Yes

how can I also apply for the UBA scholarship

hayo:
Don't fall into the trap of bad advisers. Below are things you should be thinking about:

1. Nigeria generally has a bad educational sector. Graduating with an Engineering degree does not necessarily mean you'd be a great Engineer.
2. The physical sciences like Maths, Physics and Chemistry can give you competitive advantage if you know how to navigate the terrain.
3. The most important thing is that you are in Year 1 - use that to your advantage and since you love Physics, push to get the best grade possible. A first class in Physics opens several doors for you. A strong 2:1 with skills like coding can also do wonders.
4. With a great grade, you will be able to fight for jobs in almost any sector in Nigeria. But more important, you would have the opportunity of getting full ride scholarship to American and Canadian Universities. That should be your goal. And I mean it.
5. In your spare time, pick a programming language. Be ahead of your peers. See if you can even do some of your assignments using such a programming language. The best software developers I know are Maths and Physics graduates. This is another career path that you can excel in. And no one would discriminate against you for not having a computer science degree.

Life is what you make of it. Also great to have mentors who can tell you the truth about the work place and not beer palour discussions. People told me back then that a Maths degree would only open doors to teaching career. It was the greatest lie from the pit of hell.

Again, do your utmost best in school. Get curious. Learn complementary skills. Browse the Internet for the advances in Physics from top Universities around the world. Go to Coursera.org and see Physics courses you can do online that challenges what they teach you in Lautech. And you are on the way to a great life.

Have you ever been in a situation where your form submission using Ajax submits twice into the database?
Submitting twice is causing duplicate entries in the database.

Somehow i battled this for two hrs and nearly gave up!

until i found this >>
e.preventDefault();
e.stopImmediatePropagation();

well, i found that this works perfectly See sample

where can I get it?

are you programming with your phone?

Vecto:
Bros relax.

The reason why I asked for his contact is this.

I have zero knowledge of programming, hence, I need someone who can explain from the basics. I stumbled upon this thread while searching for tutorials on how to learn programming for beginners. I read half way but I'm still confused. I have a friend who knows how to code but he doesn't have time.

He just leaves me with his laptop with a bunch of tutorials as guide through. Like right now I'm just staring at it. It's all Greek to me.

ok,may god help us all. Success in your programming

Op, you have been doing a great job. But,it a while you posted and update your topic "python". For thoes asking for contact or the other. Pls,discard their comments and focus on this thread. Many have benefited and will still be benefited. Pls,continue and i wish all python programmers out there the very best.

u can just design any website as progect/practice. Eg google,facebook,youtube.

lostluggage:
tell me the learning path you took bro.. i mean the languages u learnt

i am into web. I started wit html/css and covered everything under a week wit full practice. After dat i took php,mysql and javascipt. Althoug, the last 3 i mentioned took me a month+ to finish.

I lov to be a javanian, but javascript and python are what i learn easily and understand myself.

well done

mummyjess:
Can I learn any of these courses online without leaving my home because I am a nursing mum? which is easier to learn n profitable?

good morning ma. Dont mind thoes people asking to pay b4 teaching you. As u have asked, you can learn all these stuff at the comfort of ur home with dedication. Let me use myself as an example. I learn web design and web development alone using youtube. All u need are all on youtube. You just need time and dedication ma. I am in my year one now studing ind. Mathematics. And i have been assing most of our computer science in one area or the other. Also,take time to read online. Cheers!

Tutorialspoint.com and thank me later.
