It's so saddening to see guys here watering down an average income for devs. If you're good at what you do, you should be raking in dollars not Naira. Entry-level/ junior devs earn between $65-120k per annum (divide that by 12 and multiply by 410).

However, you have to be on world's best or international standard before you can earn that, which is where most problems lies for Nigerians cos we like to cut corners

I strongly advise web developers to look beyond Nigeria and focus on the international market

Any good dev earning below 500k a month in Nigeria is just slaving away. With those skills you'd be making far more money working remotely.

3 pages of static website for 200k say wetin happen? Where guys are collecting as low as 80-100k for a dynamic website of 6 pages or more with database. The truth is as a web developer, you have to be very versatile and fluent with different programming languages to earn a mega buck.

Web dev as we see it has changed a lot. Basic page development has been taken over by automation. To be able to stay relevant you have to learn more stuff like e-commerce, business management systems etc

Look, don't wait to know everything. You go learn tire. Get the basics and move on to the next one. When you are working on projects you'll learn the rest as they come.

Matter of fact, web dev needs you to learn everyday while on the job because technologies are changing and updating at a rapid pace.

I haven't failed at anything. Matter of fact I'm not even into web dev. I do Android and iOS. So watch yourself with the hasty assumptions.

Full stack developer does both front end and back end.
Front end - HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT and other scripting languages.
Back end - Database systems: Mongo DB, Oracle DB, MySQL etc
Local hosting software like XAMP and the likes

I will advice that you focus on one for now and become very proficient in it.

It all depends on the type of project you're working on (demands from the client).
The quality of work required also.
Another factor is the increased number of developers available, you can charge $500 for a job and another developer will gladly take $200 for the same work.

Especially those cheap Indians on fiverr

People copy source codes and alter them a bit.

Web dev is saturated and watered down. Unless you are really good at what you do, and you work for top clients, then you'd be competing with all these bootcamp interns and copy and paste Indians.

In the 2000s, web devs made a lot of bucks just designing HTML CSS static pages. Not anymore.

Anyway, to the question. I'd say it depends on the project. But a project as basic as three pages of static website should be pegged at 200k.
