Instead of Atiku, an elder statesman and others to play politics, it would have been better for them to strategize on how to provide gas supply to AKK gas pipeline and crude oil to Kaduna Refinery from the Crude and Gas reserves in the North. I'm not from the south , let alone be an Ijaw . The ijaws are not bigger than Nigeria or the supreme Court . The Ijaws are not threatening the supreme Court, but the political class know what is playing ... In rivers , it is Wike vs Fubara , not Ijaw vs anybody ...the president is only concern for his re-election.
There is no way the RSHA can impeach Gov Fubara without the CJ of the state , who happens to be on the side of the Gov. , the Wike led RSHA tried to implicate her ,it failed , when they could not remove her without which no impeachment against the Gov ca be legal they decided to run it illegally by serving the Gov impeachment notice directly without the due process of notifying the CJ who then set up committee to verify the impeachable offence of which if the Gov is guilty , they would the proceed with the impeachment process as stipulated in the 1999 constitution, I guess this is wat the Ijaw people are against ...its a desperate act , we all saw it play , where the president had already sworn in an admin on rivers while the senate is yet to approve the proclamation, it's dangerous, and we also saw how the senate refused to follow due process in the voting pattern just to justify the president unconstitutional act ...
Personally, I gat no emotion or anything about the rivers issue , my only fear is that if Baba Tinubu do it today , and it stand , tomorrow aother president will do it , even more badly and unconditional...Nigerian politicians are very smart in taking every opportunity to satisfy their interest...most of us condemning it has nothing to do with rivers because we were not there when Wike and Fubara signed agreements , but what ever way the battle goes let it be constitutional...today u are supporting it , tomorrow you might be a Gov. , and a president will use same unconditionally act to suspend you. At the NAS, many APC members mostly from the core north were against the president unconstitutional act not because they support militancy , but because it is unconditional... GEJ decleared State of emergency in the north , but did it as stipulated in the constitution.
