DrAuthentic: a load of mass120kg is raised vertically through a height of 2m in 30s by a machine whose efficiency is 100%. Calculate the power generated by the machine. [g = 10ms -2] anybody. We know power is work done (or energy) divided by time We have time but we need to calculate work done Work done= force * distance Force in this context is the object's weight and is equal to the it's mass multiplied by the acceleration due to gravity (F= ma) Force/ weight = 120 * 10 = 1200N Following the first equation, work done = force * distance W = 1200 * 2 W= 2400J And since power = work done / time P = 2400/ 30 P= 80W |

chinedubrazil: another riddle for genius = in a room, there are two doors, a table and a chair and there is also 6inches round hole at the ceiling. ade want to escape from that dungeon(room), one door leads to a hungry lion and the other door leads to a glass tunnel with high radiation from sun which would even kill ade if he mistakenly open that door. so how can he escape from that room? = Daqueen7, vivie01, chuksDavinci oya take it I'm not sure cause I have a feeling the two doors has something to do with it but I think he'll just put the chair on the table and get out through the hole in the ceiling. |

Mobuoy19: Please I need help with this question. An object weighs 10N in air and 7N in water. What Is its weight when immersed in a liquid o relative density 1.5?
Thanks R.d = upthrust in water/upthrust in water Upthrust in water= 10-7 =3N 1.5 = Upthrust in liquid/3 4.5 = upthrust in liquid The weight in the liquid equals the original weigjt minus the upthrust W =10N -4.5N W= 5.5N |
