HYMN 22: SWEET HOUR OF PRAYER
1 Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief,
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

2 Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer!
The joys I feel, the bliss I share
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Savior shows his face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

3 Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since he bids me seek his face,
Believe his word, and trust his grace,
I’ll cast on him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

Prayer Points on "Don't Discriminate"

1. Father, I thank you for your boundless and impartial love that extends to all men, regardless of their past or present state. Thank you for desiring that everyone be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. In Jesus' name (1 Timothy 2:3-4).

2. Lord, I repent of every form of discrimination, prejudice, and judgmental attitude I have held in my heart towards others based on their appearance, social status, race, or reputation. Forgive me for judging according to appearance and not righteous judgment. In Jesus' name (John 7:24).

3. Father, I surrender my will and ask you to use me as your vessel to reach those you are sending me to. I receive the grace to obey your command immediately when you send me, just as Philip went to the Ethiopian eunuch and Ananias went to Saul. In the mighty name of Jesus (Acts 8:26-30, Acts 9:17).

4. Holy Spirit, remove every fear and bias that makes me refuse an assignment, especially when you send me to someone considered a "chronic sinner" or "rotten." Grant me a heart like Christ's, which sees no one as too far gone to be saved. In Jesus' name.

5. I pray for divine boldness and courage to associate with new converts and those from rough backgrounds, just as Barnabas did not discriminate against Paul. Empower me to seek out, nurture, and guide those whom the world has written off. In Jesus' name (Acts 11:25-26).

6. Father, grant me the divine eyes of grace to see every person, including those who have persecuted your church or lived reckless lives, through the lens of your potential for their lives. Let my focus be on their salvation and your purpose for them. In Jesus' name.

7. Lord, I ask for a pure, non-judgmental heart that will enable me to share the Good News with all men—kings, those in authority, and the common person—so that we may all lead a quiet and peaceable life in godliness and honesty. In Jesus' name (1 Timothy 2:1-2).

8. I resist and renounce the spirit of religious elitism that makes me think I am better than anyone else. I acknowledge that salvation is by grace alone, and no one is too far gone to be saved by Christ, including me. In Jesus' name (Ephesians 2:8-9).

9. Heavenly Father, empower me to be the answer to someone's questions and the solution to people's problems today. Direct my steps to the people you want me to help or share Christ with, and let me be a light, not a barrier. In Jesus' name.

10. I pray for believers worldwide to lay aside discrimination and embrace the great commission with a heart of unconditional love. Let the Church become a true sanctuary for all—the broken, the persecuted, and the prodigal. In Jesus' name.

11. Father, I pray for Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Thank you for his example of humility and his testimony that no one is too rotten to be saved. Continue to uphold him, grant him deeper revelation, and strengthen him to lead millions more to Christ. In Jesus' name.

12. My personal prayer point: [Ask the Lord to reveal any specific individual or group you have been consciously or unconsciously avoiding or discriminating against, and pray for the heart and courage to reach out to them with love and the gospel.]

13. Thank you, Merciful Father. I declare that my life reflects your impartial love and that I will be a ready and willing instrument in your hands to win souls for your kingdom, discriminating against no one. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

THEME: DON’T DISCRIMINATE

MEMORISE: Judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgment. John 7:24

READ: 1 Timothy 2:1-4
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

MESSAGE
God loves believers, and He loves unbelievers too. In today’s Bible reading, we see that He wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Just as God can send angels and other people to you, He also wants to be able to send you as He sent Phillip to the Ethiopian eunuch. He wants you to be the Answer to someone’s questions and the solution to people’s problems. He is looking for people to send like Peter, whom He sent to Cornelius’ house to extend the Goodnews to the Gentiles (Acts 10). When He sends you, I hope you won’t refuse the assignment, especially if the person He’s sending you to is considered to be a chronic sinner.

Nobody is too rotten to be saved. I have always said it; if I were God, I wouldn’t have saved Adeboye. I was really rotten and had blasphemed God several times before I gave my life to Christ. However, look at me now; God’s grace is enabling me to lead millions of people to Himself.

Paul was a terrorist who persecuted Christians. I’m sure that if God had sent some people to preach to him, they would have refused because he could have had them arrested immediately. It took a visitation from Jesus to bring him to his knees, but after that, he needed Christians to guide him. First, the Lord told Ananias about him (Acts 9:1-17). I am sure that if God had told some other Christians about Saul at that time, they would have shut down His voice, thinking it was satan trying to push them into trouble. However, Ananias was a true disciple who knew God’s voice and was ready to obey Him. He didn’t discriminate against Paul despite his sinful past.

Barnabas also didn’t discriminate against Paul. While other believers were scared of associating with Paul, Barnabas went to Tarsus to find him and bring him to Antioch, where they taught other people (Acts 11:25-26). The man who had formerly thrown believers in prison began to win souls for Christ.

Beloved, God can save anyone; no one is too far gone to be saved. He seeks believers like Ananias, whom He can send to those who have lived rough and reckless lives. He seeks disciples like Barnabas, who will look for such people and guide them in doing God’s assignment for their lives. Don’t discriminate against anyone; rather, help them get to know Christ more.

KEY POINT
No one is too far gone to be saved by Christ.

HYMN 24: I WANT TO BE LIKE JESUS
1 I want to be like Jesus,
So lowly and so meek;
For no one marked an angry word
That ever heard him speak.

Refrain:
I want to be like Jesus,
God's well beloved Son;
I want to be like Jesus,
The pure and holy One.

2 I want to be like Jesus,
So frequently in prayer;
Alone upon the mountain top,
He met his Father there.

3 I want to be like Jesus,
Engaged in doing good,
So that of me it may be said,
He hath done what he could.

4 Alas! I'm not like Jesus,
As any one may see;
Thy gentle Spirit, Savior, send,
And make me like to thee.

THEME: SPIRITUAL GROWTH

MEMORISE: Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be Lord of all; Galatians 4:1

READ: 1 Peter 2:1-3
1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

MESSAGE
Christian who refuses to grow spiritually will be controlled by what he or she should be in control of. Such a Christian will beg to have things that should ordinarily be in his or her possession.
Until you grow spiritually, there is a limit to what God can trust you with. Hence, you must take personal responsibility for your spiritual growth. Don’t depend on your pastors to do what you should do by yourself. Any Christian who does not grow spiritually will be ill-prepared to take the storms of life. He or she will not be to take on responsibilities in God’s kingdom and will be at the mercy of every satanic attack.

When giving out important assignments, God will always bypass a spiritual baby for a more mature believer. This is why it is important for you to pay the price for spiritual growth. You need to consistently feed on the word of God and spend time in His presence.

Many years ago, when nobody lived at the Redemption Camp (now Redemption City), I would leave my house in Mushin, a suburb of Lagos, every Tuesday morning and stay at the camp until Thursday morning. Apart from me, the only other people at the camp were the carpenters who were involved in the ongoing construction work. However, they would stop as soon as it was dark and retire for the day, leaving me alone to seek God’s face with all my heart all night. One night, I remember that night like it was yesterday. I prayed: “Father, I surrender all. It is only You that I want. I don’t want to be an ordinary pastor. I am not asking for gold, clothes, or fame. I just want You to empower me to do this work. If You’re not going to do it, please take me away.” That day, God answered my prayers, and there was a tremor in the camp that was felt as far as in Ijebu Ode, a town that is over 60 kilometers way. When you desire to grow spiritually, God will visit you in mighty ways that will shake your world for good.

Beloved, what is hindering your spiritual growth? Have you become too busy chasing after worldly pleasures? Have the cares of this life choked your love for God? Strive to continually grow spiritually so that you will not be tossed to and fro by the devil’s tricks (Ephesians 4:14).

PRAYER POINT
Father, please help me to deal with everything hindering me from growing spiritually, in Jesus’ name.

HYMN 23: TAKE MY LIFE AND LET IT BE
1 Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2 Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,

Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

4 Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5 Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne
It shall be Thy royal throne.

At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,

Prayer Points on "His Ways Are Not Your Ways"

1. Father, I thank you for the assurance in your word that your thoughts for me are of peace, not of evil, to give me a future and a hope. Thank you because your ways are higher and perfect, even when I do not understand them. In Jesus' name (Jeremiah 29:11, Isaiah 55:9).

2. Lord, I repent of every time I have leaned on my own understanding, tried to manipulate my circumstances, or become impatient with your timing. Forgive me for the times I have rushed ahead of you, like Abraham, and for any decision that has caused negative long-term consequences. In Jesus' name (Proverbs 3:5).

3. Father, I decree and declare that from this moment on, my life is surrendered to your divine direction. Let your perfect will and higher ways be established in my life, career, finances, and family. I put a stop to every self-made plan that runs contrary to your counsel. In the mighty name of Jesus.

4. Holy Spirit, I ask for a greater measure of faith and obedience—the only things you require from me. Help me to trust your process, even when it looks illogical or slow from a human perspective, just as Elisha simply threw a stick into the water. In Jesus' name.

5. I come against the spirit of impatience and self-help. I refuse to "help God" in my situation. I lay all my plans, projects, and desires on your altar, and I commit to following your instructions, no matter how unusual they seem. In Jesus' name.

6. Father, I declare that I involve you in all I do. I invite you, Lord, to come with me to every "Jordan" and every "building project" I embark upon. Let the presence of the Almighty be the guarantee for the success of my endeavors so that my well-laid-out plans will not crumble. In Jesus' name (2 Kings 6:3).

7. Lord, let your power be demonstrated in my life in ways that defy human logic and natural comprehension. Just as iron swam, I command every borrowed asset, lost opportunity, or financial debt that represents a setback in my life to be supernaturally restored and redeemed right now! In Jesus' name.

8. Heavenly Father, open my eyes to see the unusual provision and promotion you have ordained for me. Let me recognize and cooperate with your ways, even if you choose to use an enemy to sponsor my promotion or meet my need in an unusual place. In Jesus' name (Exodus 12:36, Matthew 17:27).

9. I pray for the grace to stay focused on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Help me to believe in you, trusting that you are working all things out for my good, even when the path is past my finding out. In Jesus' name.

10. Heavenly Father, I pray the specific prayer point in the devotional: Please grant me the grace to always believe in you, trusting that your ways are higher and that you are working out my good, in Jesus’ name.

MEMORISE: For my thoughts are not your though ts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9

READ: 2 Kings 6:1-7
1 And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.

2 Let us go, we pray thee, unto Jordan, and take thence every man a beam, and let us make us a place there, where we may dwell. And he answered, Go ye.

3 And one said, Be content, I pray thee, and go with thy servants. And he answered, I will go.

4 So he went with them. And when they came to Jordan, they cut down wood.

5 But as one was felling a beam, the axe head fell into the water: and he cried, and said, Alas, master! For it was borrowed.

6 And the man of God said, Where fell it? And he shewed him the place. And he cut down a stick, and cast it in thither; and the iron did swim.

7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.

MESSAGE
God’s ways are beyond natural human comprehension. He can choose to make a donkey talk (Numbers 22:28), provide resources in unusual places (Matthew 17:27), and use a sworn enemy to arrange for a fellow’s promotion at work like He used the Egyptians to sponsor the Israelites’ journey in the wilderness (Exodus 12:36). As a believer, don’t think you can understand all of God’s ways – all He requires from you is your faith and obedience. When you ask Him for something, you should do whatever He tells you to do and believe that He is more than able to meet your requests.
People who think that God is too slow and that they can handle things by themselves often get into trouble.

Abraham learnt this the hard way when Sarah convinced him to help God by having a child through her servant (Genesis 16:2). That single decision is the cause of some of the major problems in the world today. If God has said He will do something, He will do it to perfection; you cannot do it better than Him.

In today’s Bible reading, the sons of the prophets wanted to build a bigger accommodation, and they came to tell Elisha. They decided to go beside the Jordan River to get wood for the construction, and while the others were excited to start the project, one of them asked Elisha to go with them.

Beloved, it is good to make plans and embark on projects. However, if you don’t involve God in all you do, your ‘well-laid-out plans’ can crumble. This was what happened to the sons of the prophets. While they were happily cutting down wood and gathering it for their building project, they suddenly had a setback. One of them had borrowed an axe, and while cutting wood with it, the axe-head fell into the water. Apart from negatively affecting the completion timeline of the project, this setback also meant that they had incurred some debt because the axe was borrowed. Thank God one of them had earlier involved Elisha. He simply asked them where the axe-head fell, cut down a stick, and threw it into the water. What happened next cannot be explained by science; the stick sank, and the heavy axe head swam.

God’s ways are not man’s ways, and only a fool will always try to explain how God works. When it comes to relating with God, faith and obedience is all He expects of you because His ways are past finding out.

KEY POINT
You cannot always understand God’s ways. All you need to do is believe in Him.

HYMN 30: WHEN WE WALK WITH THE LORD
1 When we walk with the Lord
In the light of his word,
What a glory he sheds on our way!
While we do his good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2 Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil he doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.

3 But we never can prove
The delights of his love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor he shows,
For the joy he bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

4 Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at his feet,
Or we’ll walk by his side in the way;
What he says we will do,
Where he sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Prayer Points on "Breaking Evil Patterns"
1. Father, I thank you for your word which is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Thank you for the promise of the anointing that breaks every yoke. Thank you for the victory I have in Christ Jesus over the strongman and his works. In Jesus' name.

2. Lord, I repent of every time I relied on my own strength, intellect, or efforts to fight the devil instead of submitting to the superior power of the Holy Spirit. Forgive me for any lukewarmness that created a clean, empty space for evil spirits to return. In Jesus' name.

3. Father, I decree and declare that every evil pattern and satanic stronghold established in my life, my family, and my destiny—patterns of failure, addiction, sickness, poverty, and retrogression—are broken, nullified, and terminated by the anointing of the Holy Spirit right now! In the mighty name of Jesus (Isaiah 10:27).

4. Holy Spirit, my Helper and the Stronger Man, take full possession of my life, my spirit, soul, and body. I ask for a fresh infilling and a greater anointing. Come and occupy every area the enemy has claimed and ensure your goods are kept in peace (Luke 11:21-22). In Jesus' name.

5. I engage in spiritual exercise today! I receive the grace to continually pray in the Spirit (in tongues), worship, and study your word until the influence of the devil is completely weakened in my life and every yoke is permanently broken. In Jesus' name.

6. I come against the spirit of return and re-possession. I command the seven wicked spirits the enemy wants to bring back to find their habitation filled with the fire of the Holy Ghost! My life is not a swept, empty, and garnished house; it is a temple of the Holy Ghost, filled to overflowing with your glory. In Jesus' name (Luke 11:24-26).

7. Father, grant me the discipline and the heart to continually grow in your grace. Help me to pray, fast, study the Scriptures, and fellowship with other believers consistently so that my victory over every evil pattern will be permanent and assured. In Jesus' name.

8. I decree a permanent freedom from every bad habit or destructive addiction (mention any specific one like pornography, smoking, anger, or lying) that the devil set up to hinder the glorious things you have in store for me. I receive strength to continue in the things I have learned from you (2 Timothy 3:14). In Jesus' name.

9. Lord, let your Holy Spirit expose and help me dismantle any hidden or subtle evil patterns that may be running in my lineage or through my past decisions. I draw a bloodline between me and every generational curse. In Jesus' name.

10. Heavenly Father, I pray the specific prayer point in the devotional: Please grant me the grace to make fellowshipping with you the key to breaking and keeping broken every evil pattern in my life, in Jesus’ name.

11. Father, I pray for Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Thank you for his life and the spiritual authority you have vested in him. Keep him strong, healthy, and ever-anointed to lead your people to permanent victory over all evil patterns. In Jesus' name.

13. Thank you, Merciful Father. I declare a permanent end to the activities of the strongman in my life. My last state shall be far greater than my first. I am free, and I am continually growing in Christ! In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

THEME: BREAKING EVIL PATTERNS

MEMORISE: But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast
been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 2 Timothy 3:14

READ: Luke 11:21-26
21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:

22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.

23 He that Is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.

24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.

26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

MESSAGE
Whenever demons get involved in people’s lives, they usually set up evil patterns in their lives that become difficult to break. Such patterns will become so strong that such people will feel helpless, even when they can see themselves heading towards destruction.

When you speak to people who are addicted to pornography or engage in a bad habit like smoking, you will often learn that the pattern started when things in their lives were beginning to look promising. The devil set up those evil patterns in the lives of his victims to ensure that they do not experience the things that God has in store for them. However, once the patterns are broken, they become free from his stronghold.

To break these evil patterns, it is important to ask the Holy Spirit for help. Today’s Bible reading tells us that only a stronger man can take things that are in the possession of a strong man. When a demon tries to introduce an evil pattern into the life of a believer, the Holy Spirit helps him or her to prevent it. Many people make the mistake of relying on their strength to fight off the devil; however, that does not work. Instead, they should engage in spiritual exercise that will cause them to be filled with the Holy Ghost. They can start worshipping God or praying in Tongues. As they do this, they will weaken the devil’s influence in their lives. They must, however, be willing to continue in this practice indefinitely. As they continue to do this, they will discover after a while that they have become so strong in the Holy Spirit, and the yoke has been broken over them. Isaiah 10:27 says that the yoke will be broken by reason of the anointing.

Jesus said in today’s Bible reading that when a demon is cast out of a person, it will return to check the state of its former accommodation. If it finds the place clean and empty, it will repossess the person and invite seven worse Demons than itself to also come in. This means that if an evil pattern has been broken over the life of a believer, he or she must continually grow in God’s grace. Such a fellow must pray, fast, study the Scriptures, and fellowship with other believers consistently. The deeper such a fellow goes in Christ, the more assured he or she will be of a permanent victory over all forms of evil patterns.

KEY POINT
Fellowshipping with God is the key to breaking all evil that might exist in lives.

HYMN 27: WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
1 What a friend we have in Jesus,
all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry
everything to God in prayer!

2 Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a friend so faithful
who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
take it to the Lord in prayer!

3 Are we weak and heavy laden,
cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge--
take it to the Lord in prayer!
Do your friends despise, forsake you?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he'll take and shield you;
you will find a solace there.

MESSAGE
In 1984, a woman came to me from Oyo state in South-Western Nigeria for concerning her finances. I told her, "Don't worry, God will provide for you. You can go home now." She said, "I cannot go home because I don't have the money to travel back." I didn't have much then either, but I divided the little money I had into two and gave her one half- this happened in June. By the following August, she came back and bought a big cow for the church's annual convention. God can turn people's stories around and make their lives better in a very short time.

Years ago, I heard the story of a woman who was barren. her pastor had been praying with her for the fruit of the womb for several years, but nothing happened. Finally, the pastor called her and said, "All the other barren women that I have prayed for have already become mothers. Why is your case different?" The woman then told the pastor that when she was young, she got pregnant and tried to have an abortion, which failed. To save her life, the doctors removed her womb. The pastor asked, "Do you mean you have no womb?" The woman replied, "Yes". The pastor asked again, "Then why are you asking me to pray that you become pregnant?" The woman replied, "But you're the one who taught us that with God, nothing shall be impossible." From that day, the pastor began to avoid her. Anytime he saw the woman coming from one direction, he
would walk away from her in the opposite direction. This went on for a while, and one day, the woman told herself, "It's alright. If the pastor is avoiding me, I will look unto
God and take my eyes off him." That night, she had a dream in which she was standing naked in a room. A huge man came through the wall with the skin of an animal in his hand. She became so frightened that she couldn't move. When the man got to her, he wrapped the skin of the animal around her and disappeared. She woke up, shaking and sweating, but immediately, she knew that God had come to give her a new womb. Today, she is the mother of many beautiful children.

Beloved, Jesus is the master at turning negative situations around. If you are currently experiencing any negative situation in your life, I decree that God will give you a mighty turnaround, in Jesus’ name.

KEY POINT
God can turn any negative situation around to reflect His glory.

2. Lord, I repent of every form of doubt, fear, and wavering faith that has caused me to sink like Peter. Forgive me for looking at my circumstances (the boisterous wind) instead of keeping my eyes on Jesus. In Jesus' name.

3. Father, according to James 1:6, help me to ask in faith, nothing wavering. Silence every voice of doubt in my heart and mind so that my belief in you may be solid and unshakable. In Jesus' name.

4. Spirit of the Living God, I ask for a fresh arousing of my faith, just as you did for the author when he heard a testimony of healing. Let every testimony I hear, read, or remember ignite a greater faith in me. In Jesus' name.

5. My Father, I stand on your promise in Mark 11:23: I speak to every mountain in my life—sickness, debt, barrenness, fear—and I command you to be removed and cast into the sea! I declare that I believe what I say shall come to pass. In Jesus' name.

6. Lord, deliver me from the "Science says prove it" mindset. I choose to embrace the "God says believe Me, then I will prove it" truth. Help me to believe your Word without needing physical proof first. In Jesus' name.

7. Father, I refuse to accept any situation as too tough or too scary to overcome. By the power of your Spirit, I will live above all challenging situations because I believe in you. In Jesus' name.

8. Lord, like the author's vision for the church, set me up to break records in my career, ministry, family, and finances. Let my faith make me a wonder unto many who will see your exceeding abundance in my life. In Jesus' name.

9. Father, in every area where I have been sickly or limited, let my faith attract mighty and repeated wonders. I receive my healing, provision, breakthrough, and increase, for you are the God who has done it before and can do it again and again. In Jesus' name.

10. Heavenly Father, I pray the specific prayer point in the devotional: Please help me to believe everything Your Word has said concerning me so I can experience Your Glory, in Jesus’ name.

11. Father, I pray for Pastor E. A. Adeboye. Thank you for his life and for the wisdom he imparts through the Open Heavens devotional. Continue to grant him divine health, strength, and an unending flow of wisdom to lead your people. Preserve his faith and expand his coast even further. In Jesus' name.

12. My personal prayer point: [Add your specific request here, especially one that seems impossible to your natural mind, and declare your faith that God will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).]

13. Thank you, Gracious Father, for the power that is activated through simple faith. I declare that I believe your Word and I shall see your glory. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

THEME: JUST BELIEVE

MEMORISE: For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark 11:23

READ: James 1:5-7
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

MESSAGE
Today’s Bible reading says that you should only ask God for things in faith. It further says that if you doubt, you should not expect to get anything from God. I know that some situations can look scary and tough, but if you want to live above those situations, you have to believe in God. In Matthew 14:28-29, Peter’s faith was unwavering when he told Jesus, …bid me come unto thee on the water.” However, when he looked at the boisterous wind around him and stopped believing, he started to sink. No matter how tough things are, do not lose your faith.

When I got born again in The Redeemed Christian Church of God, I was extremely happy about my salvation, but I was very sickly. Every two weeks, I would be sick with malaria and would require medical treatment. At that time, whenever Christians talked about healing without medication, I did not believe them. I used to say, “You have shown me the way to heaven; don’t send me there too quickly.” Then, one day, I heard a testimony from an old man about how God miraculously healed him of a bent back, and immediately, my faith was aroused. I thank God that since that time, that faith has been getting stronger daily. If you want to see great miracles in your life, believe what God has said. If He has done mighty wonders before, He can do them again and again.

I once went to a Kenneth Hagin camp meeting in the United States of America and saw about 7,000 people in
One convention. I had never seen anything like that before because, at that time, the entire congregation of The Redeemed Christian Church of God was less than 1,000. However, while on the plane back to Nigeria, I told those who went with me that, one day, our pastors alone would be more than 17,000. They didn’t believe me. Today, God has surpassed my expectations. When you have faith in God, He sets you up to break records. He makes you a wonder unto many when you believe.

Science says prove it, and I will believe you. However, God says believe Me, then I will prove it. When God asks you to do something, believe Him. Don’t try to add or remove from what He has said. Just believe, and He will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

PRAYER POINT
Father, please help me to believe everything Your word has said concerning me so I can experience Your Glory, in Jesus’ name.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Habakkuk 1-3

AUTHOR: PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE

HYMN 21: MY HOPE IS BUILT ON NOTHING LESS
1 My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

Chorus:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

2 When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

3 His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

4 When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
