Omoluabi16: If you are not ready to drop your maiden name, then remain in your father's house forever. Why are we Even discussing this? All this useless feminist who should be focusing on women emancipation and core issues like Rape, FGM and trafficking will be trying to prove what they are not. They think men are their biggest problem. Their wise mothers and Grandmothers got on peacefully and were fulfilled. Rubbish. This is the perfect description of who Nigerian Feminists are.... "Men Haters" |

Bracha: I don't think Nigeria has a middle class: i.e a middle class in the strict meaning of the word. Most of the people in that range here are just people one less paycheck away from poverty. In my opinion. Bros Bros, You're brutal oooo... , Let's just stick to the meaning in Nigerian way( higher and lower middle class) |

midnighter: Yes, i would say its a mixture of poor leadership, a culture of self-interest and greed, and an unstable economy. The economy point is an interesting one, because it crashed fairly recently but the bad behaviour was there previously. so it could be even more of an intrinsic problem
Onwards and upwards Well, until these problems are solved (which would be difficult to), we're in for a long thing..... |
Travel › Re: 6 Reasons Why Nigeria Is A Better Place To Live Than Foreign Country by DanDeeBoss(m): 8:51pm On Mar 15, 2019 |
midnighter: Life in general favours the wealthy or middle class, but societies that pride themselves on being refined put contingency measures in place to look after those who are less fortunate- or at least keep them alive, with food and shelter
Thats why its important that you mentioned infrastructure since basically all the problems we are facing right now are due to shoddy, outdated and corrupt social structures that cannot serve the people they were created for
I remember last year when "restructuring" was the watch-word. It was a good idea, but it petered out. That and "true federalism" @the bolded is What Nigeria and other African countries lack ,but then I think our leaders aren't ready to make things work, our economy isn't encouraging too....
About "restructuring".....haha, thank goodness you said it "petered" out..... |
Travel › Re: 6 Reasons Why Nigeria Is A Better Place To Live Than Foreign Country by DanDeeBoss(m): 8:18pm On Mar 15, 2019 |
midnighter: Infrastructure could be improved, life expectancy is terrible (but class-based), its comfortable if you have the money, employment is based too much on connections, but if one can get a decent job it removes other obstacles Then it's safe to say Nigeria favors the "middle class" and the "rich" only.... |
Travel › Re: 6 Reasons Why Nigeria Is A Better Place To Live Than Foreign Country by DanDeeBoss(m): 4:39pm On Mar 15, 2019 |
midnighter: Let me try
more secure extended family networks less emasculation of the male child- though we overdo it sometimes cheap and organic food almost no chance of a child being affected by gay/transgender agenda except for anomalies like bobrisky
i'll keep thinking Infrastructure?? Life expectancy?? Comfortability?? Employment?? |
