dapotemi was raising hand doing the '4 + 4' sign for us here, going on business trips every month and enjoying his giant fat salary . . .
Other APC/jagaban enthusiasts (like Yeyegbami) are also laying low, counting their gains and hoping for the best . . .
Until next year when the 20% (and other allied) Tax Reforms hits us hard and the entire country gets charged up once more
I will be here to talk when that time reaches . . . Can't speak for the other names mentioned above seeing as they are already MIA at this midpoint in their emilokan's reign
We will all be alright I just got back from one of such trip! I was on an evening flight to Lagos from PH yesterday. Funny thing is an eviction notice was waiting for me at home, I received a 150% rent increase from oga landlord which I won't comply and perhaps he sense that and immediately followed it up with a quit notice....The truth is, everybody dey feel am, unless you're not being honest with yourself. Though things fit soft for ur side, but the number of people that this economy has thrown into deeper poverty is staggering. The number of people asking me for aid has quadrupled! So in the real sense, nobody is escaping the menace. It will be foolhardy to think that one human messiah is coming to save you! Nig politicians are all the same, ALL of them! Instead of ruminating on who will do it better or who's got the better opinion, I'll rather focus on the one who has promised a better, just and egalitarian society, JEHOVAH is his name! So if you ask how have been coping, I'll say na God!

You can hear the noise from the suspension of thier car a mile away. I was a rider for two complete month (May/June) and even part of July and not for once was I fortunate to take a ride with a good suspension! Believe me, on e you order a ride, note that you'll be picked up with a scrappy car, at least 9 out of 10! About two weeks ago, my partner (driver) called that he noticed about 3-5 seconds delay only in the morning when he shift the gear to drive or reverse. It takes about 5 second before car starts moving. He suggested we change the gear oil which was done. Two days after he reached out that it's still the same. I was in town on Friday so I ask that he dropped the car in my house. My mech advised that we should stop driving it so issues won't escalate. Last Saturday, I tested it and I confirmed it, gear delayed for about 5 second only when it's cold. Driving is smooth after the initial 5 second delay. Just this weekend that car was not used, this guy don call me tire asking how far and bringing diff suggestions. I was thinking car should be parked for a while till I'll decide on what to do, but this man is really disturbing..It's 05 Corolla.. Anyone with similar experience. What do you think I can do? A friend says it could be brain box, or even filter..Do you know any experience person that can diagnose properly? |

Omayie: Greetings chief. Mine is seems it’s gear issues but some professionals have also suggested it to be sensors. When I engage the gear on D it takes a little 3- 5 secs before it engages only on D mode. R works fine. No delay. However car transmits very well while on motion. Moreso I do experience that when I have driven for long. The delay time extends. Sometimes 1 mins or more. Any update on this issue chief |

OPay, one of Nigeria’s leading fintech platforms, is owned by Chinese billionaire Zhou Yahui. He is the chairman of Opera Software, the parent company of OPay.
Originally founded as Paycom Nigeria Limited in 2013, OPay was rebranded after Opera acquired it. Zhou Yahui played a key role in its growth and holds about a 30% stake in the company. Under his leadership, OPay has become a major player in Nigeria’s digital payment space. Thank you Mr Zhou! Though I don't know you personally but you have made a positive impact on my life. laptopsforsale: Guys, abeg I need help.
The interior part of my land is low, so we had to construct the foundation in such a way that the back has more coaches than the front so that they will all be the same level.
The back has 6 coaches from the ground, with the 6th coach being a plinth beam, while the front has 4 coaches. First attached picture is the front, while the other 3 pictures are the back area
The implication now is that I will need several trips of filling sand to adequately fill and compact the various compartments of the foundation before doing the german floor. My engineer is projecting over 10 trips of 20tons filling sand and I am worried about the cost.
Considering the quantity i will be buying, please advise me on how and where where I can get filling sand at reasonable cost. My location is Mowe axis.
Also, please share your thoughts about the foundation. Thanks Hmmn am not sure you have any choice than to get that filling sand..You can only use the sand from soakaway to reduce cost. Try this contact, he did mine at mowe too and his price was more reasonable than the rest then. Mr Oyebisi---08066333660.. Tell him from the military man at Graceland Estate, Mowe..the same man he supplied his filling sand.. Do your due diligence. Goodluck |

cyif2003: No b u go tell driver wetin him go accept. So many people are driving their personal cars and just need money to sort out personal bills. So People drive for various reasons...Many just wants to pay bills and I have been in this category before...This biz was not designed to be a long haul neither was it made to be the way we have adopted it here....Some driver just needed it to get to their destination to do other things.. I have a car, I needed to be on the island for a meeting by 8am. I'll just switch on my app and pick a rider going my way! That trip will sort out my fuel. Such drivers can conveniently pick Ikeja to V.I for 5k, switch on AC, play good music and it will just be smile all the way! When I was very much active, 9 out of 10 riders would ask me within 10 mins of our ride if am a regular driver and I'll answer YES! I'll switched on AC, play my good music, solid absorber, neatly dressed because am either going to work or coming back, car smells nicely! They don't get that often! All for 5k from ICM to V.I. Believe me, thousands are in this category..They are not losers! The biggest losers here are the ones driving 16 hrs a day, 7 days a week! The two biggest and perhaps ready made Hussle in Lagos today is house agent or Uber driver. Any guy on the street is either one of the two. I hope we see this Hussle for what it is, a brief journey! Make it BRIEF! |

yomisabere: Hello everyone, good day.
I’ve been seriously considering resigning from my current job at the bank to start driving with Uber through the Moove platform. I’m married with two children and currently earn ₦270,000 monthly.
In addition to my job, I’m also into video production — although client requests don’t come frequently, my current role doesn’t allow me the flexibility to attend to them when they do. My hope is that with the car from Moove, I can drive for Uber and at the same time create space to gradually grow my video production business.
I’d really appreciate your honest thoughts and advice on this possible transition. Thank you. Be careful, be very very careful! This road wey you dey admire, pls continue the admiration from where you dey. The road dey very slippery...May 'village people no laff over our matter..You may like the dashboard but you won't admire the human behind d dashboard! The people in MOOVE will gladly take your role and dash you the car... |

gabbytabby: You have to think about the planned location of the borehole. My advice is to locate the borehole in the front and the soak away at the back because it is unlikely that they can both stay in the same place on 25ft wide.
I once saw 1 twobed and 4 onebed on half plot of 120ft by 30ft.
Thank you. It will be the opposite because the space at the back is too small to accommodate soakaway. |

Pls I'll appreciate your input here. I have gotten to the soakaway stage in my bungalow. I have very limited space. It's half plot (100 by 25), and I was able to squeeze a two bedroom flat and two mini flat on it as a single unit. The problem now is, the only space remaining in front is where d soakaway will be and aside from the conventional soakaway, which other option do I have.. I won't consider Biodigester because this is a rental property. Tenant hardly follow rules. The remaining space can manage two small car. The car will be parked ON d soakaway always and this bothers me. My dad's soakaway just went down on its own last year after 9 years and car is not even allow on it. Someone is advising I consider the ring soakaway due to space. Is there any disadvantage to this ring's own..My land is not very hard, tho not swampy..its just in d middle. What other options do I have? Appreciate any response |

Politics › Re: Lagos To Introduce Monthly Rent Payment System by dapotemi: 7:16am On May 15, 2025 |
Saviola86: Monthly rent in a country that does not pay hourly wages?
This will hurt Lagosians more.
We blindly copy other nations but shy away from putting down the amenities they have on ground.
If monthly rent is introduced in Lagos then tenants are in soup because Lagos tenancy laws mandates a 6months quit notice for yearly tenants and 7days eviction notice for monthly tenants now imagine you being a monthly tenant in a highly congested state like Lagos?
If given a 7days quit notice where can you quickly find another apartment within 7days?
In abroad, houses are much so you can move from one house to another within two days but in Lagos, 6months you are still looking for a place to rent
Secondly, Lagosians don't earn hourly wages.while many are unemployed, too many Lagosians are underemployed and with Lagos overpriced rents, exorbitant electricity bills, crazy transportation costs, high school fees for children many parents will struggle to meet up that monthly rent payment.
Imagine earning N200,000 monthly with 2 kids, with a monthly rent of 50,000, every month you struggle with rent, bills, feeding etc.
The yearly rents allow People to find time to breathe. Sometimes the rent isn't even ready until the 7th month, the. One or two side hustles helps you to gather the rent and you pay for one year..
Not to forget how cunning Nigerians are. If landlords see that the monthly rents isn't feeding them fine they will just keep increasing the rents until before you know, your monthly rent becomes almost the same as what you used to pay as yearly rent and Nigeria being a lawless state, govt will just remain nonchalant until civil unrest began
If only Lagos state will make housing easily available and introduce hourly wages then these bill makes sense otherwise Lagosians will cry blood I agree with your submission. The solution being proposed by govt is just not the solution. First, tackle the illegal caution, agreement fees. Agency shouldn't be more than 3%. Every jobless guys in my area now are all agent! Cap rentals per LG/LCDA. Standardized the whole thing.. Most importantly, rent increase should not come just whenever the landlord feels like increasing. Rent increment should be once in 3/4 years...There are so many more..Not necessarily doing it at once but start somewhere, gradually...if my rent is high but I know it will remain the same figure for atleast 4 years, that's some succour. Monthly or daily payment will only create more problem than you're trying to solve...I will even prefer yearly payment for myself than monthly..I know I'll only have to squeeze my face once in a year and not monthly! |
