What is the direct implication of this so called rumourd "merging" on the DE admission especially into faculties and colleges whr fixed number of students are allowed. **putting in mind that the figure av been met from the already concluded direct entry admission**... HARDUBUY: Hmmm. i went to OAU (registrar'so DAA'S and admisions office) on thursday i.e 28/11/13. in respect of the admission list and i was told that it's on jamb site, i replied: i havent been admitted despite my grade. A man in the admision office asked who is chasing the admission on my behalf, i responded by saying no 1 but me. He also ask for the course i applied for, i said e/e. After which he directed me to rum 216. on getting there i checked the list for e/e applicant and saw my name with Q (qualified in front of it) and i ask why am yet to get d admisn, mr jeje replied that some list will be sent to jamb office by next week that i should check the site by friday since my name was qualified on the list he gave me. He then said you can go.
at this point it is better one has God or strong connection.
All i have is my ALLAH, in him i trust.
Note: d staff at rum 216 said the list is being released in batches. do all hope is not lost.

Akby: Y'all u need not to panic... There is what we call Jamb Merit list. With Jamb merit list, ur admission is automatic from Jamb and it usually come first before the school admits. After Jamb admission list comes school admission list. Was once a beneficiary of this framework. Was admitted to my polytechnic without doing post jamb or knowing anybody later I was told my name came out with Jamb merit list. To qualify for this, u must have passed ur exams with a distinction mark. Only A'level applicants can benefit from this merit list because there is a partnership between Nigeria and Cambridge so the result gets to Jamb first before getting to them. There Jamb can select the brainiacs among them and give them automatic admission. The highest point in A'level is 16points and the other guy dusted it that was why he was admitted automatically and also the 15points guy. That is it... If you are yet to see ur name, just relax and get a chilled Lacasera lol. For UI candidates on here, I'm going to admission office on monday to make enquiry about the list cos I too did DE to UniIbadan last year. Success y'all and please no panics. Ur names would be out this week all things being equal.

Those who had distinction in ond weren't admitted. So, wat would u say abt dat?

Qualcoms: ...mehn, guys, everything said about A'Level consideration in this year admission protocol is real...I mean very real...it cut across all faculties and departments...I was at my Electrical Engineering department last week and I can't deny dat I was not shown the admission list, after much pleading, I was opportuned to check my name... sincerely, it was in front of my name d cut off mark was made or should I call it cut off bar...I couldnt cry...just grabbed my head...despite Distinction....n I asked her what has happened, she told A'Level studnts were more considered, she said A'Level was like a cheat diz yr *apology, a reported speech*...dat, if they just av 'BBB' or 'BBC' it is enof for dem to get admisn....she just told me dat if d department request for more studnts, then I am d next, according to d list...I was just shaking my head...mehn...so help me God...I would av posted it all diz while, but I am just recovering from d shock...
