They will come for you!
Let me guess the line......"he's not using the right tool"

I have spent over 200k in a month fixing my car. If it's not engine, it's cranshaft or cranshaft sensor. Just changed tyres this afternoon. Got a trip on bolt to ajah for 16k. Another from Ajah to Anthony village 17500. I don dey happy say the day is going well until tyre kpafuka. 50k don go for tyre and alignment.

Don't get it twisted....people are making millions in this same hustle 😊
People are spending just 50k maintenance in a month and are making millions

You instead is making 33500 yet spending 50k on maintenance DAILY 😂

well, not all but it's a rare case.

if you're lucky to meet the ambitious one, they tend to manage the car very well and also remit consistently but it's really a rare case.

if you must do rentals, there are things you also need to put in place to ensure the durability of the car.

1. be in charge of oil change. You see drivers, they really do not care about this, they don't mind driving that car till last drop of oil if you put them in care of oil change. you can always reset the car trip AorB and ask him to bring it for oil change at a certain km coverage.

2. Ensure you inspect and drive the car once in 2 weeks, this is to make sure the driver isn't rough handling the car.

3. Tracker is very important, infact, secret surveillance camera is important too, this is to know the kind of person you're entrusting your property to..

also, I will advise you settle for daily delivery, this will make it easy for the driver to stay consistent as many do not know how to save ahead of delivery day.

have a standard terms and agreement, the car will always be his responsibility no matter what happens on the road, he has to ensure the safety of the car and in case where police, VIO, lastma, or road safety Impounds the car for any offense, he has to ensure the release of the car.

make sure you collect a refundable deposit too.

this doesn't guarantee a smooth relationship tho but at least, it will give you some sense of relaxation and peace if you put them in place.
I think say this Damian was your partner
Na you come dey advice am now 😂

But why should this be the case?

Why should an owner cry for entrusting a vehicle to someone to make a living for himself and in return pay a certain commission to the owner? Are you implying that all drivers are wired mentally to cause pain to owners?
I still don't know why you insist of being an owner partner

Why don't you hit the road yourself, drive and make millions
Instead of crossing yourself your leg at home waiting for someone to do the work and pay you peanuts

Is 50k for maintenance even realistic?
Or doesn't the maintenance include repairs and servicing?
Yes!
50k for maintenance is realistic but there is a BUT!!!

There will be months the car will/may demand for X4 or X5 of that amount
Everyday is not Christmas

First of all, let me say I just got on InDrive few days ago. Before that, I was just on Bolt Regular, and I usually wait hours before getting trips. Also, my car is manual. It's not easy driving long hours in lagos traffic with a manual car.

Let me answer your questions...

1. I work 8 hours a day.

2. I buy like 13k fuel each day. My fuel gauge is always around full tank. I started eith a full tank, so I just basically top up everyday.

3. 3- 4 trips a day.
So basically your issue is lack of back to back trips on bolt regular. This is expected cos of the period we're in currently.
What you can do to mitigate this pending when the business picks up is get all apps, on all of them and choose any favourable trip of your choice that pops on any

Avoid dead driving to reposition

Avoid traffic zones (don't be fooled by the pricing)

Your earning calculation should be 10k per hour 5k for 30mins (any trip that doesn't meet this condition please look away)

Give yourself a weekly target and be disciplined about it i.e 130k weekly as a starter (50k savings, 50k for yourself, 30k for car repairs).
Then break the target into days i.e 26k daily excluding fuel for 5days

Only take trips to places you're sure you can get trips at a certain time of the day ( morning, residential to commercial and in the evening, commercial back to residential)

Don't joke with Friday to Monday please and avoid wherever you see lots of drivers parked discussing and looking for trips

Good day to you all.

I know people don't like to disclose how much they earn, but maybe some people that don't mind to give me an idea of how much they make from this hustle. I drive a Nigeria used KIA Cerato (2006 model) I bought 3 years ago. It's a 2.0 engine car. i'm on Bolt Regular and I got on In drive 4 days ago. Based on the 3 weeks I have done this so far, I'd say I make an average of 20k a week (after removing fuel money)...working 5 days a week. That's pretty low, and I want to know how other people are doing.

Is it because i'm new to the business, or because my car chops fuel. I just want to know.

Thanks in advance.
25k profit in a week?
Something is wrong
I have few questions for you and i might know how to help you

1. How many hours do you work each day?
2. How much fuel do you buy daily?
3. What is a rough estimate of the amount of trips you take daily?

And in what way is your Toyota Camry better than the 2008 Honda he intends to buy?

Good day people. I do Bolt driving in lagos, and I hardly get rides. Maybe 3 a day. I live around egbeda-idimu area. Who can advise me on spots to drive to that would increase the likelihood of getting more requests. It gets tiring just sitting in the car for hours.
If you don't have economy option on Ur app sorry is Ur name

I wonder why some people will still allow themselves to be coerced to think Toyota is the only brand with parts available and good resale value.

Just imagine someone is suggesting a Camry drop light at 4m in 2025, a car that is older than Genz. Damn!

When 4m can actually get you other brands with good aesthetics and will still serve the purpose

There are other good brands out there guys
I met a guy using an 010 mitsubishi lancer for this hustle.
Very sweet and clean ride
The part full Ladipo

There's Kia, Hyundai, Peugeot, Benz, Honda among others

Even the Honda EOD and DC wey people dread before cos leg dey pull na him don full everywhere today. Their minds have been open to see that the legs doesn't just pull anyhow.

And to that guy that wants to get a car for his wife and it must be Toyota, stop following the band wagon, look further and you'll be glad you did.

In a sane economy , 4m should get you a good 2.4 Camry but due to the situation of the economy, it can't.

So it either U spend the 4m and buy a Camry and will still spend more funds on it to put it to shape or you spend lesser on other brands with everything almost perfect and still have change for yourself. The ball is in your court

During December I rode with my AC on level three.... I just want the client to enjoy what they are paying for..
Normally, na level two I dey always put m except I'm alone in the vehicle or driving at night or early morning - then level one/low works perfectly.

My fan motor/coil got burnt n I replaced it.
However, I noticed something strange this wk.
If I'm not accelerating or if m packed with my engine on, the AC no dey blow again o! na just fan dey role.

Pls, what is happening or has happened to my AC?
Compressor is about to visit the hospital or mortuary grin
Good thing is if your compressor is manual, it can be fixed. If it's automatic, you have to replace it
