Politics / Yoruba To Sultan-you Sit On Throne Soaked With Blood Of Innocent Souls by damilogogle(m): 2:20pm On Aug 15, 2019
A coalition of several Itsekiri, Edo and Yoruba groups, Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA), has written a scathing open letter to the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad and the Fulani leaders over the state of the nation, especially the unabetted killing by Fulani herdsmen.

In the letter addressed to the Sultan of Sokoto and Fulani leaders, the expressed “deepest feelings about the Nigerian state and what appears to be the pitfalls that lay ahead, most of which are oiled and orchestrated by your own people, the Fulani, albeit consciously.”

They accused the Sultan of ‘sitting on a throne soaked with the blood of millions of innocent souls anguished with deafening ears to the agony of the spirit of millions of victims of the horrendous killings by your men, who came from Fouta Jallon in Senegal, only some 210 years ago.’

Read the letter in full:

THE STATE OF THE NATION
We write this letter to you considering your importance as the head of the Fulani people in Nigeria. You are also the head of Fulani Muslims in Nigeria. It is our hope that you will be able to share the thoughts expressed here with the 7 million Fulani people in Nigeria through your traditional means of communication.

We write to honour you with this letter, given the floundering opportunities for a dialogue on the future of Nigeria, which has eluded the various ethnic groups in Nigeria and which may not enhance itself too soon.
Given the drumbeats of armed violence and extremism perpetrated largely by your people, and the fleeting prospects of a national dialogue, we hope this letter will not be the last opportunity to constructively engage you and the Fulani nation.

We, on behalf of Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA), a coalition of several Itsekiri, Edo and Yoruba groups write with our deepest feelings about the Nigerian state and what appears to be the pitfalls that lay ahead, most of which are oiled and orchestrated by your own people, the Fulani, albeit consciously.

Today, you sit on a throne soaked with the blood of millions of innocent souls anguished with deafening ears to the agony of the spirit of millions of victims of the horrendous killings by your men, who came from Fouta Jallon in Senegal, only some 210 years ago.

THE PAST
There was no history of Fulani in today’s territory until 1804. This was 800 years after the Yoruba Kingdoms had been established, about 600 years after the Hausa, Ijaw, Tiv, Igala, Junkun Kingdoms had flourished. The Igbo Nation had existed for centuries before your people wandered into this hemisphere.

We recall that your forebears came to power through brutal and bloody conquest of indigenous peoples in many parts of Northern Nigeria under the guise of Islam even though Islam had taken firm roots in Yorubaland, Kano and Bornu Empires as early as the 11th century.

Since your sojourn in Nigeria, you have been very lucky.
A whole country of over 300 ethnic groups, was handed over to you a foreigner, first through conquest of some of its part, you, who never owned an inch of land centuries earlier in this hemisphere.
You have reaped the fruits which trees you did not plant and you knew not when they were planted.

Moreso, you were from a family of wanderers and your emergence as Emir and traditional ruler was unusual, having no royal blood in your veins ab initio.
No doubt, you succeeded in taking over the land, the main means of production of these innocent peoples whose main offence was that they were too caring, too gentle, too subservient and accommodating of foreigners in their ancestral homeland.

Today, you sit on a throne soaked with the blood of millions of innocent souls anguished with deafening ears to the agony of the spirit of millions of victims of the horrendous killings by your men, who came from Fouta Jallon in Senegal, only some 210 years ago.

The British left in 1960 and you emerged as the main benefactor even though your people were not known to have fought for independence.
You were wise enough to plant your people in the security institutions, a reflection of your preference for force and brigandage instead of a knowledge-driven society.

Through direct military intervention or subterfuge, sly plots, you have been ruling Nigeria, or determining who rule Nigeria since 1960. This is a rare luck that only courageous people can manage for some time, but needs wise, intelligent, decent and conscientious people to manage for a millennium.

Under the false, artificial creation called Nigeria, your people produce no oil, yet you appropriate and decide how the resources should be expended.
You have no access to the Ocean, yet you decide which goods should be imported and which vessel should ply routes that indigenous owners of this God given oceans had been using for centuries.

All the military weapons were bought not by your money, but you decide who should use them and who should be killed by the same weapons. You have no rich scholarly tradition, yet your people sit on the Nigerian Universities Commission, (NUC) and decide the faith of other Nigerians.

You located all the military institutions in your land, more out of fear than out of love for justice and fairplay.

90 percent of Nigerian resources are sourced from the South and Middle Belt, yet you decide how the funds should be spent. Did you think this irresponsible way of life will continue for ever? Did your people think we are foolish and even if we are, did you think coming generations will accept this brazen exploitation? We have called for dialogue on these issues, but you call it treason.

The truth is that you have grossly mismanaged this opportunity. Your ruinous and destructive tradition has robbed on all Nigerians. Your intuition for aggression has become a national culture.

Your disdain for debate and logical criticisms has been imbibed by Nigerians who continue to gravitate towards the custodians of political power, whose way of life must be imbibed for recognition.

You have ruined and destroyed this whole nation at your beckon due to your exclusive, narrow, primordial and savage instincts driven only by your self interest and your brutal and non-negotiable desire to conquer and subdue every nationality in Nigeria. This is a tall task which you are hell bent in executing.

THE INVASION OF YORUBALAND BY FULANI HERDSMEN

We like to caution you on your latest antics to renew your grand 1804 design to conquer the entire country, not through ideas but through the most savage tradition of killings and maiming.

This to us is at the bottom of the current Fulani kidnapping in Yorubaland. We wish to inform you that we are aware of your grand plan to renew a project done half way and put on mute mode since the defeat of your forces in 1840 by the Yoruba Army.

We are worried that you and your Fulani people have been suspiciously silent on the kidnapping of Yoruba people, the killing of our young professionals including the killing of the daughter of a prominent Yoruba leader.

We were not surprised that you and the other Fulani leaders did not consider it necessary to send condolence messages or even visit the family of the slain woman. This can only mean your tacit approval or at least, a philosophy of cold compromise.

Please be aware that in the past two years, records show that 689 Yoruba people have been kidnapped by your people, Fulani, about 400 reported cases of rape, including rape of toddlers. Out of this number of the kidnapped, 356 were women, and out of that number, 250 were married women.

In all, 112 people were killed by your Fulani people either for resisting kidnap or for failing to pay ransom. This may mean nothing to you, but to us, it means a lot.

We urge you to imagine a group of armed Yoruba cocoa farmers storming forests in Kano, Katsina and Sokoto, kidnapping Fulani people, raping their young girls and even killing the daughter of an Emir or a prominent Fulani leader? Can you also imagine the same heavily armed Yoruba cocoa farmers occupying your forests, stopping your people from farming and preventing your people from plying the highways in their ancestral homes?

To make the matter worse, imagine the armed Yoruba cocoa farmers carry out these terrible crimes under the banner of a Yoruba man as the Nigerian President. How will you feel?

As it is, your people, the Fulani are digging their hands down our throats. They are entering our bedrooms and sleeping with our mothers and wives. These actions are not only against Islam, they are against humanity.

These latest actions plus our experiences in the past have combined to renew the energy of millions of Yoruba people who want a country of their own. Either you like it or not, this will happen. God, before whom you and your big crown are like but a filthy rag, will make it happen.

We urge you to prepare your self to dialogue or if you chose the path of violence, there will be proportional response. Having Yoruba or Igbo Republics is something you do not wish to hear, but which is imminent and inevitable.

Please be aware that the Yoruba do not begrudge your values and the ways of your living, all we are saying is that we want to live our lives, design our political and cultural architecture, live and die on our own terms.

The forthcoming Yoruba Republic will be glad to accommodate righteous Fulani people who respect our civilisations and the laws of our fatherland.
We wish to use this opportunity to advice you and your people to be aware that you have no power to conquer Yoruba Nation. Your forebears tried and failed. Your military and political surrogates tried, marked with killings, maiming and destruction of our economy, yet they failed.

We ask you to instruct your people, the armed Fulani herdsmen to withdraw from Yoruba territories and on their own, mop up the cache of arms and ammunition stored in Yoruba territories.

Sir, the Yoruba people stand for peace and not war. We would prefer these issues to be resolved amicably without firing any gun shot. But, we wish to say that if your heart remains rebellious and your soul defiant, the Yoruba people are not afraid to confront you once again the way we did some 175 years ago, this time in the most ferocious manner you can ever imagine. It is necessary to let you know this even though we are aware that you will not change the conquest desires of your heart.

We wish you a happy Salah and Allah’s wisdom to know and do what is right.

Yours Sincerely,

The Yoruba self determination group

Politics / Sowore Group, Allies Announce Date To Resume Protests by damilogogle(m): 9:31pm On Aug 09, 2019
The Coalition For Revolution (CORE), a group led by detained 2019 presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, and its allies, have vowed to resume protests demanding revolution in Nigeria.

Co-convener of the group, Mr. Olaseni Ajai, made the announcement to newsmen on Friday in Lagos.

He disclosed that, Monday August 19, 2019 has been fixed for the continuation of the protest tagged #RevolutionNow across Nigeria.

Noting that the protest was not calling for removal of the Buhari-led government, Ajai said: “the incumbent government, having failed to deliver good governance to the Nigerian people.”

“For the avoidance of any doubt, we hereby reiterate our five core demands: An economy that works for the masses; An effective and democratic end to insecurity; An end to systemic corruption and for total system change; The immediate implementation of the N30,000 minimum wage; including free and qualitative education for all,” he said.

Ajai said: “The order described as being renewable, reminds one of nothing but the military days of tyranny.”

He expressed worry that government is trying to reintroduce Decree 2, an order that was used to unlawfully detain many Nigerians without trial during the past military administrations under maximum rulers.

“We vehemently condemn this Decree 2 in disguise that has found its way back into our democracy. We urge Nigerians and lovers of democracy to resist this.” Ajai added.

On the statement issued by the presidency that the August 5 protest was not successful, a member of the CORE movement, Mr. Lere Legacy, said: “The protest was successful in 21 cities, 17 states and 6 countries with over 30,000 people joining the conversation online in few hours of its commencement.

“Indices of growth are falling and the level of unemployment between 2018 and the first quarter of this year increased by 30%. Those with meaningful employment as of today are less than 40%. There’s acute poverty and insecurity everywhere”.

On his part, Deputy Director, Joint Action Front (JAF), Mr. Achike Chude said: “The groundswell of opinion is that there is no basis for detaining him. Government should release Sowore and do the needful. The needful is to provide for the people using the people’s resources.

“They have been given a mandate by the people; a mandate that must be directed towards the interest and the welfare of the people. If they undermine that themselves, then they put themselves in a situation where people begin to ask questions and power lies in the hands of the people.”

Politics / Presidency Accuses Atiku Of Seeking To Influence Election Tribunal by damilogogle(m): 10:01pm On Aug 03, 2019
Atiku Abubakar , the presidential candidate of the PDP, has received a strong message from the presidency

- A statement released by presidential aide, Femi Adesina, reminded Atiku that the outcome of the 2019 presidential election had been decided by Nigerians

- According to the presidency, some of the PDP candidate's recent comments on the poll were belated and would not change the result in his favor

- This is coming few days after the APC accused the PDP’s presidential candidate of projecting himself as a “shadow president”
The presidency has accused the presidential candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar of trying to denigrates the country’s democracy, which he was part of building.

Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, said the PDP candidate was trying to influence decision in the ongoing legal tussle over the result of the 2019 presidential poll by appealing to the emotions of Nigerians.

In a statement entitled Atiku’s unrelenting appeal to emotion: A gambit doom to fail, issued on Friday, August 2, Adesina said Atiku's efforts to appeal to the emotions of Nigerians, particularly members of the judiciary were pitiable.

The presidency made the accusation following
Atiku’s statements on developments such as the report that the Nigeria military secretly buried about 1,000 soldiers killed by Boko Haram in the northeast.

Adesina said: " First, it was laughable, now it gets progressively pitiable, to see and hear efforts by presidential candidate of the PDP in the last general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, appeal to the emotions of Nigerians, particularly members of the judiciary, perchance it would influence decision in the ongoing legal tussle over the result of the presidential poll. "

The presidency advised Atiku against trying to whip up "negative sentiments" as the judiciary would decide the case before it.
" We have told Alhaji Abubakar and his co-travelers that the judiciary would always come to conclusions, drawing from matters of the law placed before it, and not sentiments or so-called “pulse of the nation.”

"Therefore, in vain does anybody labour to devalue the government and its military, thinking it would fall into a grand plan to get into office through artifice. The campaigns and elections for 2019 are long over. The country has moved on. And those who know it actually know it ," he added.

Atiku and his party, the PDP, are currently at the election petition tribunal challenging the declaration of President Muhammau Buhari as winner of the 2019 presidential election.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) had earlier told Atiku that he has since lost the 2019 presidential election and should, therefore, wake to the realities on ground.

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is so desperate to force through a move to Real Madrid, that he has submitted a transfer request, according to El Chiringuito.

It is understood that Pogba told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he wants to leave Old Trafford, before refusing to play in Saturday’s friendly against AC Milan.

Although the club’s official word is that he suffered a back spasm, Pogba was expected to play some part in the match.
However, it is being claimed Pogba is not injured at all, but deliberately chose not to travel to Cardiff and communicated his desire to leave to Solskjaer while at Carrington on Friday.

The £89million man is not happy with his current situation and wants to join Real Madrid and told Solskjaer as much in training.

Religion / 25,000 Nigerian Pilgrims In Saudi For 2019 Hajj- Hajj Commission by damilogogle(m): 3:16pm On Aug 03, 2019
About 25,000 Nigerian pilgrims on Friday afternoon arrived in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for the 2019 Hajj.
The RepresentativeRepresentative of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria in Saudi Arabia, Dr Aliyu Tanko, confirmed this in Makkah.

The Hajj rites will reach its peak on August 10 when pilgrims are expected to climb Mount Arafah.
Fielding questions from journalists on Friday, Tanko said more pilgrims were on transit from Jeddah and Madinah to Makkah to take part in the rites.
He said about 150 buildings (hotels) had been secured by the states to house the pilgrims in Makkah.

He said NAHCON only supervised the process involved in getting the hotels at reasonable prices unlike in Madinah where they were fully responsible for the accommodationaccommodation of all pilgrims.

Tanko urged the pilgrims to consider what they ate to avoid challenges, noting that anyone who missed Arafah had not performed Hajj (pilgrimage).
He also told the pilgrims to acquire knowledge about pilgrimage, adding that scholars were brought to guide them in order to achieve acceptable Hajj.

The NAHCON chief said, “Pilgrims should know what to do at every point. They should know the dos and don’ts of Hajj.”
He also advised them to respect the laws of the land and the rules guiding Hajj, as well as avoid dealing in prohibited items in Saudi Arabia.

To cater for the health of the pilgrims, Tanko added that NAHCON had established two major clinics and three sub-clinics in areas where the country had a huge concentrationconcentration of the guests of Allah in Makkah to prevent them from trekking before getting care.

Investment / Re: Forget Forbes Billionaires List, Here Are The Real World’s Richest People by damilogogle(m): 6:02pm On Aug 02, 2019
Mikora:
So you know pass Forbes abi?

I'm here bro if you can argue with facts
Investment / Forget Forbes Billionaires List, Here Are The Real World’s Richest People by damilogogle(m): 3:49pm On Aug 02, 2019
A list of the world’s richest people has been released by Forbes again (yawn), and what a surprise it’s a mix of the usual suspects. While I enjoy gazing at weird close-ups of Mr. Bezos and Mr. Zuckerberg as much as the next man, there are much more exciting things to do. Firstly, if you want to look at the world’s conventionally richest man then google William Gates III, because old Bill is giving it away as fast as he can and is still 2nd on Forbes’ list. Adjusted for inflation he was also considerably wealthier than the Amazon boss at his peak, but I digress.

For the majority of the list, and especially the tech billionaires, their wealth is tied to the transitory value of their shares. Given that most of them couldn’t even sell them all if they wanted to , it makes Forbes list quite redundant in practice. Today let’s do something much more fun and look at the real wealthiest people on the planet who have access to cash, can spend it aggressively and don’t have to worry about paying income or capital gains. Starting with the rocket man himself.

5. Kim Jong Un-North Korean GDP+ Crypto Stash+Smuggling

Yes, that’s right, the world’s most notorious dictator presides over one of the world’s
poorest nations , but his personal situation is entirely different. As CCN reported recently , the North Korean leader is sitting on a massive stockpile of Cryptocurrency. At the market peak, this could have been worth many billions of Dollars but even today values at $650 million. This is only the Crypto he has stolen too! Who knows how much mining has been going on as there have been signs of activity from Pyongyang generating digital currency for a while.

Next, let’s look at official data as the GDP estimate for North Korea was around $30 billion. Bearing in mind that this man is absolutely 100% the owner of everything in his country, it makes more sense to look at his wealth and that of the country as one figure. Forbes made Kylie Jenner a billionaire by valuing her company at $900 million, so I’m just following their playbook here.

NK’s spending on nuclear weapons is estimated to be as high as $3 billion. Therefore we are supposed to believe they spend 1/5 of their yearly product on nukes alone. Of course not! North Korea operates one of the world’s biggest smuggling rings. We are talking meth, counterfeit money, weapons . You name it, and Pyongyang has its hands in it.

Un Could Get Even Richer According to Trump
Because of Un’s complete control of his country and the fact that foreign aid mostly pays to feed his people, the Dictator can lay claim to all the cash. I’m giving him the entire GDP plus $5 billion for smuggling and his Crypto bag and taking off a chunk for his nuclear aspirations. If you think my approach is too loose, don’t think Forbes is any better, ask President Trump . Trump is also bullish that the brutal dictator could become even wealthier if he plays ball.

4. Hassanal Bolkiah (Sultan of Brunei)-Oil, Gas, Cars, and Oil

Next on the list is a Sultan. His Royal Highness is a bit different from Kim Jong because he operates legitimately on the world stage. His tiny nation the size of Delaware pumps out enough Oil and Gas to make them one of the most significant fuel producing countries in the world. Who benefits from this? Well, the man who is Minister of Defence, Finance and Head of the Military. Google his net worth, and Forbes will probably say $20 billion. This is ridiculously low.

Firstly, his car collection alone is rumored to be worth $4 billion. Take into account that most of the Oil money flows into his pocket every year and the consensus estimate seems to assume that he isn’t saving any money at all. Let’s face it, the Sultan probably doesn’t pay much income tax, and if he does, I can guess who’s head of the IRS.

3. Mohammad bin Salman (Saudi Crown Prince) – $1 Trillion Dollar Man

The de-facto boss of one of the world’s wealthiest nations, the Crown Prince’s power has been on the rise for the last few years. Consensus estimates give him an approximately $20 billion slice of the more than $1.4 Trillion fortune. Wait. What? The guy who locked up nearly every wealthy and influential person in his country is only worth a few percents of those assets? With vast oil wealth and an increasingly firm grip on the throne, MBS has the power to designate money where and when he wants to.

If Aramco ever goes public, we might have a more formal way of valuing him. For now, I’m calling it $1 trillion and leaving $400 billion for the rest of House Saudi to fight over.

2. Vladimir Putin- Mother Russia’s Bounty

Putin is worth $1.6 Trillion dollars. Ok, that estimate is high. It’s Russia’s entire GDP . But I’m taking it from the man himself here. Look at this quote from exiled Russian banker Sergei Pugachev,

“Everything that belongs to the territory of the Russian Federation Putin considers to be his. Any attempt to calculate [Putin’s net worth] won’t succeed. He’s the richest person in the world until he leaves power.”

When Communism falls, there is typically a vacuum of ownership because the state officially owned everything before its demise. What Putin has done is allow everyone else to scramble for ownership of Russia’s vast energy reserves while he realized controlling the Kremlin meant he controlled them , no matter how rich they got.

Clearly, he doesn’t have access to all of the money at one time but again following Forbe’s Kylie Jenner approach I can add Putin’s ownership of his business into the valuation. Putin is Russia. Until that changes, he’s a trillionaire.
Putin’s control of Russia is absolute after decades in power.

1.The Queen of England – Priceless

Officially the UK monarchy does an exceptional job of keeping its wealth estimates down. For political reasons the Windsors and their modern predecessors have based their public relations mantra around avoiding the limelight when it comes to their wealth.

Forbes reckons they are only worth
$88 billion. This would make the House of Saudi considerably more wealthy, understandable given their greater control over Saudi Arabia.

But what if I told you that her Majesty is the legal owner and sovereign head of Canada, Australia and the UK? Given the staggering amount of land alone that technically belongs to the crown, the wealth is mind-boggling. This NewsStatesMan America article best sums it up,

If the Queen could convert her landholdings into cash, she would not only be the richest individual on earth, but also the richest person who has ever lived. Another way she could achieve that, however, is by turning upside down the 13 tax havens of which she is both ruler and owner and shaking the cash out of them.

Spoils of War Further Enrich The Queen

Practically every room of the Queen’s castles and palaces around the UK are filled with priceless relics from the former empire. Great Britain controlled most of the planet at one point and you don’t rule for many years without accumulating a few treasures.

The Crown Jewels themselves are worth a few billion, but it’s the items you don’t see that could be worth even more. Don’t forget the UK had most of the Middle East under a protectorate at one point.

The gifts from the leaders who were preserved by British rule would have been outrageous, and likely sit in dusty vaults lest they create a political issue.

The fact that a lot of the treasures were stolen in many nations eyes is irrelevant for our list. Kim Jong Un probably has some of my Bitcoin at this point, but I still gave him a spot. While practically speaking, the Queen’s access to this wealth would be almost impossible, QE2 is still the owner, ruler, and custodian of all this by law . Given that we adhere to the rule of law, Queen Elizabeth wins by a technical knockout.

“We’ve got to have rules and obey them. After all, we’re not savages. We’re English”- William Golding – Lord of the Flies

Fifa says it has made the decision following the “astounding success” of this summer’s World Cup in France.

Nine countries are expected to submit bids to host the tournament when the process opens on 4 October this year.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino says the aim is to “keep the momentum going and take concrete steps to foster the growth of women’s football”.

“The expansion reaches far beyond the eight additional participating teams: it means that, from now on, dozens more member associations will organise their women’s football programme knowing they have a realistic chance of qualifying,” he added.

“The Women’s World Cup is the most powerful trigger for the professionalisation of the women’s game, but it comes just once every four years and is only the top of a much greater pyramid.

“In the meantime, we all have a duty to do the groundwork and strengthen women’s football development infrastructure across all confederations.”

Politics / There’ S A Sitting President In Nigeria ” , APC Reminds Atiku (press Statement ) by damilogogle(m): 9:43am On Jul 31, 2019
The All Progressives Congress (APC) strongly condemns the 2019 presidential candidate of the opposition party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar who has now made it a pastime to make public statements on issues, which constitutionally should be reserved for the duly elected head of government or his designees.

As a Party, we would have thought that Atiku who in the past occupied such high office as the country’s vice president would clearly understand the workings of government, particularly as it bothers on national security, foreign policy and our international engagement.

We have noted Alh. Atiku’s incessant habits of releasing statements on public issues as if he were an alternative President of this country and with a clear intention to undermine President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC-led government.

In recent times, Atiku has demonstrated lack of regard for the sovereignty of the office of the President and Nigerian government through condescending statements.

He has made several of such statements regarding the activities of the Nigerian military, issues of national security, and international relations.
The latest of such statements is the one he made on the emergence of Boris Johnson as Prime Minister of Britain.

Even when our duly elected President, who has the responsibility of making an official statement on such matter, has made the position of our country known. We note with serious concern that Atiku has been throwing himself around as a shadow President of Nigeria.

We would like to state clearly that such position could only be found under the parliamentary system; it does not exist under the Presidential system of government that we practice in Nigeria.
Atiku, like every Nigerian citizen, should understand that being a candidate for an elective office, including that of the President, does not confer on him a sovereign status.

Atiku continuous portrayal of himself as a shadow President under our system borders on felony and makes him a patent impostor.

There can only be one democratically elected and legitimate government at a time in this country. That clearly is the administration of Buhari
It is important to remind Atiku that issues of national security, foreign policy and international engagements are not matters to be exploited to achieve mischievous political ends.

We reiterate that Alh. Atiku has lost the 2019 presidential election and it would be unhelpful to him to continue to make a mockery of our country. We expect Atiku to quickly address himself to the stark reality of his loss and move on. Our laws are clear on all acts of criminalities, in this case, a clear case of felony.

Nigerians expect that the enforcement of relevant laws should apply to every Nigerian, irrespective of class and status.
This government would not be found wanting where it is required to take decisive actions.

Politics / Tinubu Requests Employment Slots From Fashola During His Screening by damilogogle(m): 10:38am On Jul 30, 2019
Senator Oluremi Tinubu Monday requested for employment slots for members of her constituency from Babatunde Raji Fashola during his ministerial screening at the Senate.

“Remember in your first tenure, I did not get the opportunity to get some of my constituents employed,”

Remi Tinubu told Fashola, who served as power, works and housing minister during President Muhammadu Buhari’s first term.

“When you get there this time around, remember that we senators have our constituents who ask us for employment.”
She asked Fashola to include employment for members of her constituency in his agenda after confirmation as a minister.

“We all need slots for employment for our constituents,”

Tinubu said.

Tinubu and other lawmakers quizzed Fashola on his achievements at the three ministeries oversaw from 2015 till 2019.
Fashola’s two-hour of answering the Senators marked the resumption of the ministerial nominees screening by the Nigerian Senate.

Nigerian Senate had screened 31 out of the 43 persons nominated for ministerial appointments by President Muhammadu Buhari. The Senate commenced the screening on Tuesday, July 24.

The nominees scheduled for the screening on Monday included Geoffrey Onyema (Enugu State), Maryam Katagum (Bauchi State), Clement Agba (Edo) and Suleiman Adamu (Jigawa State).

Others are Goddy Jeddy-Agba (Cross River), Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Sen. Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara), Dr. Muhammadu Mahmoud (Kaduna State) and Babatunde Fashola (Lagos State).

Senate president Ahmad Lawan said Sabo Nanunu (Kano State), Saleh Mamman (Taraba) and Lai Mohammed (Kwara) will be screened on Tuesday.

Politics / Aregbesola Gave Me His Monthly Salary To Contest For Chairmanship – Sen Abbo by damilogogle(m): 10:28am On Jul 30, 2019
At the ongoing ministerial screening at the national assembly, the senator representing Adamawa North, Monday chronically recounted how Rauf Aregbesola, the then governor of Osun State, gave him (Abbo), his monthly salary to contest for the chairmanship position in his hometown.

Senator Elisha Abbo Abbo comically fumbled with the story, noting that Aregbesola whom he described as a kind, detribalized and honest Nigerian, should take a bow and go.
His words, “I want to join my colleagues from Osun and the entire south-west to extol the virtue of this great Nigerian,” he said.

“I remember in 2012 when I contested for the chairmanship of my local government as a very tiny young man; I visited you in GRA, Ikeja in your house. I never knew you and you asked me to come in and I explained my problems and you told me to come to the government house and meet you.
“When I got there, I thought I would stay there for three days without seeing you. I filled a form, you saw my name and ushered me into your office upstairs and you gave me the whole of your salary that month to go to Adamawa and contest the election.

“Today, to the grace of God, I am one of the people confirming your nomination. I want to enjoin my colleagues to please allow this destabilised, honest Nigerian to take a bow and go and also ask of Mr. President of Nigeria to give you a very big ministry. God bless you, sir.”

Crime / Our Protests Would Not Stop Until El -zakzaky Is Freed ’ – Shiites by damilogogle(m): 2:10pm On Jul 29, 2019
A Nigerian Shiite group on Sunday condemned a court order that allows the government to ban it on “terrorism” grounds after a spate of deadly protests in the capital.

At least six protesters, a trainee journalist and a senior police officer were killed on Monday when violence flared during a march by the Islamic Movement of Nigeria to demand the release of its leader Ibrahim Zakzaky.
It was reported on Saturday that a court in Abuja had granted an order permitting the government to label the IMN’s activities “terrorism and illegality”.
The authorities need to publish the order in the state gazette and two newspapers for it to come into force.

Court and justice ministry sources confirmed the authenticity of the order. The government did not comment officially.
At a news conference in Abuja on Sunday, senior IMN official Yahiya Dahiru condemned the move as a “dangerous development”.
“You can never stop an ideology, you can never stop an idea, you can never stop our religion,” he said, insisting protests would not stop until Zakzaky was freed.

Zakzaky was detained after violence during a religious procession in December 2015. Rights groups say some 350 mostly unarmed Shiite marchers were killed by the Nigerian army.
In recent months there have been repeated clashes during almost daily marches by the IMN in the capital as concerns rise over Zakzaky’s health.
In October, the IMN and human rights groups said more than 40 people were killed when the security forces opened fire.

The Nigerian police this week vowed to crackdown on “violent protests” by the group, with a heavy security presence visible across the capital city.
Zakzaky and his consort Zeenah Ibrahim get been in charge notwithstanding the centralized elevated date ordering his publish in 2016.

The regime refused and filed unsullied criminal charges, together with liable killing that is liable to be punished by death.
The IMN, which emerged as a scholar interest group in the later than usual 1970s, was inspired by the Islamic revolution in Iran, and has tight ties in the Shiite Islamic country.

Crime / Leah Sharibu Caused Her Own Death – Stephanie Jane Explains by damilogogle(m): 1:51pm On Jul 29, 2019
Certified Anatomist, Stephanie Jane claims that Leah Sharibu who was allegedly killed by terrorist Islamic sect, Boko Haram caused her own death.

In a series of tweet, the social media user explains how Leah Sharibu caused her own death.

She wrote;

Leah Sharibu caused her own death. Had it been she denounced this her “Jesus” like the other girls did, she would have been freed since. If Peter could deny jesus three good times, then who am i not to do so? Peter denied jesus out of fear but later asked for forgiveness.

Peter’s scenario is even worse than Leah’s own. Peter was a man who saw the marvellous miracles jesus performed. Jesus told peter ahead of time that he would deny him. Peter was informed b4 it happened.Peter had time to get prepared yet he denied jesus thrice when he saw death.

Christians always hate the truth. Peter consciously and intentionally denied your Jesus three good times. He later begged for forgiveness. Peter used his brain. Is peter in heaven or hell?

All what i see in the comments are insults and threats. That shows you how gullible and insecure Christians are. They cant even come up with a rational or biblical explanation as to why peter denied jesus.. They cant argue with me constructively.

Please im not in anyway mocking Leah Sharibu. She was just an innocent girl brainwashed by the double-standard christians doctrines. May her soul rest in peace.

I also blame the government for failing to protect her citizen. The government has the greater blame in Leah’s death but leah should have put herself in a better situation to freedom by denying her jesus like the other girls did and they were freed.

Peter's scenario is even worse than Leah's own. Peter was a man who saw the marvellous miracles jesus performed. Jesus told peter ahead of time that he would deny him. Peter was informed b4 it happened.Peter had time to get prepared yet he denied jesus thrice when he saw death.
