A New Jersey teenager has to make a decision soon most high school seniors can only dream of -- deciding on which Ivy League school to attend in the fall. The problem, if you want to call it that, is that she was accepted into all of them. All eight of them.

Ifeoma White-Thorpe said she was shaking when she got the eighth acceptance letter.
"I was like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, like this might be eight out of eight and I clicked it and it said 'Congratulations' and I was like oh my goodness!" White-Thorpe told CNN affiliate WABC-TV.

White-Thorpe, a senior and student government president at Morris Hills High School in Rockaway, has to choose between Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, the University of Pennsylvania, Princeton, Dartmouth and Brown.
She wants to study biology and pursue a career in global health. Since all of the Ivy League schools "have great research facilities," she decided to apply to them all.

Students getting into all of the Ivies is a monumental feat, but it's happened to a handful of teens over the past couple of years.

- Growing up we faced a lot of challenges but the major challenge we faced was "Acceptance". Having a different skin color and hair texture made us stand out and we never felt like we truly belonged. Apart from a few good friends we never belonged to any cliques or groups like other people. Growing up in Nigeria people saw us as white and we never really blended in, so we were relieved to travel to Romania for our university education, just to get there and be called blacks. In Romania we got to find out the true definition of racism. Some Nigerians might not flow with you cos you don't have same skin color as them but they won't resort to violence but in Romania a "few people" could be real extremists. So once again acceptance was a problem cos people look at your skin color and think of you differently. For TBoss all that has come to an end now, after 11 weeks in the #bigbrothernaija2017 house people have actually begun to see TBoss as a real human, with real feelings and emotions, she gets happy, sad, angry, depressed, heartbroken and excited like every other human being, she plays, she eats, she drinks, she sleeps and has aspirations and goals like everyone else and for the first time the world has accepted her and stood by her side and fought for her. A week ago, a pregnant 19-year-old, Fredzania Thompson saw the tracks as the perfect backdrop for a photoshoot to launch her modeling ambitions.

"The photographer said she was moving," recalled Akamie Stephenson, mother of Thompson. "She was actually off the tracks. But she didn't move far enough, and it hit her."

Authorities say Thompson was standing between two sets of tracks Friday in Navasota when a BNSF Railway train approached.

Eyewitnesses told Stephenson that her daughter saw one train coming, and moved out of the way. She did not realize in doing so, she moved in front of another train coming from the opposite direction.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing. Authorities will examine the onboard video from the train that hit Thompson as part of the process. Thompson's mother worries that the stilettos her daughter was wearing may have slowed her efforts to run away from the oncoming train.


Meanwhile, her fiancé, Earl Chapman said he spoke to her that morning. "She told me she was headed to the photo shoot."

Imagine having a coma and waking up speaking an entirely different language. That was the case of a Nigerian teenage boy who almost lost his life after suffering a concussion during a game of football.

The boy, #ReubenNsemoh woke up from a coma speaking only in Spanish, it has been reported.

“ I was in shock and panic, ” 16-year-old Nsemoh’s coach, Bruno Kalonji , told WSB-TV .

According to Kalonji, Nsemoh stopped breathing several times after the blow.

“He will start coming back, then he will throw up. It was a sequence of things I’ve never seen, it was bad,” he added.
By the time the ambulance arrived, Nsemoh appeared to be having seizures. He ended up going into a coma for three days.

“It started flowing out,” the teen told TIME. “I felt like it was like second nature for me. I wasn’t speaking my English right, and every time I tried to speak it I would have a seizure.”

Well apparently after finally waking up, Nsemoh motioned for food before saying, “Tengo hambre,” (which means “I am hungry” in Spanish), surprising his mother who says he has never spoken Spanish so fluently before.

“I was very shocked. That’s something he’s never done before. When he got up and he started speaking Spanish, I was confused,” his mother said.

Even though this instance is very rare, it has happened before. Diagnosed as Foreign Accent Syndrome, people can randomly start speaking other languages after suffering Traumatic Brain Injury.

“Definitely, it’s a miracle,” Nsemoh said. “My son is awake, I don’t care what language he’s speaking. Whatever went on, he’s alive today and I believe 100 percent in recovery.”

She has since created a GoFundMe page to help raise $25k which would go towards paying his medical bills.
