Food / Re: HERO Beer: Market Implications With Their Affiliation To South Africa Business by DauraIsAGoal: 11:05am On Sep 08, 2019

This write-up is watery! Peter Obi invested Anambra state money in SABMILLER, acquired greater share for the government and kept about 10% for himself. And with the local content being 'Igbo', the Igbos 'forced' themselves into liking it, although it's somewhat nice. But to say the truth , HERO sells more than any other beer in the SE and SS. About 95% of workers there are Nigerians. So, shift for corner abeg!
Life beer sells more than Hero

Lazy youth spotted. The amount of gasoline and AGO being consumed in all states is a good indication of traffic population.
Publish it here let us see.
So Gasoline and AGO are used for vehicles only? How about industries?

Maybe 50% but 70% is a bit far fetched.
Even 20% is far fetched

Useless false claim. Some people will just open their mouths and spew whatever nonsense that comes out of it

@DauraIsAGoal... O'boy, I have been following your threads. where are you getting your orientation from? That's not true. I'm currently working in the brewery industry (sales dept- 4 years). Initially, you might have to find a balance. But then again who wouldn't adjust with new opportunities. Stop scaring people from this opportunity.
Working in this industry is beautiful!
Which brewery? I was specific with NB. Let a current NB sales personnel come and counter all I said

On the location you talked about, you mean sales regions right? Can you please explain further how a location can deter you on the job?. Thanks

1. Distance from family and friends. You hardly get a chance to travel even on public holidays and weekends, only during your leave. So it is better if your work location is close to your family and friends.
2. Economy of the area. You and the team you supervise are expected to make all NB brands available in all the outlets (beer parlours, provision stores, supermarkets etc) in your coverage area, so the better the economy of the place, the easier it is for you to achieve that. Sales on credit and debts will be less.

Generally if the economy of the area is good, it is easier for you to meet all your targets. Less pressue and headache for you.

lols... Tnks.. do they easily sack staff who don't meet target?
Not 'easily' per say, but they do if it is consistent. There are also many other traps and landmines on the job that can get one sacked

please i meant will you advice person with a job of 65k and bit peace of mind to NB sales executive job?
I just laid it out for you to choose. You can take the risk, you might end up in a good location, where things are going well. There is also possibilities of switching roles/departments once inside.
I don't know what to advise you.

bro pls will you advice one with 65k and a bit peace of mind job for this job?
You will earn much more than that, but how much will remain with you out of it depends on the location you are posted to and the manager you work under. As for peace of mind, it doesn't exist in NB.

Sales is not easy..a lot will jump at the opportunity..but 12 months down the line..u will have money but the frustration and pressure will be intense!.. I totally align with Dauraisagoal..its not only in NB.. but other coys?..esp those with Indians or Lebanese as heads in their sales dept.
In NB, you will be lucky if you see the money. You might be in debt due to spending your salary on the job.

Lolzz, I understand where you are coming from sir, having spent 6 years in the sales(FMCG) industry..
... I have worked in consolidated breweries, Nigerian Breweries, currently working with Ab-inbev(international Breweries), I will say the sales job can be sometimes very CHALLENGING and stressfull, the question is what job is not as challenging and stressful?, all you need is just to be proactive, committed and passionate about what you do , the sales job is an interesting job.
Only someone who is CURRENTLY working in NB sales team will understand

yes they did in 2017 and it was massive but alot of companies did at that time too.... cause of the economic down time, but you are sure of your job security when you work in line with their set goals and objectives, overall it's a nice place to work and grow.
Recruitment going on now is due to massive resignations from colleagues on that role. Imagine how terrible a job would be for people to be resigning despite the present economic situation

Be ready to spend part of your salary back into the job in order to meet targets, develop high BP due to pressure, abandon family and friends due to terrible work/life balance etc

Where are the 23 Nigerians? If the Saudi authorities did not inform the Nigerian government of their crimes where then did the author of the story got the information from?
It is fake news concocted by some ibos, I have no doubt.
So what was the below about
most of the trials were carried out without adequate legal representation for the accused, in accordance with internationally accepted legal principles.

It said, “Furthermore, the Nigerian Mission was not informed of the arrests and trials. The Federal Government is, therefore, engaging the Saudi authorities through diplomatic channels with a view to finding a just solution.”
