Ikemba Nnewi was the first graduate to join the NA. He was the first African to attend the prestigious Oxford University.

Ikemba shall be remembered forever for being among the greatest Africans. What he saw 40yrs ago is what people are crying about today. He fought a just war to send a message to the oppressors. UN has seen through what he fought for and have invited Biafran leaders.

Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu the man that saw tomorrow.

He did not see 10% of what Fela saw.

Umuahia may be considered for Biafra Capital if Biafra is achieved.

To achieve it u have to try much harder than u are doing now. I can't see the willpower being there; the pull of the naira is much stronger!

I took time today to research about this man and why many Igbos adore him...My interest was basically because i have recently been reading biographies and Nigerian political history.
Again, i am married to an Igbo woman i love dearly and despite being born long after the war considers this man Ojukwu a Hero.

I found out from various books written about him that he was a typical Igbo man who will not bow to any man. He also hated injustice and will not be silent when its before his eyes.

I was also astonished to discover that his father Loius was among the top 3 Richest Nigerians at the time. So what will make this man abandon such wealth, join the military and subsequently go to war. There has to be more.

I discovered that his mentors had an overwhelming influence on him while he was in Harvard.

His contemporaries could not handle his intelligence and arrogance.

The gradual regionalization of political parties that started as national parties painted a picture that Nigeria is not one but a British creation. AG was purely a western party, NCNC was Eastern by all ramifications. NPC was more northern like others accross the niger..Ojukwu, though being in the army saw a clear case of struggle for dominance and supremacy originating from the regions to the centre.
The political firmament of Nigeria took off with a picture of regional struggle for dominance and supremacy..
Ojukwu observed and began to plot. I began to research on how Ojukwu was able to establish the Biafran pound in 3 years and traded globally with it. Where was it printed, who designed it and more?..i am a curious researcher of history when am bored...permit me to inform you that the first batch of the Biafran pounds was printed and brought into Biafra before Ojukwu declared secession.

To be continued, i am typing with my phone and tired.

When did it become a virture to be arrogant?

They also know that he was equally fair to all sections of the country during his five year stewardship.

Even Jonathan knows he was not fair to South West and has reiterated it in regret. Unfortunately its too late to cry when the head is off!

Politics / Re: Femi Aribisala: 'Dear Buhari, You Cannot Fight Corruption With Corruption' by dandoki: 3:25pm On Apr 28, 2015
Aribisala and the PDP have been holding brief for evil since 1999 forgeting that the only condition necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. If by his tirade Aribisala is suggesting that the in coming administration that received its mandate on the platform of anti corruption should come in to do nothing, then he and his paymasters are up for a great shocker. Buhari knows he cannot defeat corruption with one magic wand. But should we not even thank God that we now have a president-elect that is putting the problem in the public domain and is getting set to tackle it? I'm confident that the war against corruptio in Nigeria wil be won one battle after another crushing one aribisala after another in the process.

These people are just haemorraging, their body and their blood is still hot. The election result came to them as a great shocker. Give them time they would cool down eventually and settle down to normal life if nobody looks their way. Its not easy to watch as power literally slips through your fingers, but then that's demcracy at work. They should be told they have another chance come 2019. However shold they insist on exiting, aure vois!!!

I said it. APC and their general is still full of hate for the likes of AIT and others who exposed Buhari for who he truly is: A senile, certificateless and clueless dictator grin

Well, I have bad news for Buhari: this is democracy, you can't use Decree 4 as a weapon to suppress AIT and others for telling the truth grin. Deal with it and stop acting like a child smiley

Just because we are in a democracy doesn't mean that all caution should be thrown overboard and make all sorts of libelous tirades the way ait did at the elections. Maturity and balanced reporting should always be a large part of the ethics of journalism. All thesame I advise the president-elect to overlook their unprofessionalism because they will keep regreting what they did.

PointB:
Unfortunately brute force might not be enough, being more literate would have helped!

Personally, I believe being semi-literate will be the major handicap of Buhari. Time will tell though.

Do you call GMB "semi-literate"? Are u more educated than him? A man that has attained the position he has in life can never be ranked as semi literate anywhere in the world. Infact letter-by-letter, word-by-word he would be ranked higher than someone brandishing a questionable phd who cannot even address his supporters to keep supporting him without refering to a prepared note. Its not the certificate you are carrying that matters but what is in your head and what you are capable of doing with it. Let's be clear about it. Education literally is what is left in you after you have forgotten all you learnt in school!!
