“The APC should beware of a crack in the party that would tear it into three factions.

“If care is not taken and the PDP fails to properly reconcile their warring factions, the Supreme Court judgment may favour Ali Modu Sheriff.

“The northern arm of the APC Governorship Forum may break. President Buhari may not have the capacity to contest in 2019 while there would be so many candidates contesting. We should even be very prayerful for him to complete his first term.

“We need prayers so that democracy would not cause problems in Nigeria. The military should beware and strategize against some serious bombing of strategic places in the country.

“We have predicted the rancor rocking the NASS, but I want to say that the current trouble in the Assembly is not over as there are more crises ahead in the two legislative houses.

The Minister of Youths and Sports, Solomon Dalung, is in the news again for the wrong reason after he went viral following the surface of a video of him appearing before the house of representatives committee on sports to defend allocations to the sports ministry.

Although that session held on Friday, the video surfaced over the weekend, because Dalung told the committee that the 2016 Olympics funds ‘spended’ by the ministry were properly “spended”.

He said:

“Before we left for Rio, we wrote and requested for the release of monies appropriated for in the budget and it has not been released for the federations,”

“Four hundred and fifty million naira was appropriated for Olympics, then we spent far far far beyond that, so… monies that were given to the federation could not have been monies meant for Olympics.”

2016 BATCH 'B': NYSC TO MOBILIZE ALL ELIGIBLE GRADUATES

The National Youth Service Corps has assured that all eligible graduates will be mobilized for the 2016 Batch 'B' service year.

The Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, gave the assurance during his maiden parley with the media in Abuja.

Kazaure said this followed a Federal Government's directive to that effect.

He said what was left of the provision made for mobilization of Corps members in the 2016 budget could only accommodate eighty-six thousand prospective Corps members.

The Director-General, however, added that following the federal government's intervention, all the one hundred and seventy thousand prospective Corps members that successfully registered online are now being processed for 2016 Batch 'B'.

"So far, we have received green light from the relevant government agencies to prepare for the mobilization of all qualified prospective Corps members.

"However, the limited cumulative capacity of the Orientation camps nationwide necessitates a second stream Orientation course for the 2016 Batch 'B' which is being planned for January 2017," he said.

Kazaure lamented the failure of some states and local governments to discharge their statutory obligations to the Scheme pointing out that their attitude resulted in the limited capacity and quality of facilities in most Orientation camps across the country.

The Director-General stressed that the provision of Orientation camp facilities and post-camp accommodation and transport of Corps members were among the responsibilities of states and local governments as spelt out in the NYSC Act.

Others he enumerated include logistics support for inspection of Corps locations, material support for community development service and security of Corps members.

He, therefore, appealed to states and local governments that are not discharging their statutory obligations to reconsider their stance and give their support towards the success of the Scheme's operations.

The Abia-state-born Comedian died in the early hours of Monday after performing as an MC in an event yesterday being Sunday, 13th Dec. 2015.
Reports reaching Naijalads.com has it that the Popular Comedian and Nollywood Actor Dede One Day died of High blood pressure.

"One Day anchored a program for One Mr Charles Esonu yesterday in Aba, from there he went to Ugwunagbo for another event he was paid to anchor as Master of ceremony , but he couldn't conclude that event as he fell sick and was rushed to the hospital over BP related issue and he died late in the Night" ... a Source said.
