This program seems quite sought after in Canada. If you want to study it in Canada or US, study the 2 year diploma program in medical laboratory technology. Don't waste your time with any 4 or 5 year medical laboratory science to get the degree. The diploma program can still land you a good paying job. But if you have the money, you could go ahead with the bachelor's degree

The 2-3 year Diploma program makes you a Medical Laboratory Technician

The 5-year BMLS program makes you a Medical Laboratory Scientist and open doors to the US-ASCP, UK IBMS, Canadian CSMLS, Irish ACSMLS, European CORU, Japanese MHLW.

Big difference in professional expectations and pay..

If you do the 5-year MLS program, and write the US licensure exam American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) exam- which can be written from outside the USA in designated centers, US hospitals, Laboratories and employers can employ you on the H1-B visa via LinkedIn right from Nigeria.

The 2-3 year MLT program done in Schools of Health Technology can't get you that opportunity. Though you will readily get a job in Nigeria.

Stop giving advise on issues where you have limited knowledge, it misleads young people.

I was offered myriad of jobs, when I finished my Master's degree (including the Oil Sector). I turned it down to go for PhD. Cut off unwanted ties and buried my head in medical research.
Finished my Doctorate in 3 years (the fastest ever in my Faculty).

Then started applying online to many Universities open to remote Lecturers. I got one in the USA within 6 months. And have been earning in FOREX when USD was just about N700 per $. I don't even touch the money, as I run medical centers and other healthcare businesses.

I see at as 'retirement money/pension'. Stashed away for the next 15- 20 years. I am that patient.

The OP has a lot going for him, he is a high flier, but must stick to what he wants and be patient.

It is not true. Okezie Ikpeazu carried out massive infrastructural projects in Abia. He laid the foundation of the modern day Aba I'm terms of road construction. He rehabilitated and equipped Government school. Go to Abayi Girls and Abia Model,Aba,and testify. Enrollment in Government school increased massively under him. He didn't make noise. I earned a Medical Doctorate some years ago, I run medical businesses and still work for foreign universities, while earning good dollars. Even as a businessman in Healthcare, I still find time to publish medical articles in journals. I have rejected several job offer from Nigerian universities. I only volunteered for my Professor when he briefly travelled out of the country some years ago.

I have planned to retire in my 40s after setting up a good business system that will earn on auto-pilot..

It did not come cheap. In fact I went to school for almost 32years of my life cummulatively (primary school to Doctorate), working and grinding, and I think it is time to enjoy the fruits of my labours soon.

Your PhD is still fresh, more opportunities will come. But do not limit yourself. The world is a global village now. You can go abroad to lecture, you can also do it remotely or hybrid.

There’s nothing wrong with acquiring properties abroad except you can prove it’s from proceeds of corruption. Besides, it’s better than having assets and properties in a tax haven or being featured on the Pandora list because you can make inquiries about the source compared to tax havens.
