On the other hand if the above scenario is not plausible because of BVN, instead of depositing it, since there are no new naira notes, I will just spend it .Why should I return them since there is no new naira notes and no deadline. Let continue to recirculate them, CBN want to scam us again. To get old or new notes you pay as high as 20%

Who told you the deadline for the deposit of old naira notes is 10th April? Na so una go carry fake news confuse innocent people. Where in PMB's speech was the time frame for the deposit of old naira notes increased? The seven days grace period for deposit of old naira notes elapses today (Note that the 7 days grace is in the CBN act). If you are able to generate the code before it's expiration today, you can go to any commercial bank and deposit your old notes.

They had ample time to deposit their old notes, but they chose to trust their governor instead of Central Bank. The seven days grace period wil elapse today, and whoever hasn't swapped or changed the old notes can relocate to Kaduna state, and all the other states that have accepted the old notes as legal tender.

I tell you. They've done it to test the electoral amendment as regards over voting. If the law is not properly interpreted by the appeal and supreme courts, and a fresh election ordered in the affected polling units, a lot of politicians will use it against their opponents. All they have to do is simply bribe Inec staff and make sure there's over voting in their opponent's stronghold, and gbam(from Kume's tribunal judgement), the elections in such polling units will be cancelled, rerun will not be conducted and the other person wins. Some people the interpret law in the opposite direction sha.

A lot of enlightened people in Benue state are voting candidates, not political parties. I have candidates I will vote for, across four political parties because they can deliver. I suppose every sane Nigerian should do same.

His push for direct primaries as a singular means of nominating party candidates was the best amendment, if it had sailed through. Nigerians did not reject it, election riggers did. Direct primaries will ensure the best candidates are nominated instead of the "cash and carry" delegates that normally sell the masses mandate to the highest bidder. I see Nigeria adopting the direct primaries as the only process of nominating party candidates soonest.
