I was denied yesterday. The stress was just too much. My interview was 7: 15 am, I got there 7 11 am. Then paid 1k to have my phone kept for me. After the whole screening. I was about to get interviewed, i was keeping a smiling face at first then it got to my turn then my heart started beating.
I was interviewed in windows 3 by a white man not to old. in his fifty's.
VO: Why do you want to study?
ME: My company has recently advised me to improve my cv to get promoted. *WRONG* : so you are telling the VO that the only reason yo I are going is just to improve your Cv??
VO: How did you hear about the school?
ME: My project supervisor during first degree advised me to further my studies in the school. His brother finished from there.
I also did my own research and found out they have a curriculum that fits into my line of interest.
(paused a bit and was typing very fast like a machine) *WRONG* : who is this? Don't you read transcript before going for interview?
VO: Have you traveled before?
ME: No, i have had not had any reason to, my education in taking out for the first time.
VO: Are you married?
ME; No
VO; Do you have children?
ME : No
VO: Who is your sponsor?
ME : My dad
VO: What does he do?
ME: He is a private successful business man and he imports equipment into Nigeria and he is also a private contractor.

You don't even know me, I only asked a question which I expect matured response, someone even volunteered to do a mock interview for me over the phone today after sharing my transcript, and it was helpful + his words of encouragement ,this is a guy like you on this page, if I don't get it today I can def get it tomorow for sure so why judge that am being a mess of myself? We all have made mistakes in the past please don't judge anyone negatively because you don't know what they are passing through , I ll be posting my approved visa transcript soon, no one is a failure until they give up being one. They usually have two foods:one veg and one non veg. And they give you want. I drank enough Juice and cola to compensate their nonsense food. There are thousands of movies to watch.

Whoever brought the fear of POE should be flogged and jailed. DO NOT PANIC!!!

They don't even have time to drill you cos they know you had a long journey. they are just doing their job. I didn't spend more than five mins with the official. Showed them my passport, 1-20, scanned my finger prints and prolly took my pix and off I went.

And America is organized. In fact those people no like stress. Everything was spelt out in the airport. You can't get lost and even if you do, ask question. It was in Naija airport that the search was real but other airports had scanner or so. They didnt use their hands to search our carry ons.

Finally going to America was a mixed feeling. I wasn't excited and I wasn't sad either but I just knew it was a "start of something good".
