I want to believe that you know lawyers are like every other service providers. If you are better than others in your field, then your fee is higher.

That said, in a neutral judicial process, assumptions and speculations are not facts. All accusations against the defendant must be proven, and not just that but proven without a doubt regardless of who you are.

There is corruption everywhere in the world, and in every sector ( remember this part), but you see kangaroo judiciary processes, it happens a LOT more in lesser economic countries where it can be manipulated by threats, inducement, out right killings etc.

When she was acquitted, I felt bad and felt sorry for her knowing all she went through for over a decade. I was among those who was thinking she really emptied Nigeria treasury but not definite. Thoughts aren't fact🙄.

With her qualifications and amazing career, the politics tainted her achievements. First female director of major oil firm like Shell and first female president of OPEC. If not for the damaged reputation, I'm sure her legacy would have been among other great Nigerian ladies we worshipped over the years and still praising.
