..

At least I have been contemplating regarding this issue.. most people here think I have been equivocating.. since you have decided to lend your voice out.. let see if there will be any positive outcome..

Someone suggested Benin bolt drivers should send multiple mails to bolt, to inform them about the increased of fuel , so that they we be able to adjust the price on the app. that's a nice option sha. But the increase in fuel price is not a current news.

Someone also replied that it's becus of Lagos state purchasing power. Meaning other states bolt passengers ain't capable of paying 6000 naira for 20-25mins bolt fare. Can you imagine, why the stereotype attitudehuh
Lol, to be honest I sympathize with u...There are many factors that must be ticked b4 prices can be increase...You are only concentrating on just one factor, that is the major determinant of our operation, FUEL!
RIDER are the most important factor in this biz, if there are no passenger, every one of us, you and I, the coy, the app, everyone is just wasting his time..
Every other factor can, perhaps be substituted..Yes, driver can be substituted! But you see rider, everyone needs them.
Before u increase price, you must consider the people that will PURCHASE/BUY that products or services..Once it's beyond their reach, then there is problem..I am not in Benin, you know d demographics better than I do. Can Edolite afford 6k for a 20 mins ride consistently? Be honest with us.
Why I want a better package for you all over there, the app guys also need to balance things at d other end ..But ehailing shouldn't be too cheap that driver won't make any profit at all, as you've posited here, if it's true o.
Like PBAT reform, I'll always tell people in my circle that there is no reform that should make ur people go to bed hungry! That is what FG is doing now.

But, why is bolt cheaper in other states when it's clear they buy fuel higher than us in lagos..
Largely due to their purchasing power I'll assume...if you nack them 6k on top 20 mins trip, they won't returned d next day.. Moreover, moving around without bolt might not be too difficult and stressful like the big cities..I might be wrong tho

Which Abuja? grin grin Abuja price is ridiculous
I don't agree with you . I took about 35 trips as a rider on bolt in Abj last month and I was paying average of 6k for 20-25 mins trips ..Not bad if you ask me...Lagos is only SLIGHTLY better.. OGUDU to Vi on weekend is about 20-25 mins and you will only get average of 6k, most times 5k self on INDRIVE ....Funny thing is, none of them switched on AC..You can't try that with Lagos rider

I'm on a three-month marathon (Oct - Dec).

PMS is my biggest expenditure. embarassed #195,000 so far

Infact, I haven't spent a dime on vehicle maintenance.
Good job sir, that PMS figure is huge if you're using a 1.6-1.8 engine, except perhaps you're using a bigger engine..If it's a 1.8 engine, maybe you should be around 580-600k..You may want to fine-tune a little more..
Nevertheless, you're not doing badly at all..68 trip no be moin-moin...I no envy u.
With this, all the lazy driver asking for weekly remittance of less than 50k should hug the nearest transformer. They should just wait till tomorrow when national grid go don restore power ..

My bricklayer said we will meet this weekend..I want to have an idea now Incase when he brings out his figure, I will know what to negotiate...Hope you get?

If you're planning to build by direct labour, it's best you know how to read and implement the design yourself, otherwise you better engage a professional builder/engineer. Do not depend on a bricklayer to do that for you. E get why!

Nor be only stay in Chevron, keep deceiving your self... Bolt has enslaved a lot of you that you can't surmise for ur self anymore... After buying fuel, driving under hot sun in the afternoon to pick riders and drive to their destination. And bolt will decide what the rider will pay you after removing bonus with their commission pending to be paid later, You are been left out with peanut.. unfortunately you are solely responsible to maintain your car after deterioration without the assistance of bolt. and you are happy about it.. this is why coming together to form bolt union by drivers will never work!! Most of you reason like ants.. you are working hard and enriching someone else.. Continue been enslaved.. I always stand for the truth.. peace

I'm done for today
I dan enter house dey rest
So far, with 15k fuel I bought this morning while on empty tank
I was able to make 48k both offline and online trips
Bolt still dey owe me 5k that will be paid on Monday,
The remain fuel in the car with still generate like 6k for me. But I'm done for today.

Take off time: 6:00a.m
Done time: 12:30pm
Wow this is quite similar to the test I did on Wednesday.
Take off time 6am
Done time about 1pm
Gross = 45,600.
Fuel : 15k @ 885 per litre.
INDRIVE only.
This bros did 48k gross with 15k fuel, very very similar to what I did..what car sir? Mine is 06 Corolla.
From our observation, we can begin to reason along that PERHAPS, we can do X3 of our fuel cost as gross....
If you're able to do more, maybe you tell us what you're doing differently..

A friend on my street who is fully on ehailing said I would have made MORE if it's on Bolt and that the 11,100 trip from Isaac Jones to Chevron is a very very bad trip, too cheap according to him. I felt it too during the trip.
Well, I was experimenting, so I needed to work with the worst case scenario.
What are the available options for drivers? CNG? That thing scares the hell out of me! The thing be like bomb for my eyes. Like everything in Nig, soon we might start having fake kit in the market.. It's a time bomb honestly, and it seems this FG led tax collector is hell bent on continuing this fuel increment.

Today, I decided to drive after a long hiatus due to traveling and some other reason...My driver has been whistling about the dwindling revenue and he's asking for a slash..I told him he will get a response when am back to Lagos. The idea is to experienced whatever he claim to be the issue then we find a middle ground..Quite funny that yesterday is the first time am buying fuel at 890 or so, the fuel in my car up to yesterday morning was still gotten for 600....I don go, I don come back ....make I rest small..I'll share my experience..
I decided to hit the road around 6am only on INDRIVE and this are my trips;
Alapere to Oniru..7,500
Oniru to Isaac Jones...7,700
Isaac Jones to Chevron ....11,100( rider round it up to 11,500), according to her, you people no longer switch on AC and she was surprised I did without even asking.
Agungi to Gbagada hospital---12k ( took me about 17 mins to get to the rider, ordinarily I won't pick this ride but I needed to go home and that ride is very close to home.
Gbagada hospital to Alapere----4k (I was supposed to go home straight but I saw a very long queue at NNPC Alapere, switched to radio and I heard fuel increase, I knew I had to go back and Hussle for fuel, then I got my last trip.
Alapere to OGUDU/Gbagada---2,900. (branch to NNPC, got fuel for 998.
I did 6am to 12:30
Gross = 45,600.
Fuel = 15k (my fuel indicator was already on when I bought this fuel at MRS yesterday..I think I got 16.7 litres...
When I gross 45,600, my fuel was low but indicator wasn't ON, I think I could have added maybe 5k more but I was tired and that could mean going far away from home again ...
MY OPINiON:
INDRIVE did not absorb the effect of this fuel increase, I think they just pass everything to driver and rider ..
Target only Longggg trip, the era of short trip is a waste of fuel. This fuel is too expensive for the stress, time wasting and insult that usually accompany short trip.
Pick up must not be unnecessary long..I won't do anything more that 5 to 7 mins unless it's super juicy.
Find a way to dey run the App street in one way or the other, half of my trip today (in value) was done offline..Don't ask me how abeg..
This Hussle is super stressful walahi, tho I notice the roads seems to be better and free than what it was few month back...Fewer vehicles on d road..
If I had to returned the qty of fuel I used back into the car, I will buy just maybe 12/13k..but I bought 19k, App will get like 2,500...I still have 24k.
My driver/partner won't get a slash...Any serious person with a functional Corolla should be able to deliver 45k...That is what I'll tell him tonight...But I might find time maybe next week to do it again on this new fuel price (998), then see if I'll re-adjust my verdict.

-Capture one of the arsonists.
-Have him confess to his crimes.
-Have him name Wike as his contractor.
-Petition the IGP to arrest and produce Wike.
-If IGP refuses, proceed to court.
-Name IGP as a co-conspirator (since he deliberately withdrew the Police in Rivers on no court order which is against the law)
-Rope Tinubu into the mess as his appointees are accused criminals.
-Grant a BBC or international interview on the political state of Rivers
-Highlight the case and its actors in the interview
-Relax

If nothing is done and the violence continues then it will be Wike, IGP and Tinubu behind it until they show up in court to clear their names. This means any declaration of State of Emergency in Rivers will be impossible since the IGP himself is complicit.

You refused to police the state, what did you expect?
There's no law stopping the Police from performing their duties in Rivers state as we speak.

Help them publicize their own destruction.

Fact1: Bob was sentence
Fact 2: Bob was handed over to officers of the NCS (warder) after the sentence.
Fact: Bob was assumed /presumed to be taking to prison..If he was then taken to another place, it is not his prob. Wherever they took me to is 'prison'. Unless anyone can prove that he was seen 'outside' within that period.
I believe the officials must have done the needful after collecting whatever bribe...The prison register must have been adjusted accordingly...

However, if the ehailing coys wants to continue with their present pricing template then maybe they should create a category for riders to choose from

A: Cars without AC, Bluetooth, no preference to dents whose duty is just to move from point a to b for these current prices. There will be no complain everybody is happy
B: Cars that properly fit into the ehailing concept AC, Bluetooth and neat, option for number of riders or riders with loads with commensurate prices
