2025 ASKING OR MURMURING? (I) Bible Text: Exodus 15:23-24 (NKJV) 23 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" In today's Bible reading, the children of Israel encountered a challenge that had to do with drinking water. Instead of channeling their request in an appropriate manner to Moses and ultimately to God, they chose to complain or murmur. Like the children of Israel, many christians tend to complain about their needs instead of channeling them appropriately in the place of prayer. What some christians call prayer is nothing but all manner of complaints. The Bible speaks in Matthew 7:7 thus: "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." In the scripture above tells to ask not complain. There is a difference between asking and complaining. Complaints are negative expressions of dissatisfaction and not requests. I pray for you today that your expressions about unpleasant situations do not provoke God's wrath in Jesus' name . PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Merciful God: Father, please touch my tongue and consecrate it for speeches that glorify your holy name in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Possessor of Heaven and Earth answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a splendid day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 18/06/2025 ARE YOU SEEKING GREENER PASTURES? (III) Bible Text: Ruth 1:1-6 (NLT) 1 In the days when the judges ruled in Israel, a man from Bethlehem in Judah left the country because of a severe famine. He took his wife and two sons and went to live in the country of Moab. 2 The man's name was Elimelech, and his wife was Naomi. Their two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem in the land of Judah. During their stay in Moab, 3 Elimelech died and Naomi was left with her two sons. 4 The two sons married Moabite women. One married a woman named Orpah, and the other a woman named Ruth. But about ten years later, 5 both Mahlon and Kilion died. This left Naomi alone, without her husband or sons. 6 Then Naomi heard in Moab that the LORD had blessed his people in Judah by giving them good crops again. So Naomi and her daughters-in-law got ready to leave Moab to return to her homeland. As I conclude this series, today's lengthy Bible reading comes with lessons to be learnt. Naomi and her family left for the Country of Moab (Greener Pastures) but she returned empty (Ruth 1:21). The Country they left behind eventually blossomed (Ruth1:6). Beloved, when seeking greener pastures look well before you leap. Always seek God for divine direction. I pray for you today that God delivers you from deceptive paths that lead to irreparable losses in Jesus' name . PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to The Omnipotent God: Father, please deliver me from wrong choices that lead to ruin or destruction in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Promise Keeper answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you pleasant encounters this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 17/06/2025 ARE YOU SEEKING GREENER PASTURES? (II) Bible Text: Genesis 26:1-2 (NKJV) 1 There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. 2 Then the LORD appeared to him and said: "Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Economic downturns in nations of the world, often makes some citizens to seek greener pastures in other countries of the world. Migration from one part of a country to another part of the same country can also be based on economic reasons. According to our anchor scripture for today, when famine came, God instructed Isaac not to go to Egypt but to live in a land that He will show him. Humanly speaking Egypt would naturally be the choice of many for economic reasons. It accords one the opportunity of engaging in irrigation farming due to River Nile. Regardless of the economic opportunities offered by Egypt which appeared to be a greener pasture back then, Isaac chose to obey the Almighty God and he prospered greatly (Genesis 26:12-14). Beloved, no matter how challenging things may be for you where you are right now, I urge you to seek the face of the Lord to hear from Him before taking a decision concerning any suggestion of a greener pasture. Please, act wisely. I pray for you today that you will not be influenced into making wrong choices in life in Jesus' name . PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to The Great I AM: Father, please deliver me from the deceptive options of this world in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Way Maker answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you uncommon favour this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 15/06/2025 INFLUENCER AND SOLUTIONS PROVIDER (VI) Bible Text: John 4:34 (NKJV) Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. As I conclude this series today, my focus will still be on our Lord Jesus Christ. We have a lot to learn from Him. His diligence and devotion to that which was committed into His care serves as a remarkable example for us to follow. Jesus Christ immersed Himself completely into His divine assignment. A virtue that has become scarce in the lives of many servants of God today. His commitment to the divine assignment contributed in no small measure to His influence and problem solving works amongst the people to whom He was sent. In today's Bible text, He asserted that His greatest desire was to please the Father through the services He rendered on earth. Jesus laboured with full consciousness of the time frame allotted to Him to carry out the tasks assigned to Him. He spoke concerning this in John 9:4 saying: "I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work (NKJV)." Beloved, if you want to live a life of positive influence and boost your problem solving capacity, you must emulate our Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, the Kings business requires haste (1st Samuel 21: . I pray for you today that God grants you the grace to treat His work with high level of seriousness and urgency in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the God that never fails: Father, please give me the grace not to handle your work with levity in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Almighty God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 16/06/2025 ARE YOU SEEKING GREENER PASTURES? (I) Bible Text: Genesis 13:9-11 (NKJV) 9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left." 10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. In the journey of life, there are times when unpleasant situations will arise which may push us into taking critical decisions. When such moments come many tend to allow their emotions, friends, relations and what is termed the "Shiny object syndrome" push them into taking Irrational decisions. Such was the case of Lot (Abraham's nephew) in today's Bible reading. He fell for the deception of the beautiful plains of Jordan, which was well watered as at that time (shiny object syndrome). Lot failed to consider its proximity to Sodom and ended up losing his possessions and his wife (Genesis 19:15-26). Many in the name of seeking greener pastures have ended up like Lot. I pray for you today that God prevents you from commiting monumental errors in Jesus' name . PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Most High: Father, please help me to make the right choices in life in the mighty name of JESUS. May The God that changes not answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's guidance throughout this week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 14/06/2025 INFLUENCER AND SOLUTIONS PROVIDER (V) Bible Text: Acts 10:38 (NKJV) How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. As I continue on this series today, I would like us to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ, our perfect example, number one role model and the author and finisher of our faith. The Bible records in our anchor scripture for today that our Lord Jesus Christ utilized the anointing and power of God by doing good everywhere He went. Little wonder He attracted large crowds whenever He entered any town or city (Mark 10:46). He had positive influence on the people and was a solutions provider. The Bible testifies about Jesus in Matthew 4:16 (NKJV) that: "The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, And upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned." Jesus put an end to twelve years of frustration in the hands of doctors in the life of the woman with the issue of blood (Mark 5:25-34). Jesus terminated thirty eight years of affliction in the life of the man by the pool of Bethesda (John 5:2-9). To blind Bartimaeus, He restored sight (Mark 10:46-52). To Jairus' daughter, life was restored (Luke 8:41-56). At the tomb of Lazarus Jesus proved that He was the resurrection and life!(John 11:1-45). We can go on and on concerning His great works. His disciple testified concerning Him in John 21:25 (NKJV) thus: "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen." Beloved Jesus Christ has commissioned you and I to do the works He did (Mark 16:15-18). Infact greater works has He committed into our hands (John 14:12). I pray for you today that God transforms you into a carrier of good works everywhere you go in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Almighty God: Father, from today onwards, let the great works of Christ be manifested through me everywhere I go in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Most High God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy a stress free weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 13/06/2025 INFLUENCER AND SOLUTIONS PROVIDER (IV) Bible Text: Daniel 1:19-20 (NKJV) 19 Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. 20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. As I continue on this series today, I want to categorically state that it takes positive influence and problem solving to stand before kings or men that matter in any society. If you wield a high level of influence and you are known for proffering solutions to critical problems in your locality, great men will seek you. The Bible reading for today reveals how Daniel and his friends gained preference from the king because of their high level of distinction in wisdom. Wisdom as we all know is in hot demand where problems exist. Like Daniel and his friends, God wants to use you to reach out to the high and mighty in the place he planted you. As you minister to such men, opportunities to witness to them about the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ opens up to you. I pray for you today that you will not miss the opportunities that God has created for you to testify about the messiah before great men in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Sovereign God: Father, I do not want to be a waster of opportunities. Help me to be a true ambassador of the Gospel wherever you plant me in the mighty name of JESUS. May The One who speaks and it is done answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you success in all your endeavours in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 12/06/2025 INFLUENCER AND SOLUTIONS PROVIDER (III) Bible Text: Esther 4:13-14 (NKJV) 13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: "Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king's palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Over the past two days I have focussed my discussion on our calling by God to be influencers and problem solvers wherever He plants us. I have observed keenly over the years how children of God react to promotion in church or at the place of work with great celebrations. They throw parties and invite relations and loved ones to be a part of what may be termed "Merriment galore". Many children of God get carried away with merriment of being promoted without creating time to seek the face of God for what God may be seeking to achieve through them in their new offices or positions. In our Bible reading for today, Modecai was quick in drawing the attention of Queen Esther to the fact that God gave her the position of queen for a specific purpose (Esther 4:13-14). Like Queen Esther, God gave you the position you are now for a specific reason. God put you there as an influencer and solutions provider. Your promotion came from God (Read Psalm 75:5-6 and John 3:27). Act wisely from today. I pray for you today that you will not disappoint God in the position He has planted you in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the God that commands and it stands: Father, please do not allow me to miss your purpose for placing me in my current position in the mighty name of JESUS. May The One who speaks and it is done answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you the very best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 11/06/2025 INFLUENCER AND SOLUTIONS PROVIDER (II) Bible Text: Genesis 12:1-3 (NKJV) 1Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." In furtherance of my assertion that as children of God we are expected to be positive influencers and problem solvers, I continue today. There is great need for God's children to understand the truth that we are called to be positive influencers and carriers of solutions wherever we find our selves. God has designed our lives to be blessings to specific individuals, families, local assemblies, people, communities, nations etc. The impact or outcome of our response to God's call may even extend beyond our immediate audience to generations yet to be born. Such was the case of Abraham (formerly Abram before God changed his name) in our Bible reading for today. God's agenda for reaching out to Abraham was targeted at all the Nations of the earth and was also meant to outlive his generation. Programmed in Abraham's call was God's mission of salvation of the entire human race after Adam and Eve's fall to Satan's deception brought sin to the entire human race. Beloved, God planted or positioned you where you are today for specific reasons. It is your responsibility to discover such a purpose and pursue it vigorously. I pray for you today that God's agenda for you wherever you are planted be not aborted in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the God that answers by fire: Father, please help me to be an instrument of transformation in your hands wherever you plant me in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Alfa and Omega answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Have a splendid day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 10/06/2025 INFLUENCER AND SOLUTIONS PROVIDER (I) Bible Text: 1st Samuel 22:1-2 (KJV) 1 David therefore departed thence, and escaped to the cave Adullam: and when his brethren and all his father's house heard it, they went down thither to him. 2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men. Every individual on planet earth has the capacity to influence others. This influence can either be positive or negative. This influence can also be transformational or destructive. The big question here is; in which of the categories do you belong? In our Bible reading for today, we see all manner of people drawn to David in the cafe of Adullam. The influence of David over there lives transformed them into an army of responsible people and he became a captain over them (1st Samuel 22:1-2). David had a positive impact or influence over the people that were drawn to him. Another observation here is that they came to David seeking solutions to diverse problems and he was able to accommodate them all. This tells us that apart from being an influencer, David was also a solutions provider. Whether you know this or not, as a child of God, like David you are supposed to have positive influence wherever you find yourself. You are also expected to proffer certain solutions to people's problems. Remember the words of Jesus that says we are the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13-16). I pray for you today that your life provokes good works anywhere you find yourself in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Unchangeable Changer: Father, please help me to to shine your light everywhere I go in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Rock of ages grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a fruitful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 09/06/2025 BORN NAKED YET LOADED (VII) Bible Text: Isaiah 43:2 (NKJV) When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. As I rap up this series today, there is great need for me to draw your attention to the the fact that no matter how loaded you are, challenges are inevitable in life. The truth remains that even after discovering your divine endowments with the help of the Holy Spirit and deploying them to use, you will still face challenges in life. This is not a matter of if but when. This assertion can be observed in our Bible text for today (Isaiah 43:2). The consolation we have is the promise that God has given us that He will be with us during our trial period or when confronted by the challenges of life. It is worthy of note here that many people including children of God tend to chicken out when this challenges come and end up passing through life without meaningful impact. This ought not to be so. As children of the Most High God we must leave with the consciousness of the assurance we have from God's word in 1st John 4:4 which says: "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (KJV)." Beloved, though you were born naked, you were born loaded with all it takes to conquer the world. Remember, whatever is born of God overcomes the world (1st John 5:4). I pray for you today that you live with the reality and the consciousness that your victory is guaranteed in God in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Matchless God: Father, please help me to know that I can do all things through you who gives me the strength that I need in the mighty name of JESUS. May The Possessor of heaven and the earth grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a success filled week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 08/06/2025 BORN NAKED YET LOADED (VI) Bible Text: Proverbs 18:9 (NKJV) He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster. In the past few days I have focussed on the fact that we were brought into this world naked at birth yet loaded with intangible gifts or talents of inestimable value to positively impact our world. Yesterday I posited that Inferiority Complex can render us impotent or incapable of operating with the true potentials ordained for us by God. I also stated that inferiority complex stems from negative comparison of one's self to others. The scripture reading for today (Proverbs 18:9) reveals another threat to the things that God has endowed us with; which is laziness. It is one thing for the Holy Spirit to direct a man towards his divine endowments and another thing entirely for the man to take the necessary action. Laziness has led to the destruction of the destinies of many in our world today. A lazy man ends up wasting his divine endowments or making them redundant. A lazy man exits this world without making significant impact. I pray for you today that the Almighty God delivers you from laziness in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Unbeatable God: Father, please help me to abstain from all acts of laziness and embrace diligence in the mighty name of JESUS. May the Only Reliable God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a joyful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 07/06/2025 BORN NAKED YET LOADED (V) Bible Text: Numbers 13:33 (NKJV) There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight." From my assertion yesterday, you and I are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). The Almighty God did a great job when He created us but failure to walk in this reality leads to an insignificant or worthless life. Even if the Holy Spirit helps us to identify our innate abilities, I have discovered that "Inferiority complex" can render us impotent or incapable of operating with the true potentials ordained for us by God. Our scriptural text for today reveals how ten out of the twelve spies sent by Moses to spy the promise land manifested inferiority complex when comparing themselves with the men they saw in the promise land (Numbers 13:33). Psychologists view inferiority complex from the perspective of always feeling inadequate or insecure when comparing one's self with others. This describes the negative confession of the 10 spies about themselves. My dear friend inferiority complex is a destiny destroyer that makes it practically impossible to live an impactful life. Avoid it like a plague. I pray for you today that the Almighty God delivers you from inferiority complex in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the All-powerful God: Father, please deliver me from every spirit promoting inferiority complex in my life in the mighty name of JESUS. May the God that answers by fire grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy a blissful weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 04/06/2025 BORN NAKED YET LOADED (II) Bible Text: Genesis 4:20-22 (NLT) 20 Adah gave birth to a baby named Jabal. He became the first of the herdsmen who live in tents. 21 His brother's name was Jubal, the first musician--the inventor of the harp and flute. 22 To Lamech's other wife, Zillah, was born Tubal-cain. He was the first to work with metal, forging instruments of bronze and iron. Tubal-cain had a sister named Naamah. Yesterday I stated that we were born naked yet loaded with innate or natural abilities to impart positively on our world. A careful or critical examination of our Bible reading for today (Genesis 4:20-22) brings up three questions. Which are: 1. Who taught Jabal the art of shepherding animals? 2. Where did Jubal acquire the knowledge he used for inventing musical instruments? 3. How did Tubal-cain master the art of craftsmanship? If I may add, which university did they attend and who was the professor that tutored them. According to the Bible, they were the first in human history to accomplish or achieve the things they did. The answers to the questions raised above, are not far fetched but lie in the fact that they were born with innate abilities to excel in their various fields of endeavour. My dear friend, like Jabal, Jubal and Tubal-cain you were born with innate abilities. Ask God to help you discover them so that you can put them to use. Doing so will help you to excel in life. I pray for you today that God helps you to discover your innate abilities in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Author of life: Father, please help me live an impactful life as I discover and and put to use every gift or talent you have planted in me in the mighty name of JESUS. May the Great I AM grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the good things ordained for this day by the Most High God in Jesus' name. D. O. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 03/06/2025 BORN NAKED YET LOADED (I) Bible Text: JOB 1:21 (NKJV) And he said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, And naked shall I return there. The LORD gave, and the LORD has taken away; Blessed be the name of the LORD." Everyone living in this world came into the world naked. Some were born through natural birth and others via Caesarian Section. Either way we all came naked. The fact that man is born naked is viewed by many as man coming into the world without any physical or tangible possession. Job a man who according to the Bible lost everything he had in one day (Job 1:13-19), spoke in our anchor scripture today along this same line ( Job 1:21). The view stated above is usually used to caution men concerning their quest for physical possessions. Let us take a look at what our Lord Jesus said in Luke 12:15: Then he said, "Beware! Don't be greedy for what you don't have. Real life is not measured by how much we own" (NLT). If the worth of a man's life is not tied to physical possessions, what was Jesus Christ indirectly saying to you and I? Jesus was simply saying our worth is tied to the level of the positive impact of our lives on others. While the Bible exemplifies Dorcas (Acts 9:36-41) and Cornelius (Acts 10:1-2) for using their physical possessions to impact positively on people around them, you will realize that greater impact on men is effected via intangible possessions like gifts, talents or skills. We were born naked yet loaded with innate or natural abilities to impart positively on the lives of the people around us. Gifts, talents or skills may not be physically seen but can go a long way in transforming the world around us. Beloved, there is nobody in this world that God did not give innate or natural abilities. Cry unto the Holy Spirit to help you discover yours. You are divinely loaded with great abilities. I pray for you today that God opens your eyes to see the treasures He has deposited inside of you in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Creator of mankind: Father, please help me to discover the hidden treasures you have planted in me in the mighty name of JESUS. May the Sovereign God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the very best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi https:///mercyarenaplatform PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 02/06/2025 TAKE BOLD STEPS (VI) Bible Text: Acts 4:29-31 (NKJV) 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus." 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. Yesterday, I asserted that God has not given us the spirit of fear but has equipped us with His love, power and a sound mind (1st Timothy 1: 7) as drivers for bold steps. I also said that taking bold steps is a function of the revelational knowledge of everything that God has supplied for your success in life (1st Corinthians 2:12). As I conclude this series today, I would love to let you know that boldness or courage can be enhanced through fervent prayers that are powered by the word of God. In today's Bible reading, the apostles and other believers of Jesus Christ came together to pray for boldness to preach God's word (Acts 4:29). If you observe carefully the prayer points of the apostles at this gathering, you will discover that their prayer points were rooted in or hinged on the word of God (Acts 4:23-31). For example, they quoted "Psalm 2" during their prayers. When we meditate constantly on the word of God, it boosts our faith thereby leading to boldness. When we dwell richly on the word of God, our prayer points are drawn from God's word. This guides us from praying amiss and commits God to grant our requests since they align with His will. Beloved, are you caged with fear? Spend quality time on God's word and in the place of prayer. You will receive boldness to do exploits for God. I pray for you today that the Most High God grants you the grace to dwell richly on His word and also to spend quality time in the place of prayer in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the God that never fails: Father, please destroy everything promoting fear in my life in the mighty name of JESUS. May the King of kings grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a week full of positive thrills in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi https:///mercyarenaplatform PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 01/06/2025 TAKE BOLD STEPS (V) Bible Text: 2nd Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Yesterday, I submitted that taking bold steps sometimes endangers our lives, involves putting everything we have on the line and that it is for the brave hearted and not for the fearful or faint hearted. Fear works against faith and can paralyze or hold us back when it comes to taking decisive steps in life. When we entertain too much fear it ends up caging us, thereby limiting or frustrating our progress in life. The older brothers of David and other highly experienced soldiers were present when Goliath was intimidating the army of Israel but fear prevented them from stepping out to face him (1st Samuel 17:1-13). Our Bible text for today tells us that God has not given us the spirit of fear but has equipped us with His love, power and a sound mind (1st Timothy 1: 7). In other words, everything we need to conquer fear and take bold steps has been given to us by God. We are also told in the Bible that those who know their God shall be strong and shall do exploits (Daniel 11:32b). This refers to those who have revelational knowledge of everything that God has supplied for their success in life (1st Corinthians 2:12). Beloved, this generation (God's creation) eagerly awaits your manifestation (Romans 8:19). It is time for you to rise and take up this challenge. I pray for you today that the Almighty God delivers you from the spirit of fear and divinely empowers you for great exploits in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the dependable God: Father, please help me to walk with divine revelation and in the fullness of all you have provided for my success in life in Jesus' name. May the Ancient of Days grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a happy new month of extraordinary praise in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi https:///mercyarenaplatform PLEASE SHARE. |
