MERCY ARENA 22/09/2025 DON'T DEPEND ON YOUR OWN REASONING Bible Text: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) 5 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” 6“In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Drawing from our Bible text for today, trust in the LORD means complete reliance and confidence in God. It is founded on wholehearted faith, not partial trust. When we entertain doubt and divided loyalty, our walk with God becomes weakened. Human wisdom, logic, and perception are limited and can mislead. Trusting God means choosing His Word and guidance even when it contradicts what seems logical. Acknowledging God means inviting Him into every decision, plan, and step. It’s about surrendering control and recognizing Him as Lord over every area of life, not just spiritual matters. Our trust in God and total surrender to Him is rewarded with divine direction. God makes our paths straight, removes obstacles, gives clarity through revelations, and ensures that we don’t miss His purpose for our lives. I pray for you today that God teaches you to trust Him completely and not to depend on your limited understanding in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY: Lift your voice to the Reliable God: Father, please direct my steps according to Your will and let me walk on the path of Your purpose in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Great I AM grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a splendid week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
MERCY ARENA 17/09/2025 BLESSED ARE THE POOR IN THE SPIRIT Bible Text: Matthew 5:3 (NKJV) "Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The “Poor in spirit” as used in the context of the anchor scripture for today does not mean physical poverty. It refers to the act of always seeing oneself as incomplete without God. It can be viewed as spiritual humility i.e. a recognition of our need for God. When you are poor in spirit, you don't see yourself as self-sufficient; you acknowledge the fact that without God’s help, humanly and spiritually speaking you can do nothing. Our Lord Jesus Christ is simply telling us that those who have this humble, God dependent attitude are truly blessed, because they shall inherit the kingdom of heaven. I pray for you today that God destroys every seed of pride in you in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY: Lift your voice to the Only Faithful God: Father, please let my sufficiency be in you in the mighty name of Jesus. May the God that never fails grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
MERCY ARENA 16/09/2025 PROCRASTINATION HINDERS FRUITFULNESS (III) Bible Text: Proverbs 27:1 (NKJV) Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth. Over the past two days I have centred by discussion on the negative impact of procrastination on fruitfulness. Today, I will go a step further. Many a time we procrastinate because we are ignorant of the fact that we have no control over the future. The Bible reading for today emphasizes the fact that we cannot boast or brag over what will happen tomorrow. In other words, postponing what you ought to do today for the future that you and I have no control over frustrates productivity. Beloved, commitment to any line of action requires discipline. This entails doing what is required to live an impactful life and not what is convenient. If you will make a difference in the world we live in today, you must have an uncommon approach. I pray for you today that God ignorance does not prevent you from living a fruitful life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY: Lift your voice to the Most High: Father, please give me the grace to do what is required in order to be fruitful in life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Almighty God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a blessed day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
MERCY ARENA 14/09/2025 PROCRASTINATION HINDERS FRUITFULNESS (II) Bible Text: James 4:17 (NLT) Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it. Another reason many people procrastinate is because they are ignorant of what the Bible text for today says. When you know what to do and you fail to do it is sin. Probably if you know it's a sin to postpone to another time what you can do now you will not do so. The fact remains that sin is sin regardless of how you choose to look at it. Whether you look at it as small sin or big sin, according to God's word, sin is sin. No genuine child of God deliberately continues in sin. The Bible tells us we cannot continue in sin and expect God's grace to abound towards us. My dear friend, don't allow procrastination to rob you of the benefits of fruitfulness. I pray for you today that God changes your wrong disposition towards procrastination in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY: Lift your voice to the Father of lights: Father, please open my eyes to see the consequences of procrastination in Jesus' name. May the Awesome God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a favour filled day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |

MERCY ARENA 13/09/2025 PROCRASTINATION HINDERS FRUITFULNESS (I) Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT) If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. Yesterday, I dwelt on the fact that laziness hampers productivity. I have also come to discover that there is a very strong relationship between laziness and procrastination. When we procrastinate, we intentionally or deliberately put off things we ought to do now. We fail to take requisite actions at the time that is most appropriate to do so. In other words, we intentionally delay or postpone carrying out tasks at the time allotted or scheduled for carrying out specific tasks in our line up of activities for each day. One reason men procrastinate, is the illusion of seeking for perfect conditions for carrying out tasks or executing plans. The Bible reading for today tells us that by doing so we end up getting nothing done. There's a great lesson to be learnt from ants. Proverbs 6:6-8 says: "Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and be wise! Even though they have no prince, governor, or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter (NLT)." One key point we can take from the scripture above, is the fact that ants do not postpone productive activities. They do not postpone the activity that ought to be carried out in summer for any other time. Beloved, postponing productive activities frustrates fruitfulness. I pray for you today that God helps you to drop unprofitable habits in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY: Lift your voice to the All-powerful God: Father, please help me to use time purposefully in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Only True God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a splendid weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
Do you have great virtues? What do you think you are good at? Are your virtues helping you to be productive wherever you find yourself? If your answers to these questions are positive, I give God the glory for your life. |
MERCY ARENA 12/09/2025 LAZINESS HINDERS FRUITFULNESS Bible Text: Proverbs 24:30-31 (NKJV) 30 I went by the field of the lazy man, And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; 31 And there it was, all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; Its stone wall was broken down. Laziness does not help anyone. If a man is lazy it prevents him from being productive. Our anchor scripture for today talks about the field of a lazy man. The field was not cultivated and allowed to lie in waste. Let us consider the response of the Lord of the servants to the unprofitable servant in the Parable of the Talents in the Bible (Matthew 25:26). It says: "But his lord answered and said to him, "You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed." You will notice that the Lord of the servants told the unprofitable servant that he was lazy. In other words the unprofitable servant gave a lame excuse for his laziness. Laziness was the reason for his failure and lack of productivity. Laziness was the reason he had nothing to show for the talent given to him by his master. Many today (especially in the body of Christ) are like this unprofitable servant. They are lazy and always waiting for manna to drop from heaven. They look up to others for handouts rather than working with their own hands. They are always in pursuit of non existent white collar jobs. They always turn their backs on blue collar jobs. In the end they get highly frustrated in life. I pray for you today that God helps you to embrace profitable habits in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Great I AM: Father, please don't let me be the architect of my own failure in Jesus' name. May the God that never fails grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 11/09/2025 VIRTUES AND FRUITFULNESS Bible Text: Proverbs 22:29 (KJV) Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. There is a strong connection between virtues and fruitfulness. Drawing from the Bible text for today, we are told that diligence or hardwork can help in bringing a man before men of great influence. In the same vein, virtues like punctuality and integrity play vital roles in bringing a man from obscurity into becoming a celebrity. Just like fruits on a tree, virtues can easily be identified. My dear friend, do you have any virtue? If yes, I must not fail in letting you know that virtue distinguishes a man from the crowd. Virtues attract rare opportunities to us. I pray for you today that God transforms you into a man or woman of great virtues in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Unchangeable Changer: Father, please provoke a divine change in me. Let me become a better version of myself in Jesus' name. May the Dependable God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy the goodness of God this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 09/09/2025 CHARACTER AND FRUITFULNESS Bible Text: Galatians 5:22-23(NKJV) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Our Bible reading for today talks about the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit comprises nine essential qualities that are produced by the Holy Spirit in the lives of genuine followers of Jesus Christ. They are nine distinct character traits that should be seen in the lives of true born again christians. If you observe carefully, you will discover that these character traits enables the children of God to build a good relationship with God and men. The character traits are the foundation upon which robust interpersonal relationships are built. My dear friend, the character you exhibit (whether good or bad) is seen as fruit by the people around you. What kind of fruit are you producing in your neighborhood? Whenever people have an encounter with you, do they see Jesus in you or something else. I pray for you today that your character will not be a stumbling block to you in life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Most High God: Father, please let the character traits of the Lord Jesus Christ be formed in me in Jesus' name. May the Almighty God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's best this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 08/09/2025 GRATITUDE AND FRUITFULNESS Bible Text: Matthew 25:24 (NKJV) "Then he who had received the one talent came and said, "Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. If you pay serious attention to the excuse given by the unprofitable servant to his master in our Bible text for today, you will discover a subtle sense of ingratitude for the talent given to him. He was unappreciative. Ingratitude can make a man to be unproductive. This is so because such an individual will not see any justifiable reason to carry out the task assigned to him or her. Lame excuses will be given for failure to do the needful. Beloved, as long as you are dissatisfied with the things the Almighty God has endowed you with, you will never be grateful for them. Certainly there's no way you will ever put that which you despised into profitable use. Whatever you do not appreciate in your life, depreciates. I pray for you today that God delivers you from the spirit of ingratitude in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to God: Father, please help me to appreciate every good thing you have endowed me with in Jesus' name. May the Only Faithful God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of this week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 06/09/2025 FRUITFULNESS CAN BE GOOD OR BAD Bible Text: Matthew 3:10 (NKJV) And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Over the past five days I have centred my discussions on fruitfulness. Today I would love to draw your attention to the fact that a tree can produce good or bad fruit. In the same vein as humans the fruit we produce can either be good or bad. As a matter of fact you and I can be categorized based on the fruit we produce. The Bible says we shall be known by the fruit we produce (Matthew 7:16-20). The question here is: what kind of fruit you are you producing? The anchor scripture for today tells us the consequences of producing bad fruits. This is also corroborated in Matthew 7:19 that: "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire." Just like I stated yesterday, tree as used in this context refers to men and the consequences of producing bad fruit is made known to us. I pray for you today that you will not producive fruits that will make God to cut you down in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Compassionate God: Father, please deliver me from every action that can lead to my destruction in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Merciful God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 05/09/2025 GOD HATES FRUITLESSNESS Bible Text: Matthew 25:28-30 (NKJV) 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 "For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.' Another lesson that we can take from the parable of talents is the fact that there are consequences for fruitlessness. One good reason this parable was given by the Lord Jesus Christ is to draw our attention to the fact that God hates fruitlessness. The Lord of the servants as seen in our anchor scripture ensured that the unprofitable servant was punished for lack of productivity (fruitlessness). The little that the unprofitable servant had was collected from him and given to a servant that was more profitable. There are Bible passages that express God's displeasure at fruitlessness. In Luke 13:6-7 the Bible says: "He also spoke this parable: "A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. Then he said to the keeper of his vineyard, "Look, for three years I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree and find none. Cut it down; why does it use up the ground?'" From the scripture above, tree as used in this context refers to men and the consequences of fruitlessness is clearly stated. I pray for you today that you will not be cut down or uprooted from God's vineyard in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your cry to God: Father, let every seed of fruitlessness in me be destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Great God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a fruitful weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 04/09/2025 GOD REWARDS FRUITFULNESS Bible Text: Matthew 25:20-21 (NKJV) 20 "So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, "Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.' 21 His lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' I want us to take another look at Matthew 25:20-21 today. You will observe that not only did the Lord of the servants appreciate the servant for his productivity or fruitfulness, he rewarded him by committing more into his hands. Since Jesus was the one giving this illustration, we can infer that when we are productive with the little God commits into our hands, He commits more into our hands. This in actual fact is a promotion. That is why an individual's beginning in a particular venture may be small but as he or she progresses in that venture it results in great increase. Has the Almighty God committed anything into your hands? Has he given you any assignment? If your response is yes, how productive have you been with what God committed into your care. I pray for you today that you will not fail God in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Table your heart cry before the Most High: Father, let every everything working against my productive efforts be terminated in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Unlimited God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you divine prosperity in your endeavours today in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 03/09/2025 FRUITFULNESS LEADS TO INCREASE Bible Text: Job 8:7 (NKJV) Though your beginning was small, Yet your latter end would increase abundantly. The Bible verse for today was spoken to Job by his friend Bildad the Shuhite during the unpleasant ordeal of Job. Many often limit the increase referred to in our Bible text for today to God's intervention alone. While I agree that God can change a man's fortune, such a man also has a role to play. If we are productive wherever we find ourselves, it results in increase. The case of Isaac prospering in the land of the philistines during famine was a combination of God's intervention and the productive efforts of Isaac in that land (Genesis 26:12-13). The progressive growth of Isaac later led to envy from the philistines (Genesis 26:14). The Bible tells us that whatever we lay our hands to do we should do it well (Ecclesiastes 9:10). If you are productive in whatever you lay your hands to do, it leads to increase. Since the God we serve loves fruitfulness, He crowns our efforts with success which ultimately results in increase. I pray for you today that God gives you the grace to be productive in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Almighty God: Father, please deliver me from everything programmed to make me small in life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Awesome God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's favour today in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 02/09/2025 GOD LOVES FRUITFULNESS (II) Bible Text: Matthew 25:20-21 (NKJV) 20 "So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, "Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.' 21 His lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.' Yesterday I posited that God is interested in our fruitfulness. To ensure that man succeeds in life, He have us everything we need to be fruitful. Our anchor scripture for today is taken from the parable of the talents. When the Lord of the servants returned, the servant that was given five talents had gained five talents more. His Lord was highly appreciative of the servants success. Jesus gave this illustration when he was talking about the kingdom of God. Beloved from what Jesus said we can deduce that God appreciates fruitfulness and hates laziness. Like the servants in this parable God has given us everything we need to excel in life. He expects you and I to be fruitful. I pray for you today that you will no longer disappoint God in the area of fruitfulness in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your cry to The All-powerful God: Father, let every satanic altar promoting fruitlessness in my life be dismantled by fire in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Matchless God answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's best today in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 01/09/2025 GOD LOVES FRUITFULNESS (I) Bible Text: Genesis 1:28 (NKJV) Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth." According to the Bible text for today, after God created man the first thing He did was to pronounce a blessing on the man. God said be fruitful and multiply. This tells us the value He places on fruitfulness and the fact that He strongly desires that you and I be fruitful. After the fall of man, man's engagement in sin became so bad that God had to wipe out that generation with flood (Genesis 6:5-7). Only Noah and his family were preserved (Genesis 7:1). After the flood, God repeated this same blessings on Noah and his household (Genesis 9:1). This second pronouncement makes it clear that God is seriously interested in man's success. Beyond this pronouncement, God makes every resource needed to make this blessing a reality available to man. However, despite God's effort to ensure that we succeed in life, only a few individuals are able to do so in their lifetime. Obviously, the fault is not with God but with man. I pray for you today that God makes you fruitful in all areas of life in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your cry to The GREAT I AM: Father, please deliver me from every agent promoting fruitlessness in my life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Most High answer your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a fruitful month in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi Happy New Month! PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 31/08/2025 SERVANTS ON HORSES (IV) Bible Text: 1st Samuel 2:8 (NKJV) He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory. "For the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, And He has set the world upon them." Yesterday, I concluded that taking the appropriate actions when it comes to the utilisation of opportunities, time and resources can lead to relocation from the dunghill to the palace. As I rap up my discussion on the issue of "Servants riding on horses and princes walking on the ground," I don't want us to be ignorant of the God factor. The first part of our Bible text for today tells us that God can relocate someone of a lowly state to sitting among princes. In other words, God can decide to change the statuses of peasants by taking them to higher pedestals in life. King Saul's family was the least in the tribe of Benjamin (1st Samuel 9:21) but God made him King over Israel. God answered the prayer of Jabez thereby changing his social status (1st Chronicles 4:9-10). Have you given up on attaining greater heights in life? Have you lost hope of becoming highly relevant in your community? I have good news for you. As long as you are a true child of God, He is willing to elevate you to a higher position in life. In case you are yet to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, I recommend that you do so now. I pray for you today that God makes you a candidate for divine elevation in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry to the Almighty God: Father, please lift me beyond my widest imagination in my life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the God that never fails answers your prayers in Jesus' name. Wishing you a joyful day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 30/08/2025 SERVANTS ON HORSES (III) Bible Text: Genesis 41:39-41 (NKJV) 39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you." 41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, "See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt." Over the past two days I have been looking at the issue of servants riding on horses and princes walking on the ground. I stated that the negative reversal can be attributed to consequences of actions taken in the past. On the flip side, servants can end up riding on horses not necessarily through manipulation or evil schemes but through the proper utilisation of time, opportunities and resources. Such was the case of Joseph in our anchor scripture for today. Beloved, if in anyway the world has classified you among the lowly or placed you in the lower class category in life, you don't have to remain there. If you consciously and deliberately begin to take the right actions or steps from today, you will be relocated from the dunghill to the palace. I pray for you today that God helps you to take steps that lead to a transformed life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to Almighty God: Father, please plant in me an insatiable quest for a positive change in my life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the All-powerful God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy a pleasant weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 29/08/2025 SERVANTS ON HORSES (II) Bible Text: Luke 15:14-16 (NKJV) 14 But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. 15 Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16 And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. Yesterday I stated that when princes experience a negative reversal of status in life (Ecclesiastes 10:7), it may be as a result of mismanagement of opportunities, time and resources. The story of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) from where today's Bible text was taken is a typical example. The prodigal son collected his inheritance and wasted it all (Luke 15:12-13). He never invested his inheritance into any profitable venture. This led to a negative reversal of trends in his life. Beloved, be mindful of your actions today, they may come back to haunt you in the future. I pray for you today that God delivers you from the consequences of the errors of your past in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to God: Father, by reason of your mercy, reverse every negativity I erroneously brought upon myself in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Almighty God grant your requests in Jesus' name. You are favoured for success this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 28/08/2025 SERVANTS ON HORSES (I) Bible Text: Ecclesiastes 10:7 (NKJV) I have seen servants on horses, While princes walk on the ground like servants. The Bible reading for today has been subjected to different interpretations by different Bible scholars. Their interpretations of the Bible text is seen from the following perspectives: - Injustice - Irony of life - Societal abnormality - Vanity and unpredictability of life and - Corruption to mention a few. You will observe that the perspectives given above only focus on the anomalies of the world's system. Little or no attention is paid to the actions of princes that may lead to this reversal. Mismanagement of opportunities, time and resources can be responsible for such reversals. The Bible tells us that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all (Galatians 4:1). Child as used in this context is not necessarily referring to age but level of maturity and the way we handle the issues of life. Remember, your attitude in life plays a vital role in your altitude in life. I pray for you today that God delivers you from costly errors in life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to God: Father, please guide my actions. Don't allow me to take steps that will plunge me down the ladder of progress in life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Most High grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the very best this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 26/08/2025 HIDING PLACE Bible Text: Psalm 32:7 (NKJV) You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.Selah In the past three days I have focussed on the need for you and I to put our trust in God. I acknowledged the fact that He never fails, he never disappoints and our safety and security is guaranteed in Him. He is faithful to the end. No right thinking person wants to hide in a place that is not secure. When you place your trust in God, He becomes your hiding place. When the storms of life arise if you run to Him, He protects you from the storm. The Bible text for today says when God is your hiding place, He protects you from troubles and surrounds with songs of deliverance. Beloved, when you place your trust in God, He becomes your ready help in the time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). I pray for you today that you will not be swallowed by the troubles of life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Cry unto God: Father, you are my very present help in the time of trouble, save me from the storms of life in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Helper to the helpless grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 25/08/2025 IN WHOM DO YOU PLACE YOUR TRUST (III) Bible Text: Psalm 20:7 (NKJV) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Yesterday I concluded by saying we cannot rely on any human system for safety or security. It can fail. I said this based on what the Bible says in Proverbs 21:31. It says: "The horse is prepared against the day of battle: But safety is of the LORD." The story of David and Goliath (1st Samuel 17:34-51) is there for you and I to learn from. David relied absolutely on God to give him victory. Goliath on the other hand thought his pedigree, physical size and the size of his weapons could guarantee victory. At the end of the day David was victorious over Goliath. To have a good understanding of what happened between David and Goliath, I will suggest you read 1st Samuel 17:5-7. It gives us a description of the armour of Goliath. That armour alone was intimidating. As intimidating as the armour was, it did not save Goliath from defeat. Like Goliath are you relying on the sophistication of the security system built around you? If the answer is yes, you are making a big mistake. Our anchor scripture for today reveals to us the best person to trust. Remember, the name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). I pray for you today that God shifts your focus on safety to Himself in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 24/08/2025 IN WHOM DO YOU PLACE YOUR TRUST (II) Bible Text: Psalm 125:1 (NKJV) Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. In my previous post on the current subject matter, I acknowledged the the fact that the Almighty God remains the very best when it comes to who to trust. I also stated that men will always fail but God never fails. Our Bible text tells us that those who put their trust in God cannot be moved. In other words, those who put their trust in God cannot be shaken. Their safety or security is guaranteed. We live in a world today where safety and security has become a mirage and a serious cause for concern in many nations. Yet the Almighty God gives us the assurance that our lives are safe and secure in His hands. Beloved we cannot rely on any human system for safety or security. It can fail. Remember safety is of the Lord (Proverbs 21:31). I pray for you today that nothing tampers with your safety in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to our SHIELD: Father, I put my trust in you, let my safety and security be guaranteed in you in the mighty name of Jesus. May the Lord God our Refuge grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a joyful weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 22/08/2025 IN WHOM DO YOU PLACE YOUR TRUST (I) Bible Text: Psalm 125:1 (NKJV) Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. When it comes to the issue of trust several factors come into play. Trust does not happen overnight, it is built over a considerable period of time. Our trust in people or things can be based on our experiences or relationship with them. It may also be based on the recommendation of others. We can also trust people based on their reputations. Although we often exercise great caution when it comes to trust, we still find ourselves victims of disappointment, hurt, heartbreak, failure, and even fraud. These have been our experiences over and over again. The Bible text for today gives us insight on the best person in whom you and I can place our trust. The Almighty God remains the very best when it comes to trust. Men will always fail but God never fails. I pray for you today that God protects you from the betrayal of men in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Most Reliable One: Father, I put my trust in you, shield me from the evil schemes of men in the mighty name of Jesus. May the only Dependable God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Your weekend is blessed in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 21/08/2025 DO YOU BELIEVE HIS WORD? Bible Text: John 6:63(NKJV) It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. In the Bible reading for today, our Lord Jesus Christ asserted that the words He speaks to us are not mere words. His words are not ordinary but are spirit and life. Put simply, God's word is powerful and creative or produces results. Although the word of God is powerful, it can only produce results when it mixes with faith in our hearts. Little wonder the Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:2 that: "For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it." From the scripture above, God's word can only be profitable to you when it mixes with faith in you. Do you believe God's word? Let it show in the actions you take. I pray for you today that you will not lose your miracles due to unbelief in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Helper to the helpless: Father, please help my unbelief in the mighty name of Jesus'. May The All-powerful God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you God's favour this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 19/08/2025 DON'T GIVE GIVE UP YET Bible Text: John 5:6-8(NKJV) 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" 7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." 8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." Life comes with divers challenges. These challenges may linger beyond expectation. As these challenges linger, there is great tendency to give up or lose hope on solutions or way out of such problems. However, the God we serve is full of wonders. Abraham and Sarah battled with childlessness till they passed child bearing age. At a time they never expected God showed up with Isaac (Romans 4:17-22). In our Bible text for today, the man by the pool at Bethesda got an unexpected visit from the King of kings and thirty eight years sickness gave way. My dear friend, like the man by the pool at Bethesda, Jesus wants to create wonders our of the challenges in your life. Don't give up yet. I pray for you today that God gives you the grace to hold on during tough times in life in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the God that never fails: Father, please let every challenge iny life become a stepping stone to my breakthrough in Jesus' name. May The All-powerful God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you the very best of this day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 16/08/2025 LOVE AND SACRIFICE Bible Text: 1 Kings 3:3-4 (NKJV) 3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places. 4 Now the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. Yesterday I concluded by saying when you love someone genuinely you are willing to make sacrifices for the one you love. Our Bible reading for today tells us that Solomon loved God. The evidence of Solomon's love was seen in the sacrifices he offered to God. When it comes to the issue of love our Father in Heaven remains the best. Little wonder John 3:16 says: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." In the scripture above, the Almighty God sacrificed His only begotten son for the whole world out of love. Through this great sacrifice (Jesus Christ), God reconciles sinners back to himself. The beneficiaries of God's work of redemption through Jesus Christ, out of love for God do things that please God. They sacrifice their resources and their lives for the expansion of God's kingdom on earth. They do this through soul winning and other kingdom projects. Beloved, do you love God? If you do, what are the sacrifices you have you made for Him? I pray for you today that you fall deeper and deeper in love with with God everyday in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Life Changing God: Father, let my love for you motivate me for greater works in your kingdom on earth in Jesus' name. May The Great I AM grant your requests in Jesus' name. Wishing you a glorious weekend in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 14/08/2025 HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE FOR GOD? Bible Text: Psalm 42:1-2 (NKJV) 1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? I will continue with my discussion on Psalm 42:1-2. Passion and thirst for God is strongly dependent on how affectionate you are with God. If you are deeply in love with someone you will always ensure that you spend quality time with that person. You never get tired of being with that person. If you love someone it can motivate you to do everything possible to please the one you love. You are willing to make sacrifices for them no matter the cost. Beloved, how affectionate is your relationship with God? It can be seen in your passion and how much you long for Him. I pray for you today that your love for God never wanes in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift your voice to the Loving God: Father, please plant in me a very strong affection for you in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Almighty God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Enjoy the best of God in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 13/08/2025 HOW OFTEN DO YOU THIRST FOR GOD? Bible Text: Psalm 42:1-2 (NKJV) 1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? Dwelling on the same Bible reading we used yesterday, a question readily comes to the mind. How often do we need God's presence? Our ability to answer this question influences how often we seek God's presence. As children of God, do we need His presence occasionally, once in a while or only when we have needs? Exodus 33:15 says: "Then he said to Him, If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." This scripture refers to Moses' plea for the presence of God. Moses had the understanding that God's presence was needed consistently. Drawing from the fact that God led the Israelites with the pillar of cloud and fire consistently on their way to the promise land,; we can conclude that we need His presence at all times. If there is need for God's presence at all times, we ought to thirst for His presence at all times. I pray for you today that God's presence makes a huge difference in your life in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to the Most High: Father, please help me to stay perpetually connected to your presence in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Ever Faithful God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a splendid day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 12/08/2025 HOW PASSIONATELY DO YOU DESIRE GOD? Bible Text: Psalm 42:1-2 (NKJV) 1 As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. 2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? In the Bible reading for today, the Psalmist reveals himself as someone with a very strong longing or yearning for the presence of God. Just like a deer cannot do without water, the Psalmist stated the fact that he could not do without the presence of God. Beloved, how strong is your desire for the presence of God? Do you seek God's presence only when you have a request or when there is a need to be met in your life? Do view your survival in life as that which is dependent on the presence of God or otherwise? The questions given above beg for sincere answers from you and I. One truth I must not fail to tell you is that, God's presence in our lives makes a huge difference. I pray for you today that nothing takes you away from the presence of God in Jesus' name. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to Jehovah Shammah: Father, please plant in me an unquenchable thirst for your presence in the mighty name of Jesus. May The Ever Present God grant your requests in Jesus' name. Have a pleasant day in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
PRAYER FOCUS FOR TODAY 11/08/2025 OH THAT MEN WILL PRAISE THE LORD Bible Text: Psalm 107:8 (NKJV) Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! Yesterday, I emphasized the need to create quality time to thank the Almighty God. Today I want to focus on praise. Although thanksgiving is often used interchangeably with praise; there is a difference between the two.Thanksgiving is generally viewed as an expression of gratitude for the things that are done for us or something we received. Praise on the other hand is an expression of admiration and approval, often for someone's character or qualities. Praise is offered in recognition of who God is and not necessarily for what he has done for us. Praise can be borne out of personal revelations or divine encounters. Unfortunately, when people gather in church today to praise God, only a few of them understand what praise is all about. They feel it is all about shouting, jumping, clapping and dancing. Praising is far far beyond these physical activities. Create at least thirty minutes to praise God today. Make it a daily practice. I pray for you today that the Almighty God gives you a true revelation of what praise entails in the mighty name of Jesus. PRAYER FOR TODAY Lift up your voice to The God that is worthy of our praise: Father, please do not allow your praise to cease from my mouth in the mighty name Jesus. May The Great I AM grant your requests and accept your praises in Jesus' name. Have you a fruitful week in Jesus' name. D. O. Oloruntobi PLEASE SHARE. |
