I had this case of chicken pox in my first semester first yr. Disgusting stuff. My mum nursed me back to health without being infected( I'm not sure she has suffered one before)

Even as a kid when I suffered from measles(poor me) she still wasn't infected even though we were always together


so I get to ask.. is it just my mum or are mothers equipped with some super-cool immunity to diseases?

the civil war was the darkest moment in Nigeria's history. But we bounced back...talk of a bad check. We won the nations cup(1980) qualified for the FIFA mundial (1994) and played a big role in stopping arpatheid hence ending western rule in Africa.1999 we returned to democracy.fast forward to 2014 we are d biggest economy in Africa. we conquered Ebola etc etc.

some folks may ask whether I'm a stranger in Nigeria,whether I haven't seen d corruption,unemployment, insecurity,etc. is it only on Nigeria? the problem that we r having in Nigeria is Nigerians.. we allow ethnic sentiments to becloud our judgements. there's this adage in Igbo that says "if we urinate together it foams" .this is analogous to d common cliche "united we stand....." ethnic diversity is a blessing...the north with its lands good for agriculture.. the yorubas with their intellects...the Igbo are naturally industrious and intelligent...the south south with their oil.. the middle belt with their good leaders like Gowon and David mark...combining all these gifts shouldn't vision2020 actually be vision2010 or vision2000? the US of A is a major world power ..it is a conglomerate of natives,English, dutch,arabs,blacks etc...they realised d potential in diversity and are tapping from it..today most Nigerians dream of going there

we can reproduce america in Nigeria...a nation greater than America even...let us look at our achievements up until now, tap ourselves on d back and say yes we can achieve a Nigeria of our dreams

let d Ebola case in Nigeria be an example,it was controlled through team work .Ask d army generals and football coaches, a united team fears no foe. ethnic sentiment is a bane to development.let's judge according to what u can offer and not because of kinship. and also an educated lot cannot be easily deceived.
