A leader never leaves his people under any circumstances,only a coward does. However bad hitler was,he never ran away,instead, he chose to end himself. Whether that in itself is an act of cowardice is open to another debate. The man ran away and left the poor ibos who had believed in his cause.
If you are ibo and you belive his excuse of going somewhere else to seek support,then ur only letting your heart guide you, not your head. He could simply have sent someone else. He really shouldnt be celebrated because he left his people who were in dire need (in which he aggravated anyway) when they needed him the most. Coward!!

I disagree with you there, Like someone said earlier, the UK is still reaping benefits from the slave trade, which finianced their industrialization, which was the first of it's kind. The source of it's wealth comes from a clever alliance with its past colonies ,"common wealth", which provides raw materials to it's industries back then. Then came Margaret Thatcher. Who privatised most of Britains industries, who in turn moved those industries to cheaper countries to maximise on profit.
Lest i digress from the poster's quetion, the uk is presently rich because of its banking sector. It's one of the places where the wealth of the world is gathered, invested in, and the re-distributed elsewhere. Yes, they do not have resources, but they control,or have a share, in half the world's resources(again check the "common wealth states".The Uk has not got much earthly reasources but the rest assured they have intellectual resources combined with politcal shrewdness. I hope i provided some insight into your delusions. .
