tunshe: Islamophobia!
It could have been better stated that all immigrants must learn English.
Whether they learn English or not, a devilish mind will always heed to the call of Devils.
It has nothing to do with Islam, perhaps he meant Arabs.
Statement like this isn't different from that of Donald trump, hence, UK government has no justification debating on his stance.
Ignorance, intolerance and religious sentiments are the symptoms of those who judge the action of a few on a multitude.
Islam is peace, it takes objectivity to accept. Stop contradicting yourself and confusing people. |

ChristStriker: From Dennis Mernyi, Abuja
NIGERIA’S 36 states can now individually explore and exploit mineral deposits in their domains, provided they go about the exercise in manners that will not interfere with locations already given to other stakeholders, Mines and Steel Development minister, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has disclosed.
Fayemi, while acknowledging that the Federal Government enjoys exclusive rights to mine minerals across the country, noted that the constitution encourages states to either set up their own investment corporations or partner private investors to exploit minerals in their domains.
He disclosed this in Abuja, while playing host to the Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Wale Oluwo, who led a team from the state to make some requests before the Federal Government in respect of its minerals resources.
The commissioner identified the minerals in Lagos to include: limestone, silica, clay and a few other resources which abound in large commercial quantities in the country’s largest industrial hub.
According to him, “We estimate that we have limestone in the region of 12 million metric tonnes around the Epe area. We also estimate that we have silica sand of up to 200 billion cubic metric tonnes around the Ibeju-Lekki area. And the third one, which is clay, is about 180 billion cubic metric tonnes around the Lagos East.
“We’ve been carrying out various geological surveys, both aerial and on the ground, and we believe that data is key. So, when you are in a position to make that decision as to gathering data with respect to where solid minerals can be identified, we are assuring you that in Lagos, we will put our resources behind your efforts.”

If this news is really true, then I will strongly recommend some Psychiatric and spiritual checks for people aspiring for any leadership post in Nigeria if possible. This level of stealing is more than "I just want to be rich". This is real madness and possibly "demonic". What would they do with that kind of money in their life time? Even if they eat raw currencies on a daily basis, would they finish that? This really makes nothing of rationality. |

You actually don't need a prophet for anything. Use your head instead. Economic problems and suffering have turned everyone to Anger Management "prospect" in Nigeria. Abeg take am easy o! |

Proverbs 1:23-33: " Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them" (KJV) |

njikoamaka: And this is not a good precedent he has just set. People will prefer to escape now than being taken to a kangaroo and biased court where even I the court grants orders, there is 99% chances of none compliant.
His major financier Amaechi, refused to appear before a panel of enquiry set up by Wike, and today he is rewarded.
Here we have cases were court will grant bail, and the security operatives will ambush the suspect right outside the court for another charges. If you were too young in 1984 to understand what happened or wasn't even born then, be happy, you haven't missed anything as history is repeating itself. I must say though that I "liked" the War Against Indiscipline (WAI) aspect of his rule then, but using the same force without regard to the Rule of Law now does not seem right to me as we are in a democracy. Or are we? In all, I just want Nigeria to be a better country. That I don't live there doesn't matter, as people living there including my extended family members are human beings and they deserve a good life. I pray the new year brings a renewed hope for the country and her future. |

EggovinMma:

If there's something that gives me joy in life, it's when I help in in my little way. Givers absolutely never lack.Life is beautiful when we help those around us . Sometimes I always winder what it will be like to have millions in my account, I may not even be happy, There remains a void in my heart when I see people living in abject poverty.
I have a true story to tell. I happened to meet a young girl if about 12 while in school. I came home from lectures to see her moving around my hostel. I asked why she was there and she told me she needed to see one of my hostel mates who obviously is not around. From the disappointment on her face, I asked her if everything was fine. She narrated to me a story about how hungry her family was, and the fact that her mom sent her out to borrow money from my mate. I asked her to take me to her mother. It was an uncompleted building and I didn't know how somebody can live in that kind of place with grasses everywhere. I feared for snake bites as I approached the mother.I gave her quite a fairly good sum and told her not to return it . The way she thanked me sent a deep knife down my spine.I wish she never did, it made it even unbearable because it broke my heart even more As I was living the compound in a haste for fear of snakes, a iron rod dragged my leg, almost ripping off the last toe on my left feet. This woman and her daughter didn't know what to do, at some point, I noticed they were begin to feel bad, I had to hide the deep pains I was feeling. The blood trailed me back to the hostel. It was a deep wound and so I had to visit the hospital to take injections and dressings of course. For over a month, I limped. But I have no regrets. When i look at the scar on my last toe, I remember that sometimes we may get in trouble for trying to help somebody, but we must also remember that it's pays to have a beautiful mind, it soothes the soul. Thank you for sharing this experience. It actually answered a concern I presented to God yesterday on my way to work. |
