The University of Ibadan on Wednesday said a 100 Level female Law student of the institution died on Monday during a show at her hall of residence

The cause of Deborah Effiong's death is still not certain. However, news making rounds on campus is that a girl who recently gained admission to study law in the University of Ibadan died from an overdose of a drug, tramadol.

The Oyo State Police Command has commenced investigation into her death.
"The initial statement from the school reads: It is with deep regret that the management of the University of Ibadan announces the sudden death of Miss Effiong Deborah Imarbong, a 100 Level student in our Faculty of Law on Monday, May , 2017 at the University College Hospital, Ibadan."

"Her sudden death, however, remains a mystery. It is in the light of the above that the university management wishes to state that the cause(s) of her death are still being investigated by the appropriate authorities. Moreover, her parents had been duly contacted by the relevant key officers of the university on the loss."

"It is pertinent to state that by the tradition of the Queen Elizabeth II Hall where she was a resident, an event tagged ‘Freshers /Finalists’ Week was organised by the hall's Executive Council."

The statement added that Imarbong became hyperactive and developed strange attitude after returning to the hall and left the venue after a wild dance.

"Her colleagues reported that the deceased was seen at the hall cafeteria, the venue of the movie show. Furthermore, it was reported that she was seen at about 8. 40pm. Thereafter, she received a telephone call from a fellow; she left the venue of the movie show to meet the caller. The fellow had been identified after her death by the Campus Security Service."

“It was further revealed that she left the venue of the movie show and, thereafter, there was a bang , which her colleagues explained, she jumped from a dangerous position in the Hall. She was later found by her colleagues in a seemingly helpless condition in the precinct of the hall”

Larry Gentry said this in a chat with BONONLINE, on Wednesday morning. “Mercy has mental issues and I'm the one who knows how many places we’ve been to so she can remain stable. I have papers to prove this.”

Larry disclosed that contrary to the news that made the rounds that he beat her up, it was Mercy that ganged up with her friends in Luminee House, to attack him. He claimed that while the others beat him, his wife hit him hard with a stool.

The 2016 blockbuster movie, The Wedding Party, a Nigerian romantic comedy drama film , directed by Kemi Adetiba and premiered on 8 September 2016 at Tiff Toronto and on 26 November 2016 at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos will be back again.

The director of "The Wedding Party," Kemi Adetiba, is not returning for the recently announced sequel.

The sequel which commenced shoot on May 1, 2017, is being directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, who is popular for "Out of Luck," "The Arbitration," "Room 315," and "Falling."

"The Wedding Party" isn't Akinmolayan's first film with one of the producers of the movie, Inkblot Productions. His movies "Out of Luck" and "The Arbitration" were produced by the production company.

In "The Wedding Party" sequel Nonso (Enyinna Nwigwe), has continued his romance with Deirdre ((Daniella Down) , the bridesmaid from London. Somehow, Nonso manages to propose by accident, while on a dinner date, and sets off a chain of events too powerful to stop.

Deirdre’s upper-crust British family are against the match, as are some members of the Nigerian clan, but Deirdre’s determination can't be contained.

Drake’s disappearance in Wizkid’s “Come Closer” is actually causing more harm than good, taking away the shine in the video despite the Drake fiasco.

Nigerians went as far as comparing Wizkid to Dbanj with reason that Dbanj was able get a ‘god’ like Kanye West to star in his video whilst Wizkid can’t get common Drake.

This comparison went viral and MTVBase got involved by asking fans to vote between Wizkid or Dbanj via a twitter post. Outrightly, Wizkid replied the post saying “So disappointed in y’all for bringing this up. After everything king Dbanj done in the game?!! Pls show respect!!”

I was born in Kaduna state. dad n mum didn't really have enuf but we were a happy family. Dad was a driver and mum was into pity trading.(she dey sell akara). They tried to give me n my siblings the best they cud offer. but mehn it wasn't easy . had to grind and work things out for myself. Yo I sold Garri in a wheel Barrow, I did a bricklayer job for months. I even had a part time job as a conductor. but my mum didn't know cause she will be heart broken. ( she loves me too much). I never STOLE from anyone but I sometimes SHIFT my mother's money . after all na my mama mother. I bless God for bringing me this Far. iam not where iam headed but iam certainly not where I used to be mehn. I proceeded to Jos for my university degree and I even faced worse situations. Cheiiii my first 2yrs as a diploma student in unijos was bad. a pair sneakers , Jean n shirt for over 6months. I recall a female course mate of mine shut me up in class once and said 'if people dey talk this one go dey talk too abi? with him one shirt and shoe' . well I proceeded to do a degree programme and she cudnt even finish her diploma with all cloths and shoes(eyaaa). All I had was God and my dreams. I graduated 2010 and JULIUS AGWU put me on his london show for August. I landed London with high hopes and promised my dad I was going to buy him a shirt. I bought the shirt quite alright and gave it to my dad but I had to drop it in his CASKET. he passed on before I could return from my first trip abroad. I will be returning to the UK this Friday 14th April 2017 for Funnybone Untamed. My comedy special. the Moral of this write up is simple. Keep pushing and don't stop pushing. God no dey sleep. #bless
