This is one of the issues that shows how shallow minded and hypocritical most Nigerians are.
We claim to be so religious yet we suffer and live in abject poverty.
We are all mostly ethno religious bigots.
And sad enough those that even call themselves Christians still can't find a common ground of faith.
I am a mix Bini/Yoruba .was born a Muslim but now a Christian and never for once in my life has it ever occurred to me that I must choose my future partner from a certain tribe religion or sect cos tho I am a Nigerian but I refuse to subscribe to that myopic ethno religious sentiment.
Back to the topic OP am sorry to say you and your girl are one of the problems of this country, both of you find it do difficult to free yourselves from the shackles of religious sentiments & to think of the fact that you both pray to the same God makes it a bigger shame.
Both of you need serious education and growing up to do.
Both of you should get married to your respective churches
