hoover420: Quick question guys, I use a prepaid meter and mostly rely on NEPA (grid) power to charge my Haisic 1.5kVA inverter and its 3.6kWh battery. Will this charging process cause my prepaid meter units to drain faster? Cos I’m beginning to think I’m spending more recharging now that I even got solar At 60A, your inverter will pull around 700-850w, just 300w shy of what an AC, hotplate, microwave etc will pull on normal operation. You normally don't put those on for long cos of the obvious. If you must use grid, reduce your charging amperage to like 10-20A (slower) then use your solar panels. Or better still don't use solar at all. You can also set a priority for solar if available over grid |

hoover420: Guys, I don’t understand how to read the percentage on this Deriy 3.6kwh. I downloaded the BMS app used to monitor the battery and percentage but checking the app, it usually doesn’t correspond with what the battery percentage is showing on the battery itself. Is there a way around it or I should just follow the readings on the app? Free that voltage screen on the battery. The app is your source of truth |

hoover420: Okay thanks. Quick question, do you use Nepa light to charge your inverter and how many hours does it take to full using it? Also, can washing machine be used with the inverter with no issues? 1. Nepa at 60A is around 1100w and takes like 3 hours 2. Yes it can, depending on the type. I use hisense twin tub |

hoover420: Guys, I have eventually gotten Deriy 3.6kwh Battery and Haisic 1.5kva from the ever reliable Dam5reey1 to begin my solar journey. My question is can I get a jinko 535 watt for a start and what other components do I need aside from the Battery & Inverter? PS My load is just 55 inch TV, 110 watt freezer & 2 fans. Also, is it advisable to use 5k stabilizer to charge the inverter since the electricity in my area is kinda low. 1. Yes you can but charging will be very slow. I use the same battery and have 2 585w panels. Takes about 6 hours to charge at 600w constant power. So do the math. 2. Solar cable from panel to inverter, wire from battery to inverter, voltage protection box, solar and NEPA breakers. 3. I don't use stabilizer for mine since the inverter trips (not Haisic) but I imagine you can |

Topper33: Hi Guys...
Please I need your help with a couple of thoughts:
My budget is 800k and I would like to get an Inverter setup. At the moment, my landlord does not permit Panel installment on his roof so I am stuck with just the grid.
Please honestly, what can I get with this budget interms of LiFePO4 inverter and battery setup solely being charged from the grid(for now)
You thoughts and honest recommendations would be highly appreciated
I am open to suggestions..
Thanks FAM Check with @Damreey5 24v Haisic Inverter - 340k Deriy 100A 2.56kwh 24v battery - 430k Or Sako 24v inverter 340k Luwatt 3.0kwh 24v battery - 490k You can upgrade your backup time by buying more batteries in parallel. Don't buy 12v system |

Dharyhor: Hello everyone,
My powmr 60A mppt charge controller keeps shutting down when the temperature rises to 60°c. The controller's fan start to work at 45°c and despite augmenting with external fan, the temperature continues to increase till it gets to 60°c when the controller shuts down for like an hour and starts to work again
I initially connected 2 pieces of 530watt jinko panels in series, I reconfigured to parallel, still the same. System is 12v
Kindly help
Thank you Hi, I use this same PowrMr 60A mppt for my folks at home. I use 2 * 420w panels in series which means I can only get 70A in theory ( 53 - 58A real-world after losses, cloud cover etc) so I'm still in range. Your panels are too much for the controller at 88A theoritical and > 60A after adjusted for real-world conditions. I myself have 2*585w panels in series but with an hybrid inverter of 100A capability. One way out is to sell off the 60A controller and get an 80A-rated one. If you want, you can also sell the inverter and controller and get an hybrid inverter rated > 80A . I use Bread, it has 100A mppt and costs around 200k. The big panels will be beneficial when you want to upgrade to 24v. I also had 300w panels before and sold them |

Lol 48v na long-term goal abeg 🤣🤣. Bassdow is right, fingers are not equal. For a 48v system I will have to add at least 6 585w panels to my existing 2. I be first-born o 😄
Bread 1.5kva + 3.5kwh deriy battery is keeping things ticking for now.
Sold my old tubular setup (Indian inverter, CC and battery) and added ₦150k for that. I figured that's a better way to do it then go all out for 48v when I am ready |

Obnoxious2001: SMS used to be the original people that sold it. this particular one Na renaming.
I have attached images for SMS Lol, this controller na glorified pwm (my experience sha). Imagine make you get 1.1kw of panels yet controller dey insist on taking in only 200w max. It got so frustrating I had to even increase charging voltage to 15.3v, just to cross up to 300w. Battery never charges. For your issue you might try downloading the app and control from there, I've made the APK shareable here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1r00WuSTO3dgmt_y21eJyBbYILtSbLVTP/view?usp=drivesdk |

durodee: Depends on the amps you are charging with and the load on the 3.5kva inverter. If no load and the battery is being charged with very low amps, then yes. The pressure on the generator will be : 1) Idle load of the inverter 2) The amps you set on the inverter to charge with. 3) Any other load you connect to the inverter
My experience is that the maximum it might be able to charge with will depend on the age of the engine of the generator. Thank you |

BigDickProblems: The thing here is that, did you beat the purpose of buying the “Bifacial panel”? Did you utilize the two faces of the panel? Clearly the answer is “capital NO”.
You had your reasons which came from the seller here like you just admitted, and probably you wanted to know how far with it which is still fine.
You would have helped us a lot more with the figure you got when using the Mono and the new figure you got when you added the Bifacial.
Now I am beginning to believe that this narrative of Bifiacial panels being better bla bla bla, is as a result of it being cheap and it’s likely what most of the sellers here/ghost sellers here lols, have in stock.
Modified: I’m still on the fence separating both arguments so far and I still haven’t moved. I couldn't find any mono of the same rating anywhere, my only option was the bifacial so i had to ask. My major goal was to avoid mismatch issues which was why I asked after doing my findings on ChatGPT, I also asked my installer to be double sure. I didn't buy the panel from Dam5reey. |
