PoliticsRe: Gov. Ortom Under Fire For Linking Attacks In Benue State To His Senatorial Loss by DanAugust2021: 3:49pm On Apr 08, 2023
By the time this man leaves office, a lot of things will be brought to the fore. I rest my case for now, let's see what happens in the next 3 months.

Wife Killed Her Husband Cause He Couldn’t Pay Their Kids School Fees

I lost a friend last night cause he couldn’t afford the school fees for his 2 daughters and he committed suicide.

Worst part of the story is that his wife had already paid the fees but informed the school to keep asking her husband so she could get a refund Gosh!

Don’t you think the lady killed her husband indirectly?
Why are women so wicked and heartless?
Your headline is misleading.

PoliticsRe: States With Increased Domestic Debt In SEVEN Years (dec 2015 - Dec 2022) by DanAugust2021: 2:01pm On Apr 04, 2023
LegendHero:
Nigerians need lot of education. Not all debt are bad.

You have to check the indices for each state and see what they spend the debt on. That’s how you measure progress.

It will be hard to function without debt, except if you just want to be paying salaries alone and not expand infrastructure and finance base.
That's the issue. Most of the states have borrowed and still have refused to pay salaries, pensions and gratuities, talk more of infrastructure.

His deposit duh!! What else could it be?

It's the same concept.

You Nigerians dont understand that you can be assertive and firm without being rude.

The OP's case is civil, not criminal. No police officers. You don't even know what you're talking about.
It is you that spoke about the police not being rude so as to get evidence from the culprit/ scammer. It's obvious you think the case is in Nigeria where elders will come and start scolding the OP for being "rude" to his elder. Even in Nigeria that things don't work, I can assure you that the rude stuff you are stressing will not hold water. In the documentaries you said you watched, when someone is rude to his debtor, does he forfeit the debt owed?
TravelRe: My Nasty Experience With Nigerian In New Jersey by DanAugust2021: 6:29pm On Apr 01, 2023
1Sharon:
Do you know what country I'm in?

Have you ever watched crime documentaries before? Even detectives know not to get rude to rape and murder suspects at the start.
In interviews they ease them into it. And they eventually snitch and implicate themselves. They pretend to be their friend and make them comfortable to open up.

Same concept here. Same concept with kidnappers and their victims. Complementing and pretending to befriend your attacker helps keep you alive.

Being rude to that thief of a landlady is understandable. But it's just gonna give her an avenue to refuse refunding him.

I know it's hard to understand because nigerians are easily led their instincts and emotions.
Avenue to refuse refunding him for what? The scenario you painted is quite different from the case of the OP. There's enough evidence the OP can use against her, hence no police officer will ' befriend ' her to get evidence.
TravelRe: My Nasty Experience With Nigerian In New Jersey by DanAugust2021: 6:08pm On Apr 01, 2023
1Sharon:
You're absolutely wrong. Rudeness is will make them get defensive and use that as their shield.

Why do you think friends often fall out after money is lent? Same concept.

The lender gets frustrated and gets rude. And the debtor clings onto that

"Since you are being rude to me, you won't be getting your money"
E be like say you think say na naija the thing happen. Na Amerika e happen o.

This your gibberish no make sense at all. She has to refund all of the money plus time wasted. If OP carry her go court, come prove say him incur extra charges plus she waste him time, him go cash out from her.

Why is Abia State immune from the activities of these sponsored unknown gunmen? Nnamdi Kanu is from Abia State, IPOB protested in November and even women blocked roads this December to protest Nnamdi Kanu continued detention, and yet soldiers/policemen killed nobody and the protests were peaceful. Do it in any other State in Nigeria and see blood flow on the Streets.

The Governor understands his people, spoke with Security agencies, and things working out perfectly for the peace the citizens enjoy. Give it to Governor Ikpeazu on this one. He congratulated Alex Otti and advised PDP to shelve challenging Alex Otti's victory in court.

Destabilizing the State is not one of Ikpeazu's characteristics.

FamilyRe: Should I Allow My Mother-in-law In Our Home? I Need Advice by DanAugust2021: 8:18pm On Mar 29, 2023
ozalogbo:
I am the first child of my mother, and I have two younger male siblings. I am doing well financially. My wife is the last of four children in her family. My dad died when I was still in the university, and this affected my mum.

However, as she aged, her health waned. She was a retired teacher. My brothers are not in the country. Both of them are in Europe. I wanted to have my mother stay with me in her later years because of her health and loneliness but my wife did not want it.

Whenever she was ill and I brought her home to be with us, my wife was usually hostile, especially if my mum had stayed beyond a week. She did not hid her disapproval, and this caused problems in the marriage. People advised that I should send my mum away and pay someone to live with her and take care of her. They said that marriage was between a man and his wife, not between a man, his wife, and his mother. I did and peace returned. Eventually my mum passed on after a few years.

Along the line, my father in law also died. And down the line, my mother in law's health began to deteriorate. We live in the same town. Among my wife's siblings she is the only one doing quite well. Now there are suggestions that the mother should come and live with us so that my wife can give her proper care. I believe that her living with us and seeing her grandchildren will help her. And indeed i have no problem accepting her, but when i remember the treatment my wife gave to my mum, there is a strong revulsion, in fact, anger in me. I shared with a friend, and he advised i forgive my wife, but the revulsion is so strong that i would feel cheated if i agreed.

What do you guys think. She reminded me then that marriage was between a man and his wife only. Shouldn't this also apply to my wife now?
Was your mother in-law informed of your wife's action against your mum? If she knew, what was her reaction? Your late mum(may her soul rest in peace), is over there, watching to see how you will react, but I know she was not happy how she was denied the one last thing every parent wishes. I am not God, but I can assure you that, she would have lived longer if she had stayed around her grand children.

Missed by who, surely not Benue State indegenes. You can adopt and subsequently vote him as your senator in four years time. Benue State went agog when Ortom lost his senate seat, same thing happened when his anointed successor lost. Of course, we'll miss his lies, non-performance, wickedness etc.

Congratulations to benue state on the just concluded election especially Rev Fr.Alia who is now the governor-elect and we hope those who loose can accept it or go to court like we told LP after the presidential election.
The questions that have been perturbing my mind is who is going to be the first lady? Is he married already? Since he is a reverend father is he going to marry now that he is the governor to be in few months time? Does the law requires that the govnor must be married? If yes what are the implications? Will that hinder him from been the governor? Does the law allow a spinster to be the governor of a state ? What are the implications? For our learned lawyers in the house what do you say?
You should be more concerned about the people's wish for good governance and not about the first lady that's not even constitutional.
