Hi Fwaz, did you contact your sponsors to find out if they were contacted by the visa office regarding your application?

I’m just wondering how they do this their verification tbh. It’s so frustrating. None of the offices of my sponsor as provided on their website received any mail from the visa office.

I did the appeal on Friday last week.. still waiting to hear from them but to no avail... I thought the admin review fee is £80 but after applying it's says no payment required

Yeah, it’s free. Only if you are applying from inside the UK that you pay the £80

When is your latest arrival date? I wonder if schools can help escalate the process cos I see no reason why it should take so long.

I had the same issue and I went for administrative review already...my colleague whom also applied with the same award letter is already in uk.. Can you imagine his school even gave him CAS without making any payment while my full tuition fees of £15800 was paid by Tetfund and I still got refused..
All this is coming from Sheffield Home office
Why should I pay 15800pound as tuition fee if I don't have the maintenance fees of £9135 it doesn't add up na. Beside the required amount to obtain CAS is £4000..
I just pray the decision is for the best..God. Has his way of doing things

And this administrative review takes so long. I just hope my school agrees to extend my latest date of arrival.

How long till your review is ready pls?

As part of verification process, they would usually use an email address they are able to get from other trusted sources (eg - schools web page, internet search) and not necessarily the one you provided in your letter. I can see the school has a couple of them online, I'm sure one of those addresses has your conformation enquiry.

Peradventure even if the email address does not exist, UKVI would have gotten the notification of a failed delivery which is clearly not the case here.
Depending on how far you want to pursue this, I'm sure your sponsorship enquiry is in one of the email addresses held by the institution. Also, in some cases, UKVI has sent confirmation enquiries to individual email addresses of an institution. So might be worth checking with registrar as well. Good luck.

This is essentially the HO sending a mail to an un-monitored email address.

Was there a contact details in the letter you provided (ie email and phone number)? If NO, the agency carrying out checks for the HO would have used google to get the email address of the university.

Get down to the university and let them have a look at all their correspondence email address, I'm more than certain that the confirmation letter from the HO is somewhere sat there unattended to with a couple of reminders.

You can also do a google search for the email address of the university and see what comes up, i just did.

And note, the default means of contact (for confirmations and verifications) for the HO is email.

I just checked the school website and i can see that the email contact on the website is different from the one that was on my letter.... instead of registrar@ it says registry@

Do you think it’s possible the visa office used that one instead of that which was provided on my letter?

The letter contained both email address and phone number. The person in charge of the email address said he has recieved no mail from them

I am being sponsored by a university

Hi all, I have been refused a tier 4 visa their reason being that verification of my sponsorship letter returned as inconclusive and that i qualify for administrative review

I contacted my financial sponsor and they said visa office has not contacted them.

What do I do, please advice. they are saying they tried to verify the letter and it returned as inconclusive but my sponsor said they weren’t contacted.

TLS sent me an email that my passport is ready for collection but I couldn’t go today, so I will go and collect it tomorrow.

I just called my school and I was told that my cas has been used..the lady told me that as long as I applied for visa that my cas has been automatically used.

No, it’s only when your application has been assessed that is changes to used. Before then, it is registered as assigned. But once your application is assessed, it changes to used. I did my biometrics since 7th, my CAS changed to used only on 24th.


So maybe the day your application was assessed(CAS changed to used) , they had more things to investigate, so they are taking more time on it.

Did you ask her when it changed to used?

Ask your school to find out for you. Atleast they should be able to tell you if your CAS has been used or not. My School told me my CAS was used on Friday, then today it changed to transferred to VAC.

I just tracked my application and it’s been transferred to VAC. Ha! I’m so tensed� .

I think your school is in the best position to answer this question.

Contact them and tell them you want to negotiate a payment plan. If they don’t accept anything other than what is stated on their website, they will let you know.

They gave him the admission based on both certificates. They will most likely withdraw the admission.

I applied 30th dec for priority service and I’m yet to get my passport back. I called the UKVI twice and they said decision has bn made. I went to tls and they said my passport is not yet with them. I emailed my school and they said they will contact The UKVI on my behalf. The deadline for my enrollment is 27th of Jan. Please if you have idea how I can go about it. Kindly suggest.

Your school said they will contact UKVI on your behalf. That’s great. No need to panic, just wait for them. Also continue tracking your application, since they said a decision has been made, it should arrive any moment. Good luck

Hello house,I just submitted my application for super priority and I got a mail from them saying that my application is not straight forward and can be decided on under normal customer service time. What’s the meaning of this please as I need to travel this week

I think it’s just a generic mail they send when they have too many applications to process and they not sure they’ll be able to make a decision on your application within the normal time they are supposed to (in your case, 24hours)
