I got the shock of my life about elections in Africa sometime in 2010 in the Republic of Bénin.
Two large crowds of opposing political parties on a campaign trail moving in opposite directions met along the road somewhere in Abomey-Calavi. There was no tantrums thrown at each other not to talk of causing violence
Each group simply matched on almost oblivious of each other.

It reminded me of a great Kanuri political leader of Great Nigeria People's Party (GNPP) In the 2nd Republic, Alhaji Waziri Ibrahim or something like that who coined the phrase - "Politics Without Bitterness'.
