Reality TV star, Mercy Eke has told her boyfriend, Ike Onyema that she desires something new during her birthday party which held yesterday in Lagos.

The party which was graced by many celebrities yesterday was the talk of the town and trends across diverse social media platforms.

At some point, it was Ike’s turn to make a speech as Mercy Eke’s boyfriend and when he stood up, he read a wonderful short speech from his iPhone.

While Ike was still showering her with beautiful words, Mercy briefly interrupted, “I want something new”, she said.

Hearing her, Ike who probably understood the angle she was coming from gave a wild smile and continued with his speech.

Reacting to the video on social media, fans guessed she was probably expecting him to pop the “will you marry me” question.

Celebrity blogger Linda Ikeji has broken the internet on her 40th birthday as she celebrates with 80 pairs of shoes.

Taking to her Instagram, the mother of 1 wrote that she initially planned to celebrate with 40 pairs of designer shoes, but the shopping spree wouldn't stop and she ended up settling for 85 pairs, with 5 pairs yet to be delivered.

She further revealed that she bought the entire pairs at a time.

She wrote:

OK, let's do this! Hehe. Surrounded by my birthday present from myself to myself. I was going to buy 40 designer shoes to celebrate turning 40 and then I started shopping and couldn't stop! ��. Too many beautiful shoes to select from so I ended up buying 85 pairs...��. (80 in the pic, 5 on da way). And yes, I bought all of them at the same gaddam time! ��. Who does that? ��, ME, that's who! ���.

Popular Nigerian self-acclaimed relationship expert Joro Olumofin has written the US Department of States to deport blogger Tunde Ednut from America.

According to the love doctor, who was represented by his legal advises, Tunde Ednut is an illegal immigrant in the United States, whose Visa has since expired.

Joro Olumofin is seeking justice for an alleged publication made on him by the blogger, whom he accused of publishing false reports on his activities on social media.

Nigerian Singer, Naira Marley reacted to the recent viral face photo of a woman many people believed behind the popular social media blog, Instablog 9ja.

The young woman unintentionally went live on Instagram and Nigerians were quick to capture her face during the short live session.

Reacting to this, Naira Marley assured her of her safety, saying nothing will happen to her as all the threats are mere empty threats.

However, he also advised her to get a bodyguard to move with her, just in case.

A Nigerian man identified as Anyi Obi who is an Associate Professor in a Cyprus University, has taken to social media to reveal how he attained such height in a foreign institution.

The young scholar revealed that he sat before a Jury of five(5) full Professors to prove his worth and also added that he is the first Nigerian Associate Professor of Construction Technology and the youngest in Africa.

Obi recalled how a prophet boldly told him that he will never achieve anything academically but should go into business. He affirmed that he made a promise to himself to upturn the negative prophecy spoken over him when he was just eight ( years old.

Today I gained my academic Promotion as an Associate Professor of Construction Technology from The American University Cyprus. I sat before a Jury of five(5) full Professors and proved my worth. It has been a very short Journey academically yet very promising with great achievements. Knowing that I received my Doctorate just under 4 years ago makes this special. I made a promise to myself to upturn a negative prophecy spoken over me when I was eight(years.

A prophet boldly declared that I will never achieve anything academically rather I should look into doing business. I did look into business but I also choose to pursue one thing I always loved- Teaching and Learning irrespective of what a prophet said. I did not allow a prophecy take my dreams and aspirations away. I have gone ahead to pioneer a software that is endorsed in the UK and Europe.

Yes, you have the power to alter any prophecy on your life. Let me not forget to tell you that I am the first Associate Professor in this field of a Nigerian decent and the youngest in Africa. I chose to become what I saw and not what anyone saw, in a nutshell – It is your Life. Many of you reading this, I implore you never to succumb to negative words no matter from whose mouth it is coming from, stop being victims of strange and negative utterances. It takes determination, zeal and the Grace of God. I am doing it and Yes, you can. God made us with unrestrained possibilities, don’t let whatever anyone saw stop you.
