Nollywood actress cum singer, Cossy Orjiakor's
voluptuous bosom which she often leaves
uncovered has gained her more popularity or
notoriety as the case may be and as well made
her have not less than four Facebook accounts.
Although they are fake accounts but the
operators of the accounts have been making
money by defrauding unsuspecting sugar
daddies and other men that want to have a taste
of Cossy's 'assets'.
The most popular of all the account is the one
used to solicit for sex partners. Often times, the
operator of the account posts pictures of busty
girls and then call on interested ‘sugar daddies’ to
contact them via Facebook.
Cossy, as she is popularly called, said she was
aware that con men were using her name to
defraud the public and she had tried her best to
stop the act.
According to her chat with Punch, she said, “I am
not on Facebook, in fact, my cousin was recently
duped by one of them who said that she should
bring N20,000 to him in Abuja. Even the movie
that I just released, I learnt that the fraudsters told
people via the Facebook account to give them
money if they want to be featured in the movie.
I believe that it is a man that is operating that
account and unfortunately, he has a lot of
followers. These people actually think it is me but
the truth is that I am not on Facebook.
I used my twitter account to announce to people
that I am not on Facebook and I have also
reported the person to Facebook but I wonder
why they have not acted on my complaints.
The day I tweeted that I was not on Facebook,
the fraudster wrote on the fake Facebook page
that I am not on twitter to confuse my fans.”
The actress said that the fraudsters have gone to
the extent of ‘pimping’ her out by bargaining with
people who are interested in having sex with her
but warned that she is not to be held responsible
for anyone defrauded with her name on
Facebook. |

President Muhammau Buhari may have lost the support of some Yoruba elders less than 100 days into his tenure. The leaders are particularly angry with Buhari over the recently concluded National Assembly elections, which they feel was a big blow to the South west. READ ALSO: Bode George Orders Obanikoro, Others To Be Thrown Out Of PDP They berated the president for his silence and suggested that their region might not benefit from the Buhari administration despite voting massively for the president during the April 2015 presidential polls. “For the fact that the South-West played a key role in the emergence of Buhari as the President, it is expected that they would occupy a more strategic position than the post of vice president”, said one of the elders. They argued that the National Assembly leadership election has given the impression that their region is weak politically. READ ALSO: Opinion: Like The Phoenix, Tinubu Will Rise Again Some of the leaders who also participated in the last National Conference also say the region must re-strategise to assert itself in the politics of the nation. They argued that the position of Professor Yemi Osinbanjo, the current vice president, who is a South west indigene is not a powerful position. Chief Ayo Opadokun, a South-West leader, who spoke to the Nigerian Pilot yesterday on the current power imbalance, noted that the Yoruba race made a great mistake by not re-electing former president Goodluck Jonathan, considering what he had in stock for the zone. READ ALSO: How Jega Damaged Our Electoral Process- Gani Adams He emphasised that the implementation of the National Conference report would elevate the standard of the zone, which is the reason people of the South-West should have queued behind Jonathan. Also speaking on the issue, image maker of Pro- National Conference, Wale Okunniyi, faulted the emergence of Saraki and Dogara, which he described as a conspiracy against the Yoruba nation by some powerful forces in the APC. Another prominent South-West leader and lawyer, Asiwaju Bisi Adegbuyi, focused on how the Yoruba race can move forward saying, the region needs self-determination rather than a symbolic representation. “Yoruba race should know what they want. Yoruba made progress when Chief Obafemi Awolowo led us”, he said. It will be recalled that during the electioneering period, the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation warned the leaders of the All Progressives Congress to stop insulting Yoruba Obas. |

Real Madrid have kept their place at the top of the Forbes’ list of the most valuable football teams in the world – despite a five per cent decrease in their value. The club have led the rankings since displacing Manchester United in 2013 and with a value of €2.9 billion are once again at the summit ahead of arch rivals Barcelona (€2.8bn). The reigning European champions’ total revenue of €658 million is the highest of any sports team on the planet. Eight Premier League teams feature in the top 20 of Forbes’ list, which is put together by using equity and net debt based on current stadium deals, pre-tax operating income and player trading. United, whose operating income of €186 million dwarfs that of any other club, are third on the list with a value of €2.7bn. Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are also in the top 10. The value of Premier League teams seems likely to only increase thanks to a new domestic TV deal that pays an average of €2.3bn annually for three years starting from the 2016-17 season. Forbes says that when the Premier League’s international rights are finalised at the end of the year, its total media rights will surpa$$ €3.5bn – second only to the NFL’s national rights (€4.4bn). Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are fourth on the list, with Serie A duo Juventus and Milan – who suffered a 10 per cent drop in value – rounding off the top 10. The top 20 teams are worth an average of €1.02bn, which represents an 11 per cent increase from last year. Quote Top 20: 1.Real Madrid €2.87bn 2. Barcelona €2.78bn 3. Manchester United €2.73bn 4. In Lagos, a popular PDP chieftain who lost in his polling booth reportedly received $50m in cash a few days before the governorship elections N20bn each given to some key ministers and senior special advisers, especially in states where the PDP hoped to capture from the opposition Some pro-Jonathan support groups received about N16bn each “Please understand me, I am saying that the sum of $150m was just for the governorship election in Lagos. We are not talking about the sums they got for the presidential election. Only one out of the five people that shared the money gave some of it to local government chairmen. This person disbursed about N2bn. The rest of them sat on the money. Following the defeat suffered by President Goodluck Jonathan and his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, during the March 28 and April 11 elections, the President has asked the party and government officials who handled campaign funds to refund monies not spent, or those not judiciously expended, SUNDAY PUNCH can authoritatively report. Jonathan, credible sources said, has also set up a committee of five to get those with the funds to return them. Sources within the party and government told our correspondents that President Jonathan was disturbed that despite giving campaign coordinators, ministers, special advisers, close aides and friends, support groups and traditional rulers over N2trn in cash, most of them could not deliver their polling booths and local governments. The President was said to have been further irked by the results of an investigation he ordered. The probe showed that some coordinators used campaign funds to buy very expensive properties, especially in Abuja, and luxury cars. Some of the funds have also been traced to the bank accounts of senior party and government officials who were charged with the disbursement of funds to voters and groups. A reliable source within the Presidency told our correspondents that one of the President, who recently admitted to a few close aides that it would be difficult to retrieve all the funds, was bent on getting senior party and government officials who received funds to account for all monies collected. The source who is a close associate of the president said monies given to traditional rulers in different parts of the country, for example, would not be demanded for. But the source was quick to add that the President was determined to get his ministers, close aides and special advisers to make refunds. He said, “Some ministers did not get less than N20bn each. None of them can deny it because this fact isn’t hidden within government circles. The only problem with such monies is that there is no receipt to show that they collected money. The sad part is that almost all of them performed woefully. Even in the states where the PDP won, some ministers could not deliver 100,000 votes. They could not mobilise their people to come out. The President is not happy. They all went property and car shopping. This was the most expensive election in the history of this country, yet there was no result. “The sad part was that even after the President lost on March 28, more money was given to all of them to make up for the dismal outing by winning their states during the April 11 elections. But that turned out to be a bad decision because apart from losing the governorship election, we didn’t perform well at the National Assembly and House of Representatives polls. “They must give an account of the money since they didn’t use it for the election. The President is not particular about the funds spent on genuine campaign needs like the hiring of jets, advertisements and the rest that also cost billions of naira. His focus is on the individuals that collected billions to deliver their states but couldn’t even win their polling booths.” Our correspondents gathered that apart from the N20bn given to some key ministers and senior special advisers, especially in states where the PDP hoped to capture from the opposition All Progressives Congress, some pro-Jonathan support groups received about N16bn. A former legislator who was to print five million recharge cards, T-shirts and base ball caps has also come under pressure to account for the billions she received because only a few people got the items she was paid to produce. Also, a top female politician in Lagos who got a contract to produce and supply thousands of mobile phones with pro-Jonathan messages was said to have produced just a few and pocketed most of the funds. It was learnt that the funds Jonathan released were disbursed in three phases. Some were released before the March 28 elections, others on the day of the presidential election and more before the April 11 governorship polls. Already, the committee of five has started asking some of the campaign coordinators and ministers who received a minimum of N20bn each to give an account and also refund residual funds where applicable. However, our correspondents learnt that most of the people who received the funds had not cooperated with the committee. While some have not been forthcoming, others have simply ignored the committee. Jonathan is said to be particularly focusing on the South-West and northern states. In Lagos, a popular PDP chieftain who lost in his polling booth reportedly received $50m in cash a few days before the governorship elections. A senior PDP party member who spoke to one of our correspondents in Lagos over the weekend confirmed the cash splurge in Lagos. The source said, “Lagos was a show of shame. A few days to the governorship poll, about $150m was received in cash by about five top campaign coordinators. But they failed again, even more than we did in the presidential poll because we lost some areas we won on March 28 to the APC on April 11. They were to share this money to the local governments and the masses. “Please understand me, I am saying that the sum of $150m was just for the governorship election in Lagos. We are not talking about the sums they got for the presidential election. Only one out of the five people that shared the money gave some of it to local government chairmen. This person disbursed about N2bn. The rest of them sat on the money. “The coordinator that collected the sum of $50m later went to a Federal Government agency and complained of not having enough funds for the election and got an additional $20m. The story is the same in almost all the South-West especially Oyo, Osun, and the northern states. A female minister from the North, who got the highest amount of funds for that region, lost her state in a shameful manner.” Confirming that campaign directors in different parts of the country had been asked for an audit, the PDP Campaign Director in Akwa Ibom, Mr. Idongesit Nkanga, said the instruction was not new. He stated that the PDP’s campaign organisation in the state had concluded its audit. “It is the normal thing. It is the right thing to do for transparency’s sake,” he said. Nkanga said he would not be able to comment on the refund because he did not collect money from anyone. According to him, the PDP’s campaign organisation in Akwa Ibom State received a letter for an audit from the PDP campaign headquarters. He explained that “because the letter emanated from the national headquarters of the party, they were under obligation to submit the audit report about the campaign’s expenditure to them.” He maintained that at the campaign headquarters, some of the information was available, adding that he would not be able to give SUNDAY PUNCH accurate details offhand to avoid possible conflict in the figures. Asked what sanctions would be meted out to defaulters, Nkanga said they might be prosecuted. However, our correspondent reports that prosecution, while not impossible, may be difficult as most of the monies disbursed were not receipted. Contacted, the national leadership of the ruling PDP said it did not know anything about the money spent on its presidential campaign. National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Olisa Metuh, stated this in an interview with one of our correspondents in Abuja on Saturday. Metuh said only those put in charge of the funds were in a position to account for the monies. He said, “The national leadership of the PDP is not aware of any campaign fund. We were not part of it and therefore we can’t be asked to account for what we didn’t know anything about. “There was a campaign committee and only the committee is in the position to account for any fund.” Efforts made to speak with the Director-General of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Sen. Ahmadu Ali were unsuccessful. Ali, a former national chairman of the party, did not pick his call and also failed to respond to a text message sent to him. Similarly, efforts to get the Presidency’s reaction did not yield any result as calls made to the telephone line of the presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati, as at 10.30pm did not connect. |
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, yesterday(Friday, 17th April 2015), held a spirit- filled program in London themed ‘In Christ Alone’. INEC has not announced it yet but she is rumoured to be have won Yesterday's guber election in Taraba state........ Hajia Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, gubernatorial Candidate of Taraba State under All Progressive Congress (APC) party appears to be leading in the current polls and might emerge Nigeria's first female governor. Elected Senator for the Taraba North constituency of Taraba State, Nigeria in the April 2011 Federal elections. Jummai, a lawyer by training, became Taraba State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice. She was appointed the Chief Registrar of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on 17 December 2003. This is amazing! |
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is cementing its ruling party status in the country with massive wins in more than half of the states in Nigeria in the governorship elections. According to results announced so far, the APC won in 19 states and was leading in Plateau and Kebbi states. The ruling party now to become opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), however, won in Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Gombe and Enugu. While it lost the governorship seat in Lagos, the PDP won six seats in the Lagos State House of Assembly for the first time ever. Senator Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State, yesterday, broke the re-election jinx like he vowed last year. Since 1983, no governor has ever been re-elected in the state. The APC won the governorship elections in Kaduna, Sokoto, Niger, Borno, Adamawa, Lagos, Kwara, Katsina, Bauchi, Kano, Yobe, Zamfara, Oyo, Ogun, Benue, Nasarawa, Jigawa and Benue States. Yesterday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released results of the gov ernorship and House of Assembly elections held on Saturday, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning in majority of the states. At press time, from the results released by the INEC, the APC had already won 14 out of 29 states where governorship elections held on Saturday. In the poll, which was largely peaceful across the nation, the APC created upsets in states traditionally controlled by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) since 1999. Such states include Kaduna, Niger, Adamawa, Benue and Bauchi. For the PDP, apart from Imo, it literally had a smooth sail in the South-East and South-South, winning in Enugu, Ebonyi, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross River and Rivers. The party also won in Gombe and Taraba states. Ogun In the ‘Gateway State’, Governor Ibikunle Amosun was re-elected for a second term in office. The INEC Returning Officer for the state, Prof. Duro Oni, declared him winner of the April 11 governorship election having polled 306,988 out of 555,430 total valid votes cast in the state. With Amosun’s victory, the hope of the people of Ogun West to produce a governor of the state for the first time has once again been dashed. The district remains the only section that has yet to produce a governor for the state since its creation over 38 years ago. The governorship candidate of the PDP, Gboyega Isiaka, who came second behind Amosun with 201,440 votes, hails from Imeko in the Ogun West Senatorial District of the state. Declaring Amosun as the duly elected governor of the state, the INEC returning officer, who is also the deputy vice chancellor of the University of Lagos, said the APC standard bearer beat 15 other governorship candidates to emerge the overall winner of the poll. Oni also said the election did not hold in nine polling units spread across three local government areas of Odeda, Ogun Waterside and Sagamu. Katsina The APC gubernatorial candidate in Katsina State, Aminu Masari, won in all the 33 constituencies so far declared at press time yesterday out of the 34 in the state. The collation of the votes was deferred from 1pm till 3pm because the result of Fasakri Local Government Area was still being awaited. However, results so far declared showed that APC polled 613,132 votes as against 457,903 by the PDP in the election. A breakdown of the result revealed that the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, delivered his home constituency, Daura, with ease while Governor Ibrahim Shema lost in his Dutsin-ma constituency. Similarly, the governorship candidate of APC, Ma sari, won in his home constituency, Kafur, while his PDP counterpart, Musa Nashuni, lost in Kankia. Investigations revealed that though the governorship and assembly elections were generally peaceful in most local government areas, they were characterised by violence in some areas. The worst hit area was Danmusa Local Government Area, where the results of 10 out of the 11 wards in the constituency were cancelled due to violence. Kaduna Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Nasir El- Rufa’i, of the APC won the election. According to the INEC in Kaduna, El-Rufa’i polled a total of 1,117,635 million votes from across the 23 local government areas of the state. The INEC Returning Officer for Kaduna State, Prof. Ja’afaru Kaura, who announced the result, said El- Rufa’i defeated his main opponent, the PDP candidate, who is also the incumbent governor, Mukhtar Yero, who polled a total of 485,833 votes. Yero had earlier in a telephone conversation with El-Rufa’i and special radio broadcast conceded defeat and congratulated the winner. Meanwhile, there was jubilation among APC sup porters across the state as soon as the result was announced, with youths taking over major streets in Kaduna metropolis, singing and dancing. Enugu In the coal City state, the PDP candidate, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, was declared the winner in the election which he won overwhelmingly. INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Hilary Edoga, who declared the result at the commission’s office in Enugu, said Ugwuanyi fulfilled all the requirements of the law to be pronounced the winner of the governorship election in the state. Ugwuanyi polled a total of 482,277 votes out of the total 538,752 valid votes cast to beat the APC candidate, Chief Okey Ezea, who scored 43,839 votes. Former governor Chimaroke Nnamani’s party, PDC came third with 4,813, while APGA took the fourth position with 3,343 votes. The state chapter of the PDP in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Dr. Okey Eze, congratulated Ugwuanyi and all its candidates at the election, saying they had successfully won and overwhelmingly too. The Deputy Senate President, Chief Ike Ekweremadu, congratulated Ugwuanyi on his victory, saying his victory was very much expected as the PDP was not only the party on ground in Enugu, but also going by his over whelming popularity across the state. Gombe Governor Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe won re-election on the platform of the PDP. He won with 285,369 to defeat the APC candidate, Inuwa Yahaya, who got 205,132 votes, according to the Returning Officer, Prof. Saminu Ibrahim. Oyo For the first time since Oyo State was created on March 17, 1976, the incumbent governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has become the first civilian governor to be re-elected for a second term in office. Besides, it was jubilation galore in many parts of the state, especially within the camp of the APC, when Ajimobi emerged the winner of the keenly contested election. He was returned winner of the governorship elec tion having polled a total of 327,310 votes. The Returning Officer for the state, Prof. Ayobami Salami, who is the deputy vice Chancellor (Academics), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, announced that he defeated his closest rival, Senator Rashidi Ladoja of the Accord Party, who scored 254,520, with 72,790 votes. Ajimobi won in 20 local governments areas, while Ladoja won in seven. Otunba Adebayo Alao- Akala of the Labour Party (LP) polled a total of 184,111 votes and won in six council areas. The governorship candidates of the PDP, Teslim Folarin, polled 79,019 votes. Ebonyi The PDP governorship candidate, Chief Dave Umahi, was declared winner of Saturday’s election in the state. Umahi won all the 13 local government areas in the state to emerge winner of the keenly contested election in the state. The Returning Officer for the governorship election and the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (NAU), Prof. Joseph Ahaneku, while declaring the result of the election, said Umahi scored 289, 867 votes to beat his closest rival, Chief Edward Nkwegu of Labour Party, who polled 124, 817 votes. APC candidate, Senator Julius Ucha, scored 27, 583 votes. Sokoto The outgoing Speaker, House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, won the Sokoto governorship election. The state Returning Officer and Deputy Vice Chan cellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Prof. Abdullahi Bagudu, announced the results collated from the 23 local government areas of the state. Prof. Bagudu said out of 926,682 total votes cast, 32, 054 votes were invalidated. Bagudu stated that out of 958,736 votes cast during the poll, the APC, on which platform Tambuwal contested, scored 6747,609 votes, while the PDP came second with 269, 074 votes. Lagos In the Centre of Excellence, the APC has won the tension-soaked April 11 governorship election in the state. He polled a total of 811, 994 votes to defeat Mr. Jimi Agbaje of the PDP, who scored 659, 788 votes. The APC governorship candidate won the election in 15 out of the 20 local government areas in the state, while Agbaje won in Ojo, Amuwo Odofin, Ajeromi Ifelodun, Oshodi-Isolo and Surulere local government areas. The Returning Officer, Prof. Isaac Adewole, who is also the vice chancellor, University of Ibadan, said the APC candidate, having scored the majority of votes cast and scored 25 per cent of votes across the 20 local government areas, was returned as winner of the governorship poll. Meanwhile, the governorship candidate of the PDP for Lagos State, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, yesterday evening put a phone call through to Mr. Ambode, the APC candidate, to congratulate him on his victory in Saturday’s contest. Agbaje made the call at about 6.50pm. “I just made a phone call to congratulate Mr. Akin wunmi Ambode, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress,” Agbaje said, according to a press statement by the Director of Media and Publicity for the Jimi Agbaje Campaign Organisation, Felix Oboagwina. Delta At press time, in the oil-rich state, the PDP governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, won 16 of the 20 local government areas released by INEC, while Chief Great Ogboru of Labour Party clinched four local government areas. Delta State has 25 local governments. Rivers The results released at press time by INEC showed that Wike had won 19 out of the the 21 lo cal government areas. A breakdown of the results showed that PDP scored 82,289 in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, while APC got 26,367. In Ikwerre Local Government Area, Wike polled 23,511 as against 10,555 votes by APC. In Etche Local Government Area, PDP got 33,954, while APC scored 6,488. DPP came last with only 10 votes. Meanwhile, pockets of violence were recorded in major streets of Uyo in the afternoon of Sunday as the results were being relayed on Akwa Ibom Broadcasting Service. Youths in their hundreds marched through some major streets carrying placards and calling for “free and fair elections.” Major junctions such as Udo Udoma by Oron Road and Edet Akpan by Oron Road were blocked by the youths, who made bonfires and erected barricades, They were, however, dispersed by security agents who also cordoned off all access roads to INEC office. Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha and candidate of the APC at press time was coasting to victory, leading his closest rival, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and candidate of the PDP, Emeka Ihedioha. But the collation of results was put on hold over vehement disagreement between APC and PDP agents, forcing the returning officer to order for the re-computation of the results in Ezinihitte Mbaise. Abia At press time, the result from Abia State was not clear as the PDP and APGA candidates were running neck and neck, having won six local government areas of the state each. The con troversial results of Osisioma where the APGA agent, Ahamdi Nweke, alleged that there was no election, caused a stalemate. An international female observer, from the European Union Election Monitoring Mission, Sheller, supported Nweke’s claim. |

The type of stealing and corruption going on in the Federal Government of Nigeria is mind boggling. Information available to our correspondent suggests that a mind boggling sum of $700 million was allegedly found in the house of Nigeria’s Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke. According to information from an impeccable source, the huge sum in foreign currency was discovered recently by some security agents while conducting a search of the house of one her aides who resides in the ministers house but allegedly stole $10 million from the Minister. Maduaeke according to source admitted to the ownership huge sum of $700 million. “ she must have kept that very particular money in her aide’s apartment, because the unnamed aide is said to be one of the trusted one among others”, our source stated. It was further gathered that when this was reported to President Goodluck Jonathan, the president felt so sad and disappointed, he immediately invited Diezani Alison Madueke to his office for questioning and rebuked her severely. President Jonathan asked the Minister “for God sake what are you doing with $700 million in your home?” Mrs . Madueke retorted “I am keeping the money for you”. We gathered that President Jonathan just smiled and promptly asked her to go in peace. President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has been criticize by many Nigeria as being the most corrupt considering the president’s stance on corruption. The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders has chided President Goodluck Jonathan over his unwillingness to tackle corruption in the country. According to the group, corruption is the biggest problem the country is facing, besides the Boko Haram insurgency. CACOL’s Executive Chairman, Debo Adeniran, told SUNDAY PUNCH there was an urgent need to tackle the problem. “It is a known fact that corruption is the greatest problem confronting our country Nigeria, thus if combated frontally, it would definitely put an end to many other challenges facing us as a people,” he said. |

By getting more than 15 million votes to Goodluck Jonathan’s almost 13, General Muhammadu Buhari becomes the first man to overthrow (by the poll) a sitting Nigerian president. All Progressives Congress presidential candidate becomes the first man in Nigeria’s 16-year fourth republic to overthrow a PDP aspirant. For the first time, Buhari is no longer a leader of northern Nigeria. Statistics of this election show former military ruler now has the national approval he sorely lacked. This is the first time in four attempts that Buhari has won more than one state in the north-central zone. Before now, he never won a state in the southwest. Read some interesting facts below: 1.)He is the 23rd child in his family. 2.)Buhari was raised by his mother, after his father died when he was about three or four years old. 3.)He had 10 children (two are deceased). 4.)Buhari married twice, each wife born him 5 children. 5.)Buhari assumed military training in three countries: the United States, India and the United Kingdom. 6.)He raised cattle as a young boy. 7.)Buhari has eight military medals. 8.)He knew his successor, Ibrahim Babangida, was going to overthrow his administration. 9.)He was jailed by Babangida for nearly four years. 10.)The mother of the former military ruler died in 1988 while he was in imprisonment and was not allowed to attend her funeral. 11.)Buhari was one of the two private African individuals to be invited to US President, Barack Obama’s inauguration. 12.)In 1983, when Chadian forces invaded Borno State, Buhari used soldiers under his command to chase them out of the country, crossing into Chadian territory in spite of an order given by President Shehu Shagari to remove. 13.)He denied an offer to work with the late President Umaru Yar’Adua’s administration. 14.)He appointed the current Senate President as the Governor of Niger State in 1984. 15.)In March 1976, the Head of State, General Olusegun Obasanjo, appointed Buhari as the Federal Commissioner (position now called Minister) for Petroleum and Natural Resources. 16.)At 72, he would be the oldest person to ever rule Nigeria. The youngest was Gen. Yakubu Gowon at the age of 32. 17.)He is the third Fulani person to rule Nigeria. 18.)He had military training alongside a former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Aloysius Katsina-Alu. 19.)Buhari has been a candidate in every election since 2003. Twice as the candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples’ Party (ANPP) and once as the candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC). |

The truth is bitter they say, where do you belong? 1. Those Who Are Late For Everything: Some people are late because they're just really bad at being on time. They're late to everything: doctor appointments, their own wedding, and work(just name it). I don't know if there's any hope for these people. 2. Those Who Are Never Ashamed For Ever Being Late: They are already used to it and are never ashamed of coming late for church services. You will see them confidently bounce into the church. Some will even come late and start shaking hands greeting those involved in the same act as if their presence demand royal attention. 3. Those Who Have Little Regard For God: Speaking of those who walk into church late. Not everyone gets stuck in traffic or woke up late. If the church and God himself is so important to you, there is no reason to consistently walk in late. It seems completely disrespectful to me when people walk into the auditorium 1 or 2 hours into the service. 4. Those Who Think They Have Little Or No Problem: Some people believe that those who are poor and in need of money, success, prosperity and material things often go to church early to make their supplication to God. Therefore, they attend church service late because they are comfortable with their finance, situation and everything that surrounds them. 5. Because They Want To Skip The Worship: They don't want to have to stand there and sing the songs. They'd rather take their time getting to church and get there after the singing is over and be in time for the sermon. I know that in many churches the pastor isn't even in the room during the singing. He shows up 30minutes later when he appears on stage to preach. This sends a message to the congregation that the singing is something that can be skipped. 6. Those Who Spend More Time Wearing Make-Up: It often takes much longer for these ones to get dressed than anticipated (especially for the ladies). They will spend time applying make-up and other perishable parameters as if they are going for beauty peagent and before you know it, they are late for church. 7. Those Who Have No Reason For Being Late: It is a strange phenomenon. People who are never late for work, school, interview will saunter in 10 minutes to the end of the service and think nothing of it. They don't think the habit of being late for church is a big deal 8. Those Who Are Not Prepared For Anything: These people are never prepared for anything, they are never prepared for church services, lectures, interviews and so on and so forth |
Youths looking up to an incompetent and clueless man to continue ruling this nation |
Oooppz.. Looks like u've bin brainwashed |
The more I read comments and posts on NL and other social sites I feel bad and sad.. If we keep on going like this I can't see a better Nigeria. You should vote someone in for a second term based on his performance not because you hate is opponent or because you like him or because you are from the same state and you practise the same religion.. I dont like Jonathan neither do I like Buhari but am gonna vote for the right man because I need a change.. We voted Fashola in for another term because he worked day and night in making lagos a better place.. We dont care if he is embezzling our money right now because I believe he has done more than enough.. My advice to us all is not to vote because you like this person or not vote the right person in because you want a change and you want a better Nigeria.. Only evildoers and ENEMIES OF THE COUNTRY will vote Goodluck again.. I submit tentatively |
Former Nigeria President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has predicted that the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari will be the next Nigerian President which why those who are afraid of him are creating so many obstacles on his way, Saying “a general is always a general. Obasanjo, who was reacting to the controversies generated over the school certificate of GeneralBuhari said: “I see Buhari as the next President and Jonathan is aware of that, and that is the reason they are hitting him everywhere to put confusion in his camp. But a General is always aGeneral… “ The former President said the truth of the matter is that Jonathan is aware that Buhari is qualified to contest for President election but that “some hawks with Jonathan do not want him to contest because they believed that he will win and come for them. “The issue (of Buhari’s certificate) came up in 2007, and we investigated and found out that his WASEC is with the military and that was why he was allowed to contest in 2007. Buhari cannot listen to anyone about his certificates because as a General of Nigeria Army, he will speak when he chooses, not by Femi Fani Kayode and Okupe asking him. Fayose and other corrupt people including Kashamu do not want Buhari because of his anti- corruption slogan. “Even Jonathan did not finish his PhD course but when it was presented we stated that, it does not matter but many people do not know because it was PDP thing.” posted by dasdfgnb.. |
