I applied for PhD biomedical science. I called them this morning, I was also referred back to the program coordinator. I don't know why it's taking time. I tried taking my mind of it I can't 🤣 God's willing it'd be a congratulatory email but it's taking too lonh
Wow, also applied for the PhD Biomedical science program. It's seems all hope is lost , ETSu is the last school I am expecting their admission decision.

The program coordinator said that they are admitting only 7-10 graduate students.
So hopefully 😄

They asked me to explain how chromatography works (which I got correctly)

Some calculation about converting something from another (got it)

Basically , they will ask you chemistry questions.

Where I failed the interview were when they start asking behavioral questions about when I start teaching, how will I handle this and that..lol

Wow, thanks for this.

Pls how can i prepare for the behavioural questions.

An agency sponsoring H1-B undecided
Thus, there are 4 parties:
[1] USCIS

...

Thank you for your feedback. I'm considering pursuing both options because the H1-B visa process operates on a lottery system, resulting in less than a 50% chance of approval. While I could potentially be sponsored for an EB visa, the waiting period is typically 2-3 years. Therefore, I am exploring the study route as an alternative. Your input is appreciated.

Unsurprisingly, the US consular exchange rate has been adjusted to ₦1,500 per $.

https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/en/step-3/
This is my standard reference for dollar/naira translation per moving to US from Nigeria.
Supporting references include:
- FMDQ: https://fmdqgroup.com/exchange/
- GTBank internet banking (FxRates): https://ibank.gtbank.com/ibank3/main.aspx?
Please, I need your input on this matter. As a health worker, I've been in touch with an agency that is willing to sponsor me for the H1-B visa lottery. Additionally, I've applied to schools and am currently awaiting admission decisions. If, by chance, the H1-B visa application doesn't work out, could it affect my chances of obtaining an F1 visa? I've completed certification exams and hold the CGFNS VisaScreen certificate, which allows health workers to work in the US. Having these qualifications may indicate to a visa officer that I'm prepared to work in the US.

Therefore, I'm considering postponing my application for the H1-B visa lottery and waiting for admission decisions instead.

I'm facing a dilemma at the moment. Thank you.

Great. They usually have atleast 19 GA offers yearly and they award most in the Fall semester. Keep your fingers crossed. Also, you can apply for GA openings in other departments as well.
Pls is the 19 GA offers peculiar to a department alone or the whole institution?

Same as well. When the application is tracked it eads submitted to department for review. The deadline for application submission was yesterday.

Lets hope they decide this month. The decision needs to come on time so one can get appointment date for embassy.
Hopefully.

SPSS is majorly used in academia and I don't think most folks here are into project/dissertation/thesis analysis which mostly deals with inferential statistics.

Personally, I have not seen a reason to use SPSS. Excel, with it's various add-ins can give me what I want.

Please is there a clear distinction between thesis analysis(inference statistics) and data analysis??
I believe there is a form of correlation between the two.
Techniques like ( correlational , regression, ANOVA) I believe are synonymous to the two.
