I can provide you guidance here but, due to an unpleasant experience in the past, I’m unable to provide direct person-to-person contact.

There was nothing really special about my CV. It contained, thankfully, all the elements required— they were clear, logical, with bullet-points in the right areas and was 2-paged. I resided in Europe when the application was made so my CV was bereft of date of birth, local government area, etc— all those appendages that comes with a Nigerian CV. Ensure your language is correct and try to match your CV to the requirements of the particular role you are applying for. Basically, all the requirements are important. In Amsterdam we were told that they got 19,000 (if I recall well) applications; and were just 24. So it is very competitive.

If I were you,I would start now,get a lot of GMAT and shl materials and begin to study them day and night for next years recruitment in the big fours,like PWC,ey,kpmg etc,this years recruitment in most big agencies are concluded or almost concluded,u could start now and start preparing for next years own as you find any little job doing,I wish I had someone give me this advice when I graduated too,I graduated early too but didn't know about these firms and how they operate,by the time I knew about them and started writing their exams,it was failure all the way,till I spent a concrete year reading and practising like crazy,didn't sleep till 2 am daily,I was that desperate,since then,to God be the glory,I haven't failed any exam ,but then age is no longer on my side,so dear, make hay while the sun shines

I could relate to being nervous chai. I was looking for a simple word o,lol i didnt find it till d interviewer helped me. So yes, like i said, read wide so u would b comfortable with any topic. Doing this will make u a major contributor so u don't necessarily need to take up a position.

The group discussion, even if you're not a time keeper, presenter or facilitator, be a key contributor. My group's topic was something on recession in Nigeria. I had been following up on it plus I wrote an essay on it, so you could say I was quite knowledgeable on that matter. So, when I saw the topic, I told myself I wouldn't take up any position but be a key contributor.

When it was time for personal interview, for some reason I can't understand, I was now nervous that I started rapping (talking very fast). The HR lady then asked if I wanted to perform well on the interview. You know my answer. She said I should be the way I was during the group discussion. So, appaz, they noticed my contribution and the fact that I was very comfortable with the topic. They even gave me few minutes to chill and get myself together. (I always had nice interviewers .)

So, in essence, if you're very knowledgeable in your group's topic, it would be better for you to be a key contributor and leave the others to your group members. You don't want to appear like you're overshadowing them, y'know.

I can very much relate with your success story. Indeed it was a long walk to success.

Alright so, i will like to give some tips to those that will apply next year:

- Pray without Ceasing ( God is important)
- Start practicing from this year
- Practice Online SHL a lot of times and work on being fast
- Be familiar with PwC values
- For Group discussion, try to take responsibility (Time Keeper/ Presenter/ Facilitator)
- When presenting your points, you could build on a team member's point, this shows u would make a good team member. But also try to present a totally new point
-Start reading all these economic/political stuffs that we youths find boring, they would definitely ask about something related to the economy
- During your interview, try to be truthful as much as u can because they would definitely refer back to one thing you said and you know Integrity is highly valued by an Audit company like PwC
- Also don't depend on only this thread, read previous year's threads too
- And make sure you don't develop high blood pressure while waiting for their feedback mails.
- believe in yourself too

By the way, i got to the last stage last year and I wasn't employed, so for those that didn't get in this year, Please be persistent. No harm in trying again. I also got to Access Bank's last stage, NSE's last stage last year too, Sterling bank as well but i wasn't employed. Remember a winner is someone who tried one more time.
For those of us that got in, remember this is just the beginning. There is still a long way to go. So, we must not rest on our oars.

So I was supposed to attend the First Bank AC this saturday but olowogbogboro has made a way for me where I thought there was no way. PWCs mail landed yesterday. For those still in the job hunt, never stop believing. God and Persistence are the keys. Never ever ever give up. I graduated in 2014, finished service in 2015. Wrote KPMG during service, I failed. Got to the last stages of the following: Access Bank, NSE, PWC last year, Sterling Bank but I wasn't employed. After 6 months of staying at home, I taught for 6 months and earned 25k teaching data processing and computer studies. Then I got a graduate internship position in a software development company where i have worked for one year up till now. Moral of the story, never ever give up. God is alive.
