TUBLEZ: looking to sell my 2012 luxury sweet ride 😀use the money buy sharp DC 2007 V6 then run CNG on it.. man can’t continue like this , hv not work for over a month now It is quite unfortunate that Nigeria has reached a point where individuals are compelled to dispose of valuable assets in order to acquire lower-grade alternatives, simply to remain financially afloat. Do not buy a V6, I repeat do not buy a V6. While CNG is presently being embraced as a cost-saving alternative, it is important to approach this trend with caution. There is no guarantee that CNG will remain affordable or sustainable in the long term. A potential increase in its price, or unforeseen operational challenges, could place users in difficult situations. Additionally, the current market trend shows a shift away from high-engine vehicles, with many buyers opting for smaller, more fuel-efficient cars. This could make it challenging to resell vehicles with larger engines, thereby tying down capital for extended periods. What you should be doing is look for other vehicle brands other than the popular Toyota and honda with 1.0 to 1.5litre engine to buy and not more than 2m. I will never support anyone to carry 5m and invest in this hustle! Never! |

Pearl1910: Oga getat 😃... Kumuyii done talk in 1 day wetin u no fit talk for over one year. It's now u are saying it. Either u are ignorant of what u are doing or u are deceitful in hiding d truth all these while. Cng will not do anything it only exposes all d problems of your engine. Shey na talk be that? Engine functions that brainbox didn't say is bad before, it's CNG that will now come and tell u it's bad. U know there are people that CNG has spoilt their engine but u will not want to say it here, u will say the person was driving with bad engine before, CNG just come knock am. A typical Nigerian will tell you what you want to hear so you can bring out money, don't blame him CNG saves you profit but that's not the way to go. What we should be agitating for is fair pricing across all apps. Here are some cons of CNG 1. In some cars, cng messes with the electrical and brain box functions. E.g, gear goes to limp mode, car goes off on gas. Etc 2. You change plug faster using CNG just keep money down 3. CNG spare parts are expensive just incase you need to get parts replaced 4. There is a noticeable lag in the vehicles acceleration 5. You still have to buy fuel to enable you start your car as the engine should be started on fuel to preserve engine life 6. Most CNG technician will persuade you, oh convert your car, it's the next sweet thing after fried rice, but when the car starts misbehaving, they will blame your engine and leave you to carry your cross. Most guys that are dekitting, na some of these challenges dem dey face Normally CNG conversion no suppose pass 250k to 300k but trust naija people, they will use every opportunity they get to extort their fellow man Mind you, your car wil consume the same amount of gas just like it will on fuel, the only difference is that gas is cheaper so you may think your car consumes less gas. If I remember more, I go drop |

ReadaDream: Please attend to the IACV issue very fast.. since you drive EOD, you know how connected the throttle body and the gear is.
I almost ran mad last year trying to fix banging/slipping and staying in limp mode issue when on CNG at low rpm. I even replaced the gear, thinking it was bad. That didn't solve the problem.
I spent well over 700k trying to get a solution... after extensive research, I figured its Idle related issue.
I told my mechanic to service the IACV, then increase the Rpm speed too 1100 at idle and 1000 on full load <ac and gear>.. case solved . Shey na so oyinbo man do the car? |

Vela01: Boss, Ibadan is generally like that for business.
In Lagos, I use the same toyota matrix. With 10k fuel, I should make 20k net.
The things is, target residential areas in the morning, and buzzing centers during the day. Ventura in Samonda, heritage in dugbe, ShopRite in ring road etc. If I get you correctly, you both earn the same He makes 10k profit (After fuel and commission deduction) You make 20k net (After commission deduction alone) Except if you mean otherwise |

Nelochukwu: Iz not about continuing. Uber is d best app. Ave often wondered y drivers don't use them. With Uber u make more driving with them than any other app. Their commission u won't even feel it cause u make much more. Just that their wahala is much like things u can get away with other apps u can't with Uber. Documents etc is hectic but once u r sorted and ready to drive with them, u must make it.
It's d best drivers app in my opinion. Just ignore d trips u don't like but once u accept a trip try consummate am. Till you end trip and it shows 14k and their commission is 6k, your eyes go clear |

hardiodun: I hear you, but I will not be unfortunate sir, neither will my problems double, rather, I'd have a success story 😁. I'm sure some persons on here would have been running HP/rental successfully, despite the challenges for years. I know nothing good comes easy, however with God on my side and the necessary modalities in place, it will end in praise for me. Still, thank you for your suggestion. You asked other things like as if you were willing to listen He answered, yet you countered him that you're still bent on doing this business cos other people are doing it 😂 The truth is other folks here doing rental and hp, they didn't tell you they bought their car when cars were cheap. You'd invest 3m on a car, then maybe extra 500k for papers and maybe one or two fixes. Then you give it out for 4.5 or 5m. How long will you have to wait to regain your 3.5m before you now start looking at profit? I'd advice you start with one car and see. Only then will you know if you'd buy another one |

PuZZyNegro: Don't you think you're being extreme with your analysis.
How do you expect someone to start working by 7am and close by 10pm? That's overstretching yourself.
Nobody can do that consistently. Because if you close by 10pm, before you would get home, eat, bath, and sleep, it should be around 12am.
And you'll wake up by 5am again to prepare and go out by 7am. This is not a good practice and almost unrealistic.
Let's be sincere, the effort we put in this work is no longer measuring up with the reward. All this 40k, 50k net analysis is to give hope to people that something is still left of the business.
To me, 30k for a 1.8 litre engine is more practical to be earned consistently. This has always been my stand You are blessed |

SHOOPSYN: Lagos state government Tax official viewing ehailing apps Posting the dashboard is not actually bad. But posting without details of your actual net is the problem. I smile whenever I see Bolt social media handles post with huge amounts make by drivers. Ofcurse, they don't care if you use fuel, urine or do car maintenance. Unfortunately, drivers also do this or even lie about their expenses and time spent daily, just to drive home their point of been a lucrative business. Nevertheless, it doesn't rule out the fact that you will one way or the other break even, but not as some describing it because of their ego, especially those generally low demands periods. Only few drivers post their car maintainance, but can post dashboard whenever demands are high. As if there are no other days that you will ask yourself, do you really know about this business . The point is, high dashboard is possible and also low demands and high car maintenance is possible. Week in, week out theory is still going through testing in the lab. However, motivation is good, but the absence of its reality makes it.... ... Well said God bless you |

Baba no let any body deceive you, prices of trips are far worse than how it used to be Infact it has reversed to pre fuel increment era You will be seeing 30 something km trip for 7800 on indrive, even some bolt 1.9 surge will leave you wondering. Na person here do 400 and something km for 100k plus and came here to say he used 25k fuel🙄 If I was to charter him to delta (drop off) for 100k plus he will decline without thinking twice Also, will he use 25k fuel from Lagos to Delta? Im not telling him anything I haven't or even my friend who just started hasn't done. If one is disciplined and really treat hailing as a business u will go far and save. I saved bro from this business.
It takes dedication and zeal. Self talk even wen d going gets tough. Just resolve to save EVERYDAY you drive and u will be fine.

well, I wouldn't say it's impossible, it all depends on the person and the car. if the car is in perfect condition and the person is determined, he can save 600k monthly and in 7months, he should make the 4m.
mind you, 600k monthly savings is just 20k daily and it's very much achievable even for a family man with 1 kid. 600k savings abi I hope you have eaten sha |

PuZZyNegro: No, Bolt is not more profitable. You have to use both apps now to break even. I'm telling you for a fact... Especially now that indrive is also giving bonus.
For the past 3 weeks, I've not paid much to Indrive. I discovered that most riders book Bolt now after being ignored by Indrive drivers. One was booking from Anthony to Arowojobe Street, Mafoluku and put 3900 naira and no driver was accepting it.
The same trip came to me on Bolt and my net was 3100. Just imagine 3100 from Anthony to oshodi So those people shouting bolt is better, can you see how ridiculous bolt prices are🙄 |
