A video of a Nigerian lady turning down the proposal of her boyfriend has since gone viral.

The lover man had gathered his friends and family to witness the moment he would ask for his girlfriend's hand in marriage. In the video making the rounds on social media, the man is seen on his knees as he asked her to marry him.

The lady, however, vehemently refused to accept his ring. It is not known where the incident happened, however it occured on Wednesday August 5.

A woman in the US had a close shave while trying to outrun a bison and finally escaped an attack by pretending to be dead.

A video of the incident, which took place at the Yellowstone National Park, shows a bison suddenly charging towards two women. The duo start to run but suddenly one of them trips and falls on the ground.

The people in the area yelled and told the woman to play dead in order to escape the rampaging bison. Fortunately, the trick worked and the bison can be seen walking away from the woman.

A day after a catastrophic explosion rocked the Lebanese capital of Beirut, reports of a major fire are now coming to light from Ajman in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The massive fire engulfed the fruits and vegetable market in Ajman's new industrial area. Fire engines have been rushed to the spot and civil defence teams have diverted traffic until the blaze can be brought under control.

The fire reportedly broke out at around 6.30 pm.

Governor Babajide Sanwoolu-Olu of Lagos has ordered that churches and mosques in the state to reopen from 7 August.

He said this during his weekly press briefing in Covid-19 today, 1 August.

While mosques will be reopened next week Friday, the governor said churches will follow suit on Sunday, August 9th, and they are to operate 50% of their capacity.

According to him, religious leaders must make available hand sanitisers, handheld thermometer checks, adding that the state government will ensure that social distancing is maintained.

Moreover, he has increased the number in a gathering from 20 to 50 people at a time.

An unidentified Ghanaian lady has been arrested for killing her twin babies over her inability to feed them.

In a video circulating on social media, the woman, who is believed to hail from the Ga community reportedly killed the babies because her husband gives her GHC 20 a week which according to her, is not enough to take care of herself and the children.

According to her, she can’t do anything with such amount of money with the twins with her also. The only option she had was to kill the innocent kids to free herself from the hardship and pain she was going through.

There was uproar at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, on Wednesday after two airplanes collided at the international wing of the airport.

An Airbus A330-243 owned by Middle East Airlines with registration number OD-MEA, ran into a Boeing 777 airplane with registration number TC-LJC operated by Turkish Airlines.

Sources at the airport said the Turkish cargo flight was parked at the international airport apron when the Middle East airbus ran into it.

The Turkish cargo flight was parked at the tarmac when the MEA airbus ran into it l, ripping off part of the empennage of the aircraft.

“The MEA flight was taxiing when it happened,” the source said.

The MEA airbus, which had been boarding passengers since 12:00pm, had to disembark every passenger on board

Another source at the scene of the incident said the Middle East Airline and others had been carrying out commercial operations under the disguise of evacuation flights.

"These people have been running commercial flights under the disguise of evacuation. They come to this country at least three times a week.

"The MEA and even Turkish Airlines and others have been carrying out commercial operations," the source added.
