Politics › Re: Could Nigeria's Careful Ethnic Balancing Act Be Under Threat? by Dalohad: 8:17am On May 27, 2025 |
flokii: There is no written law that says so so and so positions should go to North, same way there is no law that says Yorubas can't hold key portfolios in Nigeria.
You lots will be the first to label others tribalists but y'all are the ones most vocal over tribe of the President's appointees.. if that doesn't make you lots tribalists as well, then I wonder what the yardstick is to tag some as tribalists.
When GEJ completely marginalized Yorubas, did you see Yorubas making mockery of themselves all over the news like some of you are doing today? No. Our people simply restrategized politically and sent the Yoruba hater packing. That strategy has placed Yorubas at a great advantage today and Yorubas deserve all the positions and benefits we've been denied for years. I also look forward to the next INEC Chairman who MUST be a Yoruba man and not a Mohammed or Nwosu. A Yoruba Professor must and will head INEC next. Stop lying. We Yorubas lamented severally against GEJ and propped up all kinds of propaganda sentiments. |

OnionBandit: Ijele will be free and every terrorist and fake prophet apologist will be put to an endless shame. This guy has done nothing but want the best for his people. It's highly unfortunate that the majority of the people he spent his resources fighting for do not understand these things. The only people they love are people who tell them they are hated because of their "industrious" nature.
Indeed, a dead person is better than a foolish person. Why Una no free am since. You bulabanns pushed Udele the vulture into fire. Ikumapkayi: Another typical Nigerian blame game. Must you be told to the right thing? Moreso they were served to pay but decided to ignore it. If you buy land in Abuja with a C of O, and after 5 years of ownership, a new minister comes in and and reveals that for 35 years the occupants (past and present) of that land have not been paying ground rent. Only the recent 5 years have been paid. Now you must pay for the 35 years that the previous owner(s) defaulted. How would you feel? #5m naira × 35 years= N175 million. How many of the occupants of those lands can afford such? You guys just read the news and start throwing comments up and down without knowing the deeper issues. Just because you support a certain political interest. When the same problem face you or your family members, you hibernate, change your username and start lamenting on the internet against the same wickedness that you once supported. Nigerians change your wicked ways. |
Politics › Re: FG Directs AMCON To Begin Shutdown Process by Dalohad: 10:34am On May 25, 2025 |
TechCapon: What I don't like about AMCON is how they take over businesses and allow them to rot. Look at Silverbird port Harcourt, they shut it down over 10 years ago and bush have taken over the place. Same thing with countless hotels and filling stations etc that AMCON has seized. Why not take over the businesses and continue running them or sell them off to new investors Good point you made. They can retain the mechanism of the asset, and send the accruements to the government. |

You are deceiving yourself, with a fake cloak of objectivity. |
Politics › Re: Cameroon English Speaking Areas Made A Mistake In The 1960 Referendum??? by Dalohad: 9:04am On May 25, 2025 |
KnowAll: No they had a referendum. In the 1950’s all those English speaking areas were part of the Eastern Region in Nigeria. They had representatives in the Eastern house of Assembly. But the fear of the dominance of the Igbo made them sign up with French Cameroon thinking they would have a leverage in Cameroon than in Nigeria. The French Cameroonians promise them federalism. But by 1971 they abolish Federalism for Unitarianism hence their problems today.
If they could have waited till 1966 when states where created out of the eastern region they would have their states and today they would have be benefiting from the 13% derivatives giving to oil producing states. Unfortunately all money made from oil as they are now a Unitary country goes to the central government who spends most of that funds in the French areas to the detriment of the English Speaking areas.
They have themselves to blame. Today they are fighting another war to rejoin the East and calling themselves Ambazonia. Lack of foresight.. |

They actually asked them to pay N3 million per shop at Idumota.
Negotiation brought it down to 700k per shop.
Seun Okinbaloye and Rufai should invite the NAFDAC DG to come and explain on TV. I want to see her lie through her teeth that no money was demanded by NAFDAC.

NAFDAC plays politics with drugs and get away with it, because they know that gullible Nigerians will believe whatever they say. Do you blame them? They spend millions of Naira on laundering their image as the most righteous organisation in the Nigeria, but behind the scenes you will be shocked how corrupt they can be. They are truly getting value for money spent on media propaganda. Some of their processes are not straightforward. You won't even find robust information on their website. Then you visit their office, bureaucratic blockades everywhere. The only option? They point to their 'middle men' also known as 'Consultants'. Try registering a medical product in this country for importation you will spend not less than 10 million naira, but on Remita, your receipt will only read N4 million naira. This money is just to get the NAFDAC number for that product you want to import from India or China. The undocumented fee goes under the table. Of course you know na. Investigative journalists should beam their search lights on NAFDAC, they will be shocked about what they will find hidden in the closet, beyond all their self-glorification in the media space. |
