Please, they should look into this and if it's true, then all past budgets needs to be scrutinized because this cant be approved by representatives of people from every zone of the country. Its another national embarrassment to our national institutions and image. |

Angelfrost: It will take a miracle for France to win this game...!
Spain is too disciplined and defensively compact. No argument about Spain still holding on with a disciplined display, especially wen off the ball, making it difficult for France to get a rhythm going, but then again, in football, 1 opportunity can change a lot. So far, its an interesting match, but not like what I expected action wise. Hopefully, the 2nd half will be more vibrant. |

Not that surprised. I said it earlier before the knock out that the Brazilian team was average and that even the nation doesn't have much belief in them. There can't be more that 2-3 members of that team that could boldly beat their chest that they can make starting 11 for major European clubs that are constantly chasing trophies. Not Ravan, Endrick, Martinelli, Santos, Danilo, Paqueta, Cunha, Casemiro ( e no even get club sef), Neymar ( e don kukuma retire internationally), Fabinho etc.
Hopefully by 2030, Brazil would be able to put up of team of quality players and a few world class stars to spice it up. |

CharlesCNG: Did you just call responding “spamming”? Maybe you should check your dictionary before checking my comments.
I am not spamming. I am responding, contributing and exposing the usual contradiction you like to promote.
And yes, the OP mentioned start-up kits and grants. So what exactly is the scandal?
Is political mobilisation now illegal because people received empowerment materials?
Or is it only wrong when APC supporters organise and benefit?
This is the same old Obidient angle:
If Nigerians complain, you say they are hungry and angry. If the same Nigerians attend an APC event, you say they came for grants. If they collect empowerment, you mock them. If they vote differently, you call them foolish.
So which hungry Nigerian do you people actually respect?
The hungry Nigerian who abuses Tinubu online is “angry and conscious.” The hungry Nigerian who attends an APC event is “bought.” The hungry Nigerian who votes APC is “stupid.”
Yes, every Nigerian has a PVC. And that is exactly the point. The same people you insult today will make their personal decision at the ballot box tomorrow.
You call it spam because the point is disturbing your comfort.
I call it contribution because someone must remind you that INEC counts voters, not eye-roll emojis. Is this how political fanboys think? So because you kept repeating the same thing and I called you out with the obvious reason why, then I am an 'obidient'🙄. Bye |

@CharlesCNG
Enough with the spamming bruv. The OP clearly states that a major highlight of the event was the distribution of start up kits and financial grants.🙄 So what's all the repeated spam on all pages? 🫤
Well, every Nigerian to his/her own PVC, so its everyone's personal decision. Hopefully, we will get it right next year. Please come out and exercise your civic duty. |

sweetjohn: Do you just call the almighty Brazilian team average? My guy stop watching football and start joining women to play tete. You have no business in football.
Brasil is the only team in the world that even her worst days still win trophies e.g 2002. They even qualify through playoff and then come and win the World Cup. No team in the world can. No matter how bad Brasil is beating them you will have to shit in your panties. This same Morroco played Brasil in this tournament. If they have added more ten min Brasil would have won even though Morroco is one of the best team in the world right now. M You are still among those using sentiments to watch football🤦🏿 Nobody is doubting the history of Brasil, but this current squad is average na. Brazilian teams used to have multiple world class footballers, but this particular one has dem Paqueta, Rayan, Cunha, Igor Thiago, Danillo, Fabinho, Santos, Gabriel etc. Even Casemiro no get club like this, that's to tell you say e football stock don drop compared to before wey big clubs for Don Rush am like hot akara. Apart from Vini, Guimares and Allisson, I see the rest as average abeg. How many of this Brazilian squad players go fit challenge/ play regular starting football for major European club wey dey always contest trophies? It's not always about sentiments or history, like some others that quoted too. But all the same, it's just my thoughts.🤷🏿 |

France to win the world cup We are discussing about the teams that have played thus far. There is France, Portugal, England, Argentina, Spain and a whole lot of other 'big names'. When they play we will talk about them. As for now, I just spoke about the teams that played yesterday |

LeeSmart: Calling Brazilian team average and thesame you be calling Germany and the Netherlands heavy weight? more you better leave this punditry work begin fry akara oo because you don't know how to analyse football without being bias. Bias you say? Comparing Cunha, Rayan, Paqueta, Danilo etc to Musiala, Nmeocha, Wirtz, Kimmich, Rudiger, Goretzka etc is like comparing Lyon to PSG. Just Vini, Bruno and Allisson are above average in my opinion. Not even my beloved Casemiro is exempted. Abi you wan use Virgil, Dumfries, Rejinders, V.D.Hen, Gravenvberch etc take compare dem Gabriel, Santos, Casemiro, Danilo and dem Martinelli. Anyways, in my opinion, I think even the nation doesn't have too much confidence in the present Selecao but that's just me. Feel free to express yours too. |
Sports › Re: Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Thread by DaGC(m): 5:27am On Jun 30 |
Honestly, this round of 32 really changed my perspective of the world cup. Starting from S. Africa against Canada, then how Brazil narrowly survived (though I still think the Brazilian team is average), but then 2 heavyweights in Germany and Netherlands in just the 2nd knockout day, simply means teams now know that they are both 11 men on the pitch and don't need to fear the opponent's name or history. |
