"After watching this kind of oppressing video, there is no need to pretend. This is the time Nigeria should be looking out for a revolution. 


Nigerians should wake up and adopt the Malian style, otherwise the country will soon collapse under Buhari. After watching this video, it is obvious that Nigeria is not one. At this point in time, there should be referendum,  and let every region go there various ways.


This is not time to pretend, I urge every Leaders of the various zones to rise up to the occasion to save this nation from the hands of just a few.

...Urges EFCC's thorough investigation of Akpabio, Nwaboshi's allegations

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has asked President Muhammad Buhari to remove the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) currently under the Niger Delta Ministry back to the Presidency.

Frank described as embarrassment allegations and counter allegations between the Senate and the Minister of Niger Delta Ministry Godswill Akpabio, over alleged missing N40 billions and other contract racketeering, saying politicians have turned the commission to a cash cow.

In a statement made available to newsmen Tuesday in Abuja, the Bayelsa born political activist said it is sad that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and other anti-graft agencies were still looking other ways despite the ongoing revelations between the Senate committee Chairman on Niger Delta Sen. Peter Nwaboshi and the Minister, Godswill Akpabio, regarding alleged contract racketeering and looting of public funds in the commission.


Senator Nwaboshi, in a statement signed by his Media Aide, Luka Igbinoba, had accused Akpabio of looting the NDDC through contracts, adding that documents available with him clearly show that the Minister recieved N500 million contracts from the NDDC in 2017 when he served as Minority Leader of Senate.


The activist said there were also allegations that the Minister has been demanding for 30 percent kick-back from all the contractors he ordered the commission to pay, saying all these allegations must be investigated.


Frank said while majority of his people in Niger Delta are living in abject poverty, "politicians are daily running the commission like a private business against the purpose the commission was established.


"Where is the forensic audit ordered by President Muhammadu Buhari today? I commended the President when the news broke that he had ordered for the forensic audit of the commission but today the story remains what it was.


"It is shamful and embarrassing to the people of Niger Delta because each day you open the pages of Newspapers the damaging reports of looting in NDDC is always conspicuously written.


"I hereby call on the government to save the region of this daily embarrassment by removing the NDDC from the control of the Niger Delta Ministry back to the Presidency and ensure that all the names mentioned in all the allegations of looting in the commission are brought to book.


"I will also call on the Minister of Niger Delta Ministry, Godswill Akpabio, to step aside for now to allow an independent probe of the commission."


Frank called on EFCC and other anti-graft agencies to do thorough job of cleaning the NDDC of corruption and expose all those who have used their influences to enrich themselves through fake contracts and all manners of activities in the region.


Frank, however, called on all the elders and leaders of Niger Delta region to put pressure on the presidency to return the commission back to its control so as to save it from total collapse ,adding that since the commission was brought under the Ministry nothing tangible has been achieved.

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, on Friday, said that the last five years of General Muhammadu Buhari’s regime remains the worst in the history of the country.

Frank in a statement in Abuja said that the nation’s progress is presently on a freeze and can only return to normal mode of development after Buhari’s tenure.

He noted that apart from the President’s inept and riderless administration in the last five years, Nigerians must brace up for further economic and social torments ahead in the next three years.

He lamented that Buhari has continued to lead the country and its yet unborn citizens into the abyss of debt and slavery with his penchant for amassing loans meant to be shared by the cabal rather than for positive developmental projects.

He insisted that it would take Nigeria another 10 decades to repay and recover from the loans already amassed and squandered by the present administration.

Frank said: “Today marks the fifth year of the Buhari’s regime in power, yet, Nigerians have not recovered from his ruinous ways of the dummy sold to them prior to the 2015 presidential elections.

“Buhari is not only the most incompetent Nigerian leader but the most unprepared for the nation’s exalted office of President.

“Notwithstanding his half-baked polices like the single treasury account, closure of borders and playing patron to deadly and bloodthirsty herdsmen, his incapacity to comprehend the workings of modern economy is legendary.

“In 2016 alone, over five million Nigerians lost their jobs when he plunged the country into an unwarranted recession.

“Besides, the worsening insecurity across the country, he has not deemed it to change the leadership of the armed forces purposely selected from a section of the country and religious faith.

“The only legacy Buhari has built in the last five years is an ever increasing debt profile for the country.

“Under Buhari, Nigeria’s debt profile rose from N10.32 billion in June 30, 2015 to 27.4trillion naira as at December 31, 2019.

“Presently, our rubber stamp 9th National Assembly is sealing another $5.513billion external loan for Buhari.

“This is after the same National Assembly hurriedly repurposed N850 billion external loan to be sourced by Buhari from the local capital markets in May 2019.

“Already, over a quarter of Nigeria’s N10.51 trillion revised 2020 budget, that is N3trillion has been earmarked for debt service, which far exceeds the N2.23trillion meant for capital expenditure.”

“This clearly shows that Buhari’s only Next Level Agenda has been to lead the country into bondage through unmitigated borrowing from multilateral lending institutions like the World Bank, IMF, AfDB, Islamic Development Bank and the China EXIM Bank, among others,

“With all these, one of Buhari’s hirelings claims that ‘we are glad’ the retired General ‘came our way’ in 2015. What do you expect?

“I believe that Nigeria will be free from this burden one day. All it would take is for Nigerians to put on their thinking caps and elect a leader who will lead them out of Egypt and not one that would further increase their heavy yoke.

“Today Nigerians are celebrating five years of poverty, hardship, sickness, joblessness, rising inflation, drowning economy and debt slavery courtesy of Buhari.”

Following the death of George Floyd in Minnesota by a police officer kneeling on his neck, the 28-year-old actor spoke about the huge issue of racism in the world.

One of Nigeria’s thriving indigenous construction companies, Rodnab Constructions Limited, has repudiated social media reports alleging elements of fraud in the N16.2billion contract awarded to it for the building of the permanent headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

A statement signed the Company Secretary and Legal Adviser, Adamu Musa, said “all contracts awarded to Rodnab Constructions Limited in NDDC and other places were duly awarded, they were duly tendered for, won and approved by the NDDC Governing Board and further approved by the Federal Executive Council, having met all the necessary conditions.”

It dismissed the report allegedly “sourced from the office of the Auditor General as a complete cocktail of lies, innuendos and a figment of the imagination of the authors, adding that “neither the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation nor the NDDC has contacted us either in writing or in person over the N16.2billion NDDC contract with regards to any violation.”

The statement reads:

“Our attention has been drawn to a report in the social media alleging that the N16.2billion contract awarded to Rodnab Construction Limited, for the permanent headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, was done illegally, without authorization.

“The so-called report, allegedly sourced from the office of the Auditor General is a complete cocktail of lies, innuendos and a figment of the imagination of the authors.

“For the records, all contracts awarded to Rodnab Construction Limited in NDDC and other places were duly awarded, they were duly tendered for, won and approved by the NDDC Governing Board and further approved by the Federal Executive Council, having met all the necessary conditions.

“We are definitely not in the business to flout rules, cut corners or defraud the system. We take Government rules and financial regulations very seriously. It is therefore mischievous to insinuate that contracts duly approved by all approving organs of Government are illegal.

“Neither the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation nor the NDDC has contacted us either in writing or in person over the N16.2billion NDDC contract with regards to any violation.

“As a law-abiding indigenous contracting firm, we are equipped with the best hands as financial experts and Internal auditors applying best professional practices, we have never received any query as claimed by the writers from the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation or anyone.

“And for the umpteenth time, Rodnab Constructions Limited has no personal relationship with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio. Rodnab Construction Limited, a registered indigenous top-grade company in Nigeria whose involvements in NDDC contracts predates Senator Akpabio's appointment as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, is effectively helping to fulfil the mandate of NDDC in infrastructure development of the Niger Delta region.

“While we are committed to guarding the integrity and trust of our company, we advise people to be wary of people who are bent on tarnishing the image of others and organizations for political, ideological, economic reasons.”

Former Chief of General Staff and de-factor Military Vice President, Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya, has lost his beloved junior wife, Chief (Mrs) Rebecca Folashade Diya, to Coronavirus.

A press statement released by Olawale Adekoya, Special Adviser (Media & Strategy) to Gen Diya, said the late Mrs Diya died late Monday night at 66.

“With grief in our hearts but gratitude to Almighty God, we announce the transition onto eternal glory of Chief Mrs Deborah Folashade Diya (JP), wife of His Excellency, Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya (Rtd); whose death occurred on Monday, May 18, 2020. She was aged 66.

“Madam Deborah Folashade Diya was preparing and looking forward to her 66th birthday celebration on May 23, 2020 (this week). But as man proposes, God disposes. Six days ago, she took ill and was taken to the hospital, where she took her last breath on Monday, May 18,” the statement read in parts.

According to the statement, the late Otunba Folashade dedicated her life to the emancipation of humanity and service of the Almighty God.

“She was a devout Christian, a loyal and dedicated wife, a loving mother, an alluring grandmother and a passionate chorister at United African Methodist (Evangelical) Church, Abule Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos. She was a chorister who sang and danced for the Lord all the way.”

Meanwhile, members of the household it was gathered are now under isolation including the General.

Fifteen days after 27 illegal miners were arrested in Osun State, another 10 Chinese and a Ghanaian have been arrested after raids on four mining sites in the state.

Newsmen reports that on Sunday, May 3, 27 miners – 17 of whom were Chinese expatriates – were arrested by operatives of Amotekun Corps.

It was learnt that men of Amotekun corps and other security personnel that participated in the raid acted on a tip-off by the residents.

The raid on the illegal mining sites located in Itagunmodi, Igun and Ariye 1 and 2, lasted about two hours, Newsmen were told.


It was gathered that the raid also involved men of the Joint Task Force on banditry, kidnapping and illegal mining recently inaugurated by Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola.

Director-General of Amotekun Corps in Osun, Mr. Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the arrest on Tuesday.


He said the latest arrest was made at mining sites located in some communities in Atakumosa West Local Government Area of the state on Monday.

Shittu added that the mining sites where the expatriates were arrested have been shut down.

He also commended the men of JTF that participated in the operation for their cooperation.

“The success recorded so far is owing to the resolve of Governor Oyetola to rid the state of economic saboteurs,” Shittu said.

Mother of One and singer, Tiwa Savage, has said that she might have to go naked in her next musical video.

Tiwa, 40, said this in an interview with BBC, while speaking on what to expect from her forthcoming album entitled ‘Celia’.

NDDC-AKPABIO’S N16.2BN CRISIS: HOW RODNAB LTD DEFRAUDED NDDC, AUDITOR-GENERAL’S REPORT REVEALS DAMNING DETAILS


Our attention has been drawn to a report in the social media alleging that the N16.2billion contract awarded to Rodnab Construction Limited, for the Permanent Headquarters of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, was done illegally, without authorization.

The so-called report, allegedly sourced from the office of the Auditor General is a complete cocktail of lies, innuendos and a figment of the imagination of the authors.

For the records, all contracts awarded to Rodnab Constructions Limited in NDDC and other places were duly awarded, they were duly tendered for, won and approved by the NDDC Governing Board and further approved by the Federal Executive Council, having met all the necessary conditions.

We are definitely not in the business to flaunt rules, cut corners or defraud the system. We take Government rules and financial regulations very seriously.

It is therefore mischievous to insinuate that contracts duly approved by all approving organs of Government are illegal.

Neither the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation or the NDDC have contacted us either in writing or in person over the N16.2billion NDDC contract with regards to any violation.

As a law abiding indigenous contracting firm, we are equipped with the best hands as financial experts and Internal auditors applying best professional practices, we have never received any query as claimed by the writers from the office of the Auditor-General of the Federation or anyone.

And for the umpteenth time, Rodnab Constructions Limited have no personal relationship with the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio. Rodnab Construction Limited, a registered indigenous top-grade company in Nigeria whose involvements in NDDC Contracts predates Senator Akpabio's appointment as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, is effectively helping to fulfil the mandate of NDDC in infrastructure development of the Niger Delta Region.

Mauritius on Wednesday declared wary victory in its first battle with coronavirus, saying it had “zero” active patients and had not documented a single new case in 17 days.

The Indian Ocean island nation initially surged ahead of other eastern African countries in terms of caseload, hitting a peak of 332 just shy of six weeks into its outbreak. Ten people died.

It imposed one of the first and strictest lockdowns in Africa, going so far as to initially shut supermarkets for 10 days, a measure that has been extended until June 1.

“Today we are at 17 days without a new case. Mauritius now has zero active cases,” Health Minister Kailesh Jagutpal said in an address on national television.

“We have won the battle thanks to the cooperation of the public, who understood that the government needed to take extreme measures, including complete confinement, and the closure of supermarkets and our borders. But we have not yet won the war. Let’s remain vigilant.”

From May 15, a limited selection of essential stores such as bakeries, butcheries and fishmongers will be allowed to re-open, but most businesses, bars, shopping centres and markets will stay shut.

Schools will remain closed until August 1, the island’s famed beaches will remain off limits and no more than 10 people will be allowed to attend weddings and funerals.

Independent epidemiologist Deoraj Caussy told AFP Mauritius needed to remain on alert.

“It is imperative to use random sampling and continue to test… Zero active cases does not mean that it is over and life is returning to normal.”

Meanwhile the government is busy debating two pieces of legislation, the Covid Bill and the Quarantine Bill, which will legislate aspects of the eventual lifting of the lockdown and planned return to normal of all activity from June 2.

However the laws have come under fire from unions and civil society who say they weaken individual freedoms and workers rights.

Among the changes made will be those allowing employers to fire workers with one month salary and on short notice, while another change will allow police to enter a home without a warrant.

A statement from a collective of unions in the country warned that social discontent was currently confined but “could erupt like a social volcano at any moment”.

“We still need to make sacrifices to return to a semblance of normalcy. We are counting on the understanding of the population to not let their guard down,” said Justice Minister Maneesh Gobin

Reacting to the appointment through a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, Comrade Frank said as a scholar and diplomat he is convinced that Prof Gambari will bring his rich experiences garnered over the years to improve the country's diplomatic relations.


While urging Nigerians to support the new Chief of Staff, Frank urged Prof Gambari not to betray the trust reposed on him by Nigerians.


Frank said Nigerians expects you to chart a new direction away from lopsided appointment, corruption and all manners of anti people's policies that have characterised General Muhammadu Buhari's government.


Frank said Prof. Gambari should be bold to tell the President the real feelings of Nigerians, adding that whatever the new Chief of Staff does now will forever affect his name either positively or negative.
